He began to chant the laws, drawing a circle in the void with his hand. A faint tremor rippled through the air, as if a mirror had appeared, or perhaps a ripple of water.
Within the watery expanse, four figures emerged: Ju Ren, Zhang Sheng, and two others.
Fearing a surprise attack, they had landed and were proceeding on foot, their eyes scanning their surroundings with caution as they moved slowly forward.
A jolt of excitement coursed through him. This was truly miraculous!
Even more astonishing, it seemed he could also attack.
He flicked a finger towards Ju Ren's shoulder in the mirror image. With a soft hiss, Ju Ren frowned slightly and touched his shoulder, likely feeling a slight sting. He probably thought a mosquito had bitten him.
It appeared his cultivation was still insufficient, and he needed to intensify his practice to truly achieve the goal of striking down enemies from afar.
If he mastered this technique, wouldn't he be invincible?
Mo Qi's entire being was in turmoil.
Although much of the law had been wasted, what he had finally obtained was more than enough.
He named this divine ability "Qiankun Mirror"!
He knew that mastering a divine ability was not a task for a single day, nor was it something to be rushed. He would take his time.
With a casual swipe of his hand, the mirror vanished without a trace.
First, he needed to absorb the spiritual energy from these fragments.
He began to examine each fragment one by one.
Once the spiritual power was completely absorbed, these items would become mere refuse.
Then he could toss them to Liang Sanjin and the others.
Moments later, just as he finished absorbing the spiritual energy from two smaller fragments, Ju Ren, Zhang Sheng, Lian Xun, and Hu Yanming arrived. They reached the edge of the cliff, assuming Mo Qi had already descended, and without hesitation, they leaped down.
Linghu Xiaoxian was also preparing to jump when a figure shot out from the side, grabbing her arm.
She looked closely and saw it was none other than Mo Qi.
Enraged, she kicked him with all her might. With a bang, she struck Mo Qi, sending him sprawling to the ground, unable to get up for a long time.
Linghu Xiaoxian was stunned. "Why didn't you dodge?"
Mo Qi struggled to his feet, his expression solemn. "If I had dodged, you wouldn't have been appeased. As long as you are happy, even suffering a little is worth it."
"Smooth talker!" Linghu Xiaoxian, after a long pause, managed to utter four words.
Yet, she couldn't suppress the smile that bloomed on her face.
Mo Qi pulled her behind a large rock again.
"Let go!" Linghu Xiaoxian whispered, yet she followed Mo Qi, walking with him until they reached the rock.
Mo Qi broke off a large chunk of the Nine Heavens Jade Dew ice and offered it to Linghu Xiaoxian.
"What is this?" Linghu Xiaoxian asked, a hint of hesitation in her voice.
"It's Nine Heavens Jade Dew. I've turned it into ice for easier carrying. This item is safe and non-toxic, melting instantly upon contact, with a refreshing taste, abundant spiritual energy, and suitable for all ages. It's an essential resource for strengthening the body, prolonging life, and enhancing cultivation," Mo Qi explained.
Linghu Xiaoxian had, of course, heard of the Nine Heavens Jade Dew and knew its effects. She took the ice and began to nibble on it, making a crunching sound.
Mo Qi's lips twitched. "Mind your manners!"
Linghu Xiaoxian stomped on his foot and chided, "Turn your face away, don't look at me."
Mo Qi bared his teeth and took out the larger fragment of the Heaven and Earth Law scroll, handing it to her. "This is for you too."
It still retained some spiritual energy!
But even the residual energy was enough for her to advance a level in her cultivation.
Linghu Xiaoxian noticed the fragment had become smaller and looked at him with some confusion. "How did it become like this?"
"Oh, I used a piece just now. I saved this one for you," Mo Qi replied.
Linghu Xiaoxian gave him a skeptical glance, clearly not believing he had saved it for her.
Mo Qi smiled, a rather guilty smile.
After she finished the ice, she placed the fragment in her palm. She immediately felt the surge of immense spiritual power and sat down cross-legged, beginning to circulate her energy.
With Mo Qi by her side, she felt very secure.
Mo Qi still had a large piece of Nine Heavens Jade Dew, but he dared not consume it further.
If he continued to enhance his cultivation, he might face tribulation. Heavenly lightning would descend, and if it blew up this place, no one would be able to escape.
He stood there, silently guarding Linghu Xiaoxian.
At this moment, Liang Sanjin, having finished his recovery, approached with a murderous aura.
The divine light and the sounds of wind and thunder emanating from Linghu Xiaoxian's cultivation attracted him, and he headed towards the rock.
By now, Linghu Xiaoxian had absorbed all the spiritual energy from the fragment.
