Chapter 1652 Marry Me

The private room was curtained, and a candle burned in the candelabra on the table. Three gorgeously blooming roses were arranged in a crystal vase. Water had been sprayed onto the rose petals, and under the candlelight, the water droplets refracted starlight, appearing exceptionally brilliant and beautiful.

"What day is it today?" Lan Shu frowned, trying to recall, but couldn't remember what day it was.

Qing Sihuai raised his hand and gently flicked her forehead with his fingers. He chided playfully, "It's the day we first met. How could you forget?" He shook his head, his sexy, mature face filled with doting yet helpless expression.

The so-called 'day we met' was merely an excuse.

Qing Sihuai was certain that Lan Shu had amnesia and couldn't remember what day it was, but he simply wanted to create the romantic atmosphere he desired.

"Really?" Lan Shu's eyes lit up. "I'm sorry, I really can't remember."

"Silly girl." Qing Sihuai placed his hands on Lan Shu's shoulders and pushed her to sit on the booth seat. "Come, cut the cake. I made this cake myself this morning."

Sweet words poured out like a flood, accompanied by his mature, handsome face that could make one dizzy.

However, Lan Shu was no longer the same Lan Shu as before. How could she believe his words?

"Okay."

Lan Shu nodded and picked up the cake knife. Just as she was about to cut the cake, Qing Sihuai stood behind her, placing his left hand on her shoulder and his right hand holding her right hand from behind, guiding her to cut the cake together.

Qing Sihuai's cheek drew close to Lan Shu's face. Their posture was extremely intimate. As they were cutting the cake, Qing Sihuai suddenly turned his face and kissed her cheek. "Yaoyao, I love you."

The words made Lan Shu's hand tremble.

That's right.

It was purely disgusting.

Heaven knew how much effort Lan Shu had to exert to restrain her left hand and force herself not to wipe the cheek he had kissed.

"Why won't it cut?"

As the cake knife cut down, a hard object prevented it from moving.

Lan Shu asked verbally, but inwardly she scoffed at his clumsy and childish act.

It was the cliché of hiding a gift inside the cake again.

"Guess," Qing Sihuai asked her.

Lan Shu shook her head. "How would I know? You made the cake. Did you forget to put the cake-making tools inside?"

"Hahaha, you are truly innocent."

Qing Sihuai laughed heartily, enjoying her 'stupid as an idiot' appearance.

He held Lan Shu's hand and slowly separated the cake. Inside was a square box wrapped in packaging.

"What's this?" Lan Shu covered her mouth, feigning surprise as she picked up the box. She opened the outer layer of wrapping paper and held the square, sapphire-blue velvet box. Gently opening it, a diamond the size of a little finger was revealed.

The diamond's faceted cut sparkled brilliantly under the pearl light, exceptionally dazzling and beautiful.

"Is this...?" she looked at Qing Sihuai with 'innocence'.

Qing Sihuai picked up the diamond ring from the box and knelt on one knee. "Yaoyao, will you marry me again? I want to give you a grand wedding to make up for past regrets."

Although Lan Shu was still close to Meng Jingwei and Qing Muye, the Lan Shu of the past was a love-struck fool. Qing Sihuai, confident in his charm, believed he could win Lan Shu over.

Even if there were ten or a hundred Meng Jingweis around her, they wouldn't stop him from wanting to 'capture' the woman he desired.

Lan Shu paused, unsure of Qing Sihuai's latest scheme, but she slowly extended her slender, fair hand, allowing him to place the diamond ring on her ring finger.

"Can we get married in the next few days? Let Muye be our witness." Suddenly, he frowned. "Speaking of Muye, how is he now?"
