A little scoundrel

Chapter 392 The Dark Demonic Dragon Totem

The chieftain hesitated slightly, unable to refrain from asking, “Great Elder, do they truly possess invincible supreme beings on Titus World?”

The Great Elder nodded with certainty. “Yes, and more than one! The reason the three great clans stand proudly in Titus World, and why there are only three, is because they all have supreme beings!”

The chieftain’s face contorted in horror. He believed the Great Elder’s words implicitly. The Great Elder had not only been to Titus World but had also participated in the demigod’s sacred artifact forging plan!

Sacred artifacts were the key for the demigod supreme existences to challenge supreme beings.

The chieftain continued, “If that’s the case, why did you, Great Elder, just facilitate the tribal meeting’s decision to pledge allegiance to those foreign world powerhouses?”

The Great Elder smiled mysteriously and said, “If we didn’t do this, how would they believe us?”

“Now, the two Saint Kings in the city, Lord Adolf and Lord Othusten, have surely summoned Lord Margaret and Lord Wu Xin to return. What we need to do now is stall for time. Before Lord Margaret and the others return, we cannot let those people from the other world leave! Therefore, we must gain their trust.”

The chieftain suddenly understood. “The Great Elder is truly the wisest among us dwarves…” The chieftain praised him repeatedly, then suddenly worried, “Hiss~ Great Elder, I, I’m still a little worried. What if, I mean, what if Lord Margaret and the others are also no match for those foreign world powerhouses?”

The chieftain added, “I am not doubting you, but in our current predicament, dwarves, if we choose the wrong side, it will lead to racial extinction.”

The Great Elder smiled and looked out the window, towards the distant, still smoke-shrouded Sky Tower City, that solitary sky tower.

He said, “The passage on the Sky Tower side has been forbidden for a long time, precisely to accumulate energy. Now, it should be able to withstand the arrival of those supreme existences.”

The chieftain was stunned. “You mean…”

To his statement, the Great Elder slowly nodded, revealing a mysterious smile.

Elsewhere, in an unremarkable building.

The room was now covered with dense magical runes, and a tall, handsome figure stood in the center.

“My lord, are you ready?” the old elf asked respectfully.

The Diviner, Geoffrey. He, too, was a little nervous, as this was the first time he was performing this mysterious magic, and it would be the last.

“Ready.” Bai Ye nodded. As the one receiving the ritual, he remained quite composed.

In the corner, the snake woman was somewhat worried. “Master, be careful…” She was secretly on guard. If the Diviner harbored any ill intentions, she would strike immediately. She couldn’t intervene in the Demon King’s battles, but she was confident she could kill this old elf who only possessed A-class strength!

“Then I shall begin.” The Diviner bowed slightly, stepped onto a rune circle, took a deep breath, and then began chanting ancient and mysterious incantations.

A surge of magic power spread from him, flowing into the runes on the ground. The magical rune circles lit up one by one, slowly floating in the air, filling the entire room with a dazzling, multicolored radiance.

The magic was successfully activated, and streams of bizarre magical energy formed rivers that floated in the void, rushing towards Bai Ye in the center.

The snake woman clenched her fists nervously.

Bai Ye glanced at the Diviner, Geoffrey, then raised his hand and looked at his left palm. On his broad palm, a blurry pattern slowly emerged, resembling a dragon totem.

As time passed, the pattern became clearer, while the Diviner’s aura grew weaker, his magic power rapidly dissipating.

After a while longer, the Diviner, Geoffrey, collapsed onto the ground with a thud.

“Suc-successful.”

“As long as you inject your magic power into the totem, my lord, you will be able to transform into the Dark Demon Dragon…” The Diviner uttered his final sentence before losing consciousness. As he fell, the rune circles also vanished one by one.

Bai Ye clenched his fist. The pattern on his left hand had disappeared, but the connection remained. As long as he injected magic power, he could immediately transform into a demon dragon.

“Take him back to Bright City.” Bai Ye took out ten bottles of ‘glucose’ and threw them to the snake woman.

“Yes!” The snake woman carefully took them, looking at Bai Ye a few times. “Master, are you really alright now?”

Bai Ye nodded, then activated his teleportation, taking the snake woman and the Diviner out of the colossal city of Eiles.

Adolf and Augustine in the city suddenly sensed the familiar yet powerful spatial magic fluctuation, instantly becoming alert.

“They really haven’t left!”

“It’s good they haven’t left, Lady Margaret and the others are also preparing to return.”

After escorting them out of the city, Bai Ye rushed to the slums, the living quarters of the dwarf slaves.

“My lord!!”

On a dilapidated bed, the old dwarf Chite was slightly startled to see Bai Ye appear, then immediately got up from the bed to pay homage.

Bai Ye waved his hand casually, and a surge of magic power gently placed him back onto the bed. He asked, “How are the arrangements?”

“Forgive my presumption.” Chite said excitedly again, “The chieftain has made all the arrangements, and is just waiting for you to come!”

Bai Ye nodded slightly. “Mm! Take me to see.”

“Okay, okay.” Chite signaled to the dwarf boy beside him. “Go and call Qiqike.”

“Okay, Grandpa Chite.”

Soon, Qiqike was summoned and led Bai Ye to the chieftain’s residence.