Mo Qi stepped forward, picked up the fragment, and quickly moved to intercept. Even from a distance, he greeted Liang Sanjin with a smile. "Sect Master Liang, don't be in a hurry. I've saved a piece for you."
As he spoke, he tossed the fragment over.
Liang Sanjin caught the fragment and looked at him with suspicion. "Would you be this kind?"
Mo Qi spread his hands. "A wise man knows when to adapt. I know I can't defeat you, and I wouldn't be able to enjoy this even if I had it. My life is more important."
"Hmm," Liang Sanjin nodded in satisfaction. "It would have been better if you had thought this way earlier."
Then, with a cold expression, he pressed his advantage. "There should be another part, right?"
The remaining part was also scrap, but giving it all to him at once might arouse his suspicion. Moreover, he needed to save some to appease those four individuals.
But his thoughts were too idealistic!
As Liang Sanjin held the fragment, he sensed something was wrong.
He had touched this fragment before!
The first time he touched it, it felt alive. This time, it was like a corpse.
He unleashed his spiritual power to investigate and realized he had been tricked. He threw the fragment to the ground and roared, "You're seeking death!"
As he spoke, he summoned the Xuan Yue Mirror, which emitted a white glow and shot towards Mo Qi.
The Xuan Yue Mirror spun in the air, causing the entire space to vibrate with a howling sound, like the growl of a wild beast.
Colored light followed the rotation of the mirror, forming spiral ribbons, like a giant dragon emerging from the sea, lunging at Mo Qi with bared teeth and claws.
Mo Qi hastily summoned the Qiankun Ring, which emitted a blinding light, meeting the dragon-like white light.
The Qiankun Ring expanded rapidly in the wind, its edges igniting with crimson flames as it moved through the air, causing the surrounding space to heat up.
As the light of the Qiankun Ring touched the pure white light, it immediately felt as if a slit had been pierced through it. The light in the center contracted rapidly, while the edges scattered and gradually dissipated.
The spiral light, like a dragon with bared teeth and claws, opened its cavernous maw, revealing its fangs, and lunged at Mo Qi.
The accompanying cries were like the roars of a dragon, shaking the heavens and earth.
Judging by its momentum, Mo Qi was helpless, seemingly frozen in place!
Liang Sanjin's face contorted, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
"You deserve to die. Killing you a hundred times over wouldn't quench my hatred. Killing you like this is too lenient."
"Who did you have to provoke? Why me? You don't even know your own limits."
"Among the younger generation of the Sun Moon Sect, no one dares to disrespect me, no one dares to steal my spotlight. Like that Tan Zai Huan, I crippled his arm, and he could only swallow his pride. But you, you actually took a chicken feather as a command token, forcing me to step down from my position... Do you really think your broken token is worth anything?"
"You had your fun, didn't you? You got carried away, didn't you?"
As he spoke, the white light suddenly dispersed, engulfing Mo Qi.
It seemed all was lost.
Mo Qi was moments away from being shattered into pieces.
However, strangely, Mo Qi remained unfazed, calm and composed.
This left Liang Sanjin somewhat bewildered.
Was he playing some trick?
Or had he been scared stiff?
What did it matter to him? He was going to die anyway. Dying with a smile or dying in tears made no difference.
So, he pointed his finger, more fiercely urging the Xuan Yue Mirror, its light suddenly surging, the howling sound becoming a deafening roar, like ten thousand beasts stampeding.
Mo Qi, however, did not panic. He unfurled the Tongtian Nianli Jue. Just as the white light was about to touch his body, it suddenly split in the middle, dividing into two streams that flowed past his sides.
From Liang Sanjin's perspective, it was like seeing a towering tree standing firm amidst a raging storm.
What was happening?
Liang Sanjin was stunned. Was this a barrier technique?
Perhaps it was just a bluff. With a little more effort, he would be swallowed.
So, he began to roar, channeling all his magical power, and struck with all his might.
The Xuan Yue Mirror whistled forward, radiating light, and moved to cut towards Mo Qi.
No matter how strong your barrier technique, it would be cut open.
Then, I will first cut open your barrier, and then cut open you!
However, to his astonishment, the light emanating from the Xuan Yue Mirror seemed to encounter no resistance, yet at a certain point, it flowed away like water.
The Xuan Yue Mirror itself, as it cut forward, also slid away through a certain space, finally circling Mo Qi's body with a whining sound.
It was like a mosquito outside a mosquito net, wanting to get in but unable to.
Mo Qi stood motionless in the center, his face beaming.
It seemed as if he wasn't exerting any effort at all.
And in his eyes, there seemed to be a hint of provocation.
Liang Sanjin's worldview had been completely overturned.
