What is desired? That goes without saying.
Bai Ye directly reached out his hand towards the snake woman. To his utter surprise, the snake woman instinctively shielded her chest, letting out a startled cry.
A female's instinctual reaction? Bai Ye snatched the two scrolls from his hand. It was fortunate she hadn't placed them back into the deep crevice of her chest, or Bai Ye's action would have truly affirmed her reaction.
Upon opening them, one depicted a young man holding two glaring fireballs, his expression indifferent, similar to the scroll held by Captain Kyle of the dwarf tribe.
On the other, a colossal black hole devoured everything in its path, and behind it, a mysterious silhouette stood suspended in the void, its form indiscernible.
Isn't this me? If others were unclear, Bai Ye, as the person involved, could not fail to understand.
Could it be that I'm truly seeing ghosts?
No... the first scroll was similar to the one the dwarf held, but the art style and details were clearly different. Therefore, this must have originated from a different source, not by the same hand, yet there was a connection!
Boom!!
All of Bai Ye's magic was unleashed, his aura terrifyingly potent, causing the ambient magic essence to stagnate.
Thump, thump, thump! A large crowd of small demonic creatures immediately knelt, their hearts filled with unease. Even the snake woman and her companions found it difficult to resist, their bodies instinctively submitting to a superior being.
Even the dwarves who had gotten up to watch the spectacle from afar changed their expressions. They had never encountered such a terrifying aura before.
As expected of the God of Light! Our savior! Bai Ye's tall and cold figure gradually became majestic in the eyes of the dwarves.
"Where did you get these scrolls? Why do they contain my information?" Bai Ye stared at the snake woman, coldly interrogating her.
"Heh!!!"
Before the snake woman could reply, her companion beside her, blushing, stood up, anger blazing in his eyes. He felt ashamed of his instinctual kneeling just moments ago.
"You can't get any clues from us! We would rather die than tell you anything. Demonic creatures have dignity and honor!"
The man raised his head, his expression indignant. "Among the Seven Holy Kings, three of them are from our demonic race. If you dare to kill..."
Before he could finish, Bai Ye suddenly moved. Terrifying ice power surged forth, instantly freezing the man within a diamond-shaped ice pillar, his expression still fixed in a pose of arrogant defiance.
The scene fell silent, so quiet that the sound of falling leaves could be clearly heard.
The snake woman stared at her companion in astonishment, feeling his life force drain away rapidly, her heart already numb.
The information given by the superiors said he was a Fire Demon King, didn't they? Why was he wielding Ice Power?
"You don't want to talk because there are too many eyes and ears?" Bai Ye's cold voice jolted her.
Before the snake woman could react, Bai Ye waved his hand, and the small demonic creatures behind him were all frozen, turning into ice sculptures in the blink of an eye. Their expressions were terrified, their postures suggesting an attempt to flee.
Bai Ye slightly raised his gaze, sweeping towards the dwarves standing further back.
Captain Kyle's heart trembled slightly at Bai Ye's gaze. This was not the merciful gaze of a deity, but a cold one, tinged with killing intent, like that of Death itself!
Furthermore, the God of Light commanded fire, while this terrifying individual before them seemed to command ice...
Have we mistaken someone? Captain Kyle swallowed with difficulty, his concern for his kin's safety growing.
The pursuing demonic creatures had been instantly annihilated by this figure. What if he decided to attack them now... What would they do?
Sweat beads the size of beans slowly trickled down Captain Kyle's forehead.
"The Lord of Ice, he is our Lord of Ice! I heard the seer mention it, Uncle Kyle!" Suddenly, a young boy behind Kyle leaped forward, pointing at Bai Ye and exclaiming loudly.
"Ah, he is the Lord of Ice? Not our God of Light?"
"Robert, little fellow, you've reminded me. It seems the seer did indeed say something like that."
"This..."
Soft murmurs arose from among the dwarves.
"Never mind, the seer said the Lord of Ice also protects us."
Thus, the group of dwarves all knelt in unison, prostrating themselves before Bai Ye.
"Thank you for coming to our side, Lord of Ice, for protecting our dwarf race from disaster, and for ensuring our stability and prosperity!"
Captain Kyle stared at his kin with a slight daze, unsure of what to do, so he followed suit and bowed, hoping for the best.
The dwarves' actions again bewildered Bai Ye. "Good heavens, another Lord of Ice? Just say it if you've decided I'm him!"
However, sensing their devout gazes, Bai Ye withdrew his killing intent. From their words and actions, Bai Ye guessed that they were likely the native races of this continent, and their hatred for the Tetas continent was far greater than that of humans.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend!
"Can you speak now?" Bai Ye's gaze returned to the trembling snake woman, a glint of killing intent flashing in his eyes.
The implication was clear. If she didn't, she would immediately turn into an ice block.
The snake woman looked at her companion and the small demonic creatures, who had completely lost their lives and become cold corpses. Her small face turned pale.
"That... that information was given by a fortune teller from the elf tribe."
A fortune teller? The dwarves' seer? Bai Ye was secretly astonished, that such people actually existed!
The snake woman lowered her head, her eyes filled with unease. Clearly, the elf fortune teller had given them wrong information; this fellow was not a Fire Demon King at all, but an Ice Demon King...
Or perhaps, they were one and the same? A bold guess arose in the snake woman's mind.
The thought sent a shiver down her spine!
Suddenly sensing Bai Ye's killing intent again, as if he were about to silence her, the snake woman was so startled that scales began to appear on her skin.
"My lord, please don't kill me! I am willing to pledge my allegiance to you and do anything!"
