Chapter 372 Nine Meals a Day

The tribal chief, his beard bristling, and the elders of the tribe had their pupils constricted in shock. They finally understood that Bai Ye wasn't just talking before; he genuinely intended for them to leave the great mountains and establish a new city here!

"Oya! We're moving to a new home!" Robert and a group of young warriors cheered, waving their arms.

Bai Ye waved his hand, and the long convoy of carts drove straight into the Narath mountains.

The Narath mountains were forested on their hills, with vast grasslands between the hills. From a distance, one could see many colossal beasts grazing leisurely. Occasionally, terrifying roars from the forest would make them raise their massive heads to observe.

The large herbivorous magical beasts had carved out a network of roads across the grasslands. Following these paths, Bai Ye and his entourage smoothly ventured deep into the Narath region. Along the way, they encountered a few foolish, lesser magical beasts. Bai Ye didn't need to act; Robert and the other young warriors took the lead. For tougher ones, Kail and Dilov would lend a hand, but it didn't take much time.

"Ugh!!!"

A great river blocked their path ahead. As Bai Ye and his group approached, a colossal magical beast lunged out of the water. Its crocodile-like jaws were filled with fangs, its streamlined fish body gleamed with scales, and the serrated fins on its back radiated a chilling glint.

"Who dares to trespass into the territory of Lord Demesten the Demon King without permission!"

The magical beast transformed into a human-like form and landed by the river, glaring menacingly at Bai Ye and his group.

"Dwarves?" The magical beast was startled to see a group of dwarves, then shifted its gaze back to Bai Ye and the snake woman. From the aura emanating from the snake woman, it sensed her strength was not inferior to his. What made him even more wary was the ordinary-looking man in the carriage, whose depth he couldn't fathom at all. What made his heart panic was that this fellow was appraising him with a peculiar gaze, a look that sent chills down his spine!

Dilov, the snake woman, and others stared at the magical beast, swords drawn.

Meanwhile, Bai Ye was contemplating quietly. He hadn't seen such a large fish on Blue Star; he wondered how it would taste.

Seeing Bai Ye remain silent, the snake woman, acting as his 'steward,' immediately spoke, "This is Lord Ye Ge, the Demon King. I am Lord Ye Ge's steward, Dusa Gorgon. These dwarves have pledged their allegiance to Lord Ye Ge and become his dependents. We are here in Narath for an important matter to discuss with Lord Demesten!"

"Demon King? No wonder I felt uneasy." The magical beast was clearly surprised. He believed much of the snake woman's explanation, and his gaze towards Bai Ye gained a hint of respect.

However, he maintained some caution. "Forgive my rudeness. I am Tract Miles, one of the ten great subordinates of Lord Demesten. May I ask why Lord Ye Ge has come with such a large entourage to see Lord Demesten? If it's convenient, I can report to him on your behalf."

The snake woman subtly frowned. She had intended to infiltrate the core region and meet the Demon King first, but she hadn't expected the Demon King's subordinates to be so meddlesome.

"There are two matters!" Bai Ye leaped from the carriage and walked up to Tract Miles, a faint smile on his face.

"First, I request that Lord Demesten leave the Narath region and lend it to me for a few days."

Tract Miles's pupils instantly constricted. He stared at Bai Ye in disbelief, thinking he had misheard. Disputes over territory were common among magical beasts, but that was on the Teytas world. On this channel world, for stability and to counter the other two major races, there was a rule against internal conflict over territory.

As the magical beast Tract Miles was about to speak, Bai Ye continued, "Second, I'd like to know what species of fish you are and how you taste?"

At this moment, the snake woman and the dwarves were shocked. How could someone ask such a question so directly?

Tract Miles's expression changed dramatically, and his demonic power surged wildly. The visitor was hostile!

"You! You are too arrogant, showing no regard for Lord Demesten at all!" Tract Miles conjured a water shield around himself, while the river behind him churned violently. Dozens of colossal heads formed from river water surged out, their mouths filled with sharp fangs, lunging at everyone.

So strong! The dwarves immediately activated their magical artifacts, bracing themselves with all their might. A Demon King's subordinate was not to be underestimated. But unfortunately, they had encountered Bai Ye, who was slightly more powerful than an ordinary Demon King.

Bai Ye's body exuded a frigid aura that shot forward. Wherever it passed, vegetation froze, and the air crackled with the sound of ice forming.

The moment the two forces collided, the flood beasts emerging from the river and the water shield around Tract Miles instantly froze.

Bai Ye raised his hand and pointed lightly. With a whooshing sound, the frozen flood beasts and the shield shattered, scattering into tiny particles on the ground.

Even magic could be frozen? What monstrous ice power was this? Amidst the shock, a cold gleam flashed like a streak of light, and Tract Miles's head was severed from his body.

Suffering a fatal blow, Tract Miles revealed his true form. His massive body convulsed violently. The huge fish eye on his head still held confusion and fear. The grassy riverbank was stained with bright red blood, which flowed into the river, dyeing it a deep crimson.

"Put away the fish body. We don't need this head; it looks too scary." By the river, Bai Ye sheathed his sword and, to the astonished gazes of everyone, kicked the magical beast's massive head into the river.

"We'll have fish for dinner tonight." Robert licked his lips, sheathed his magic sword, and trotted forward excitedly. "Belle, Kiki, hurry up and help me! I can't move this alone!"

The fish body, twenty to thirty meters long, barely fit into the carts, and even the incredibly strong one-legged bulls strained to pull it.

To preserve its fresh taste, Bai Ye simply flash-froze it.

Looking at the ravenous gazes of those around him, especially Bai Ye's usually reserved glances, the snake woman felt a chill of fear. She finally understood Bai Ye's gaze – he wasn't plotting some grand strategy, but rather judging whether something was delicious!

"Continue onwards!"

"Yes, Lord Ye Ge!"

"Heh heh! Following Lord Ye Ge, we get to eat nine meals a day!"
