Chapter 282: Chapter 262 Everything on the Ground is Mine_1

Chui Chui’s plan involved establishing an electromagnetic field. An electromagnetic field, centered on the electrical energy generated by Yan Xing’s Magic Power, would radiate outward. Then, using the deployed magic array, Chui Chui could calculate and recreate the voltage at any point within this field. Once the voltage became high enough, it could generate a magnetic storm. The principle was derived from Tesla’s design of the ’magnetic storm coil.’

In theory, as long as Yan Xing deployed the electromagnetic field, all electrical Magic within its range could achieve guaranteed hits. Electric currents moving at the speed of light would make it impossible for the target to evade. The theory was very advanced, but implementing it was extremely difficult. Yan Xing’s Magic Power couldn’t yet generate a very large electromagnetic field, nor could the field distinguish between friend and foe. In the simulated magnetic storm coil experiments, any object entering the electromagnetic field could be subjected to an electrical attack. To achieve a controllable and independently deployable electromagnetic field, many magical problems still needed to be solved.

However, Chui Chui did devise a temporary alternative plan. This involved using an external force to establish the electromagnetic field. Chui Chui could then use electronic equipment to adjust all current values within the field. Combined with the electrical energy from Yan Xing’s Magic Power, they could achieve controllable voltage generation.

Thus, the current scene unfolded.

The electricity for the electromagnetic field was drawn from the consulate. Through transformers and drones laying out a net, a hemispherical electric grid was constructed, enveloping the battlefield. If it had been daytime, such an extensive electric grid would certainly have been clearly visible. But it was night at the moment. Even though the moonlight was bright, those fixated on the Gold hadn’t noticed the fine, intertwining electric wires in the sky.

Without spell chanting or casting gestures, and without him even moving, the air-elemental electrical Magic was released out of thin air. Like a fleeting lightning bolt in a stormy season, those struck died instantly.

He likely died without knowing what happened to him, or how.

How could one defend against such Magic?

Probably only by relying on defense magic against air-based attacks and enduring it with one’s own body.

After two bolts of lightning established his dominance, everyone instinctively took two steps back, distancing themselves from the extremely dangerous Terence.

Yan Xing glanced at the passing City Defense Force patrol. They had already moved far away and hadn’t stopped despite the recent flashes of lightning.

That meant he could be a bit bolder.

A series of CRACKLES emanated from beneath the Leader Mage’s feet. He immediately looked down to find a cluster of hopping electric sparks surrounding him. Each spark jumped to different heights, emitting sounds at varying pitches. Together, the sounds from these sparks composed a piece of music. It was as if a background track had been added to the scene. It had a surprisingly captivating rhythm.

But for everyone who saw these hopping electric sparks and heard the music, their fear of this First Thief intensified.

How terrifyingly profound must his power be, to control Magic Power with such finesse?

One could only imagine that if he wished, these seemingly mischievous sparks could instantly transform into devouring lightning.

The lives of everyone present hung on his every whim.

Yan Xing remained silent, standing tall. The silence itself accumulated an invisible pressure, building layer by layer.

Ultimately, the Leader Mage who had come to seize the Gold could no longer bear the pressure. He removed his stone armor, dispelled his sand construct, and bowed to Yan Xing.

"Respected Sir Terence, please forgive our offense. We will leave now. Thank you for allowing us to witness such miraculous Magic; your strength is a height we cannot even fathom, let alone reach. Goodbye. We hope for a more amicable meeting next time."

Yan Xing waved his hand, permitting them to leave.

The Leader Mage stepped out from the encircling electric sparks, bowing to Yan Xing once more. The five survivors, led by the Leader Mage, slowly retreated, then turned and quickly vanished into the darkness.

Now, only Wei Bulun and his subordinates remained, along with Yan Xing and the Gold.

Seeing that the robbers had left, Wei Bulun immediately bowed to Yan Xing. "I am extremely grateful that you, Sir Terence, came to our aid..." he said, expressing his gratitude. He then ordered his subordinates to gather the Gold Coins on the ground. "My men will collect all the Gold that has fallen. It belongs to you now..."

All Wei Bulun wanted now was to leave this place as quickly as possible, move the remaining Gold to safety, and then inform the Orcs about Shortgun’s betrayal.

Wei Bulun’s men worked rapidly, collecting the Gold, repairing the wagon, while the surviving guards went to replenish the Magic Power of the silence barrier.

Just then...

CLATTER!

A box full of Gold Coins fell from the wagon. It shattered on impact, and all the coins spilled out.

Wei Bulun saw it happen. He realized the thief, Terence, had kicked the box off the wagon.

He also immediately understood the thief’s intention.

"Quick, quick! Move all these Gold Coins that have fallen on the ground over there! These all belong to Sir Terence!"

Wei Bulun assumed Terence must have considered the payment too low, which was why he’d deliberately kicked off a box.

This wasn’t the time to argue with Terence about payment. Leaving quickly was paramount.

But then...

CLATTER!

Another box full of Gold Coins was kicked down.

Seeing the newly spilled Gold Coins, Wei Bulun, without further argument, continued to instruct his men to move them.

Yet, Yan Xing kicked down another box.
