Chapter 71 Jin Zong Teases His Own Wife

Su Ding opened her sleepy eyes and looked hazily at Jin Ye before her.

His wet eyes held tears, revealing a full measure of clarity and innocence. His delicate and beautiful face was exceptionally captivating in the deep night.

Jin Ye’s breath caught. He said gently, “We’ve reached the city. You can rest for a little longer, I’ll take you home.”

Su Ding rubbed her eyes and stretched slightly. She shifted her sleeping daughter to her other arm, held her securely, and smiled at Jin Ye, saying, “Thank you for your trouble.”

Jin Ye didn’t speak, his lips curling upwards, his fatigue from driving vanishing, and he drove with a pleasant mood.

He had already informed the police officers when they got into the car. If any information was needed, he would bring Su Ding to the police station tomorrow to cooperate with the investigation. For tonight, they should go back and rest first.

Less than half an hour later, they finally arrived at Su Ding’s apartment.

After the car stopped, Su Ding handed her sleeping daughter, Xiao Rui, to Jin Ye, who reached out to take her outside the car, while she bent over to get out.

Her feet felt a little weak as they touched the ground.

Looking at the familiar apartment building and breathing in the cool night air, her sleepiness had completely disappeared.

She walked alongside Jin Ye, who was carrying Xiao Rui, and they went upstairs together.

As they entered the elevator, Su Ding pressed the floor button. Her peripheral vision suddenly caught her daughter in Jin Ye’s arms, who seemed to have quietly narrowed her eyes.

She found it a little strange, and glanced again, only to see her daughter, lying in Jin Ye’s arms, unconsciously pouting her small lips.

She looked exceptionally happy.

Su Ding walked to Jin Ye’s side and, feigning casualness, said, “It’s too late. You should stay and rest tonight.”

Jin Ye, of course, wouldn’t refuse. “Okay.”

Just then, Su Ding’s peripheral vision glanced at her daughter again. Su Xiao Rui had pouted again.

As expected, she was faking sleep!

She shook her head helplessly, not bothering to expose Su Xiao Rui, and led Jin Ye back to her apartment.

Turning on the living room light, she quickly guided Jin Ye to carry Xiao Rui to the bedroom, saying, “Thank you for your hard work.”

After setting Xiao Rui down, Jin Ye turned around. His tall figure was particularly upright against the backlight. Su Ding, facing him, felt a sense of nervousness.

“Are you hungry? I’ll make you something to eat.” Su Ding’s cheeks flushed slightly, her voice trembling with shyness.

Jin Ye saw Su Ding’s nervousness and shyness, his lips curved upwards, his voice deep and alluring, “Okay, wife.”

“You, don’t call me that,” Su Ding felt even more uneasy under his gaze and turned to go to the living room.

Unexpectedly, her waist was directly embraced by the man, and she was pulled into his arms.

The man’s broad and warm embrace was very reassuring. She was genuinely infatuated, yet she didn’t want to be too lost in it.

Her heart pounded intensely. Her hands clutched Jin Ye’s arm. She had intended to push him away, but when her fingers touched his firm muscles, all her strength seemed to disappear.

She pushed Jin Ye softly, more like caressing him.

Jin Ye held her shoulders, turned her around, leaned down slightly, and gently brushed his forehead against hers, kissing her eyelashes. “If I call you wife, shouldn’t I?”

Su Ding was so nervous she couldn’t speak. Should she? Shouldn’t she?

Her head felt fuzzy. She only felt the incredible heat in her cheeks, her heart thumping, and her skin unbearably sensitive.

Her shoulders held by the man, his gentle and magnetic voice, that faint, cool fragrance, and his irresistible charm all over…

She stared blankly at Jin Ye, having no idea what she was thinking. Her mind was a mess, let alone noticing Su Xiao Rui on the bed, who was quietly peeking at them with narrowed eyes.

When Jin Ye’s kiss landed on her forehead, she was completely stunned.

His lips were cool and soft, filled with tenderness and love, enveloping her. She reacted half a minute later, blinking her eyes, wanting to retreat.

Jin Ye directly hugged her waist, pulling her even tighter into his embrace, and lowered his body. “Don’t run. You are my wife now.”

Su Ding was so shy she didn’t dare to look directly at Jin Ye. She pushed him away, “Um, that, I’ll go make dinner.”

Saying that, she fled in embarrassment.

Jin Ye watched her retreating back, a slight smile playing on his lips, his eyes filled with tenderness and love. He then followed her out.

No one noticed that Su Xiao Rui, who was “sleeping” on the bed, excitedly opened her eyes…

She actually had a dad now.

So happy!

Does that mean there will be little brothers and sisters in the family soon?

Looking forward to it!
