Chapter 880 Li Yun'er's Disappearance

"Hey, Qing Muye, don't mess around. It's getting late. In less than an hour, it'll be time for dinner."

"Listening to my A'wei, an hour isn't enough for you. So, it seems I'm incompetent."

"No, no, I didn't mean that. You... mmph..."

Qing Muye didn't give her a chance to finish before sealing her lips with a kiss.

An hour later, someone knocked on the door.

Knock, knock, knock—

"Miss, it's time to get up for your meal."

The person who came upstairs to call her for dinner was a domestic helper, but the cook had been replaced with a new one.

Meng Jingwei's small face flushed, and she quickly raised her hand to her lips, making a "shush" gesture, signaling Qing Muye to stay still.

The man naturally cooperated.

"Okay, okay. I'll be down right away." Meng Jingwei shouted back.

There was no sound from outside; the helper had already left and gone downstairs.

Meng Jingwei pleaded, "It's time to eat."

"No rush."

"Old Chen Tou and Ming Jin are both here. If they don't see us go down, they'll know what we were doing. Isn't that awkward?"

"Put away your worries. They won't be back this morning."

"Won't be back? What happened?" Meng Jingwei asked worriedly.

As she asked, a faint anger flickered across Qing Muye's stern face, his eyelids drooping slightly. "Meng Jingwei, do you want to die in bed?"

"Ah? No, I was just... Hey, hey... A Ye, no, husband, don't too much..."

And so, another hour passed.

Only then did Qing Muye let her go.

After they washed up, they left the room one after another. However, Qing Muye returned upstairs and did not go downstairs, which could be considered showing consideration for Meng Jingwei's dignity.

Meng Jingwei, supporting her sore and weak legs, walked downstairs to have her meal.

As expected, in the spacious living room, apart from the helpers and the new cook, Old Chen Tou and He Xiao Ming Jin were nowhere to be seen.

Of course, Daisy Tina was also absent.

"Aunt Tao, where are they? Have they eaten already?" Meng Jingwei asked the helper as she sat at the dining table.

Aunt Tao shook her head. "I don't know. Mr. Bei, Young Master Ming Jin, Miss Daisy Tina, and Tie Zhu Zi are all out today. However, Xiao Kun said they won't be back today. He said Mr. Bei told him yesterday."

Xiao Kun was the cook, a young man not much older.

"Oh, okay."

Meng Jingwei didn't ask further and continued to eat, though she felt uneasy.

Han Junyan was also feeling equally anxious.

After a good night's sleep and a normal breakfast, a subordinate came to tell him that Li Yun'er was missing.

Han Junyan was greatly surprised and immediately sent people to search and check the surveillance footage.

However, the surveillance had been tampered with the previous day, and nothing was captured.

The person had vanished, as if evaporated from thin air.

He sent people out to search and then immediately left the residence, heading to Anthony's home.

Having accidentally discovered Qing Muye's true identity yesterday, Han Junyan had been hesitant about whether to tell Anthony, but after much deliberation, he decided to keep it a secret.

Now that Li Yun'er was missing, Anthony was bound to hold him accountable.

Revealing Qing Muye's identity now would allow him to shift all blame onto Qing Muye.

Han Junyan had no time for breakfast and drove directly. Thirty minutes later, he arrived at Anthony's courtyard.

Upon entering the courtyard, he noticed the increased security and that the guards all appeared to be top-tier experts.

Presumably, Anthony felt uneasy, having been unable to find the culprit who harmed him, which led him to strengthen his defenses.

He went to the living room but did not see Anthony.

A helper said he was still in his room, receiving an IV drip and recuperating.

He walked to the bedroom door and knocked. "Anthony, it's me, Han Junyan."
