Qing Muye emerged from the secret chamber and left Yipin Ju. Just as he was about to get into his car, someone called out to him.
"Qing Muye?"
He turned at the sound and saw Xiao Cheng walking towards him from a distance.
"What is it?" he asked coldly.
Xiao Cheng’s face was grim. He looked up and threw a punch at Qing Muye, "Are you fucking incapable of taking care of Xiao Weiwei properly?"
However, his punch did not land on Qing Muye; it was caught by him with his bare hand.
"You are not the only one who worries about Awei. I worry too. But I am human, not a god. Some things are beyond expectation and difficult for me to guard against."
Qing Muye flung Xiao Cheng's hand away. "I don't want to have a pointless argument with you here."
He pulled open the driver's side door and got in.
Just as he started the engine, Xiao Cheng pulled open the passenger door and got in.
Qing Muye turned his head slightly, his eyes holding a hint of surprise.
Xiao Cheng looked straight ahead, calmly fastening his seatbelt, and said disdainfully, "Don't think I've forgiven you. I'm just worried about Xiao Weiwei and don't want to see him hurt."
He spoke his mind directly.
Upon learning of Meng Jingwei's disappearance, Xiao Cheng rushed to Yipin Ju to demand an explanation.
Coincidentally, he encountered Qing Muye, who was leaving Yipin Ju, at the entrance.
With Meng Jingwei on his mind, Xiao Cheng decided to temporarily cooperate with Qing Muye to rescue her.
The car started and slowly drove off.
Qing Muye’s pursed lips parted slightly. "Thank you."
The phrase "thank you" was difficult for Qing Muye to utter, but because of Meng Jingwei, he owed Xiao Cheng a great deal.
"Feigning sincerity."
Xiao Cheng scoffed and immediately got to the point, "What exactly happened to Meng Jingwei's disappearance?"
"It should be Old Chen Tou's doing. The Hidden Tribe has a secret art that can seal memories. Old Chen Tou felt I had delayed Meng Jingwei, causing her to lose interest in staying in the Hidden Tribe. He first intended to eliminate me, but the plan failed. Now he has kidnapped Awei, likely to seal her memories so she can remain in the Hidden Tribe as its leader."
The situation was too straightforward; Qing Muye didn't need to think hard to know that Old Chen Tou was behind it.
"How despicable!"
Xiao Cheng cursed, "Where do we go to find her now?"
"One person knows."
"Who?"
"He Ka Yan Yi."
Qing Muye stated with certainty.
Xiao Cheng seemed puzzled, "How can you be so sure that he definitely knows where Xiao Weiwei is?"
"Before the Hunting Gala, Old Chen Tou kidnapped Li Yun'er, also intending to seal her memories, but Li Yun'er was rescued by He Ka Yan Yi midway."
When this happened, Qing Muye and Meng Jingwei had waited for Old Chen Tou all day at Yishan Yuan. He only returned in the evening.
At the time, they thought the memory sealing had been completed. It wasn't until Meng Jingwei encountered Li Yun'er, and then He Ka Yan Yi, on the mountain during the Hunting Gala that she realized Li Yun'er's memory had not been sealed, and the one who rescued her was He Ka Yan Yi.
"Even if He Ka Yan Yi knows the location, how will you convince him to willingly help you?"
Xiao Cheng's question was crucial.
Qing Muye looked ahead, driving seriously, his mind racing as he carefully considered and deliberated.
Seeing his silence, Xiao Cheng continued, "As far as I know, He Ka Yan Yi has secretly conspired with Anthony. Their objective is to eliminate you and Xiao Weiwei."
He then shook his head, a mocking smile pulling at his lips, making the scar on his face appear even more distinct. "You make enemies everywhere. I really don't understand how Xiao Weiwei fell for you."
