"You bandit, why did you steal my magical artifact?" Lian Xin was furious.
Mo Qi chuckled, "Who stole from whom? This thing was mine originally. If you insist on saying 'stolen,' then you stole it from me."
"Your thing? Shameless! You can say such a thing with such conviction," Lian Xin rebuked.
"Then have you ever considered why it would voluntarily enter my body?" Mo Qi said nonchalantly.
Lian Xin was stunned!
Yes, what was going on?
Why would the Sky Bow automatically burrow into his body?
And after burrowing in, why wasn't he dead? He was alive and kicking!
At this moment, Cui Mao, who was being forced back by Xin'er's Qiankun Circle attack, saw the situation here and fell into contemplation.
He glanced over occasionally, gradually seeing Mo Qi's face clearly. That slightly immature face awakened a long-dormant memory in his heart.
Many years ago, he went to the Southern Continent and painstakingly snatched the Earth Arrow from someone. As a result, he was intercepted by the Heavenly Realm goddess Long Ji. During the fight, the Earth Arrow was shot into a child's body.
At that time, he thought the child was doomed. He never expected him to still be alive so strongly, and even become so powerful.
He was initially skeptical, thinking he might have misidentified the person.
But after the Sky Bow entered his body, not only was he unharmed, but he had become even stronger. Didn't this further prove his speculation?
He was that child from back then!
Cui Mao's eyes darted around for a moment, and then a bold idea struck him. A sinister smile appeared on his face.
Just then, Xin'er attacked him with the Qiankun Circle. He didn't retaliate. He dodged and weaved, escaping from the side. After a few more evasions, he suddenly appeared near Mo Qi.
Mo Qi was confronting Lian Xin and hadn't noticed his presence at all. By the time he realized a formidable enemy was approaching, it was too late.
Cui Mao suddenly threw out a net-like magical artifact, ensnaring Mo Qi. No matter how he struggled, it was useless.
The net was attached to a rope. Cui Mao, holding the rope, laughed and sped away into the distance.
"Little sister, save me! Xin'er, save me! Han'er, save me!" Mo Qi cried out in a jumble.
Xin'er naturally saw his plight and, before he could even shout, gave chase.
Shi Siyao and Shui Han, upon hearing his cries, immediately abandoned the Demon King and took off in pursuit.
The Demon King, who was running with great vigor, turned back to find no one chasing her and felt a sense of boredom.
Her two eyeballs quickly rejoined and then turned towards the direction where the others had gone. "Someone's being killed! Someone's being killed! Hurry and save him!"
Lian Xin, after being stunned for a moment, headed in the opposite direction.
The fastest runner here, however, disdained to pursue.
Bing Gou had been following the Demon King. Seeing that no one else was chasing her, he sped up, closing in on the Demon King, attempting to attack her.
The Demon King, however, seemed completely oblivious to him, only intent on chasing after the people ahead.
Bing Gou saw that the target was within his attack range and was overjoyed. He pointed his finger, and a black thread shot out, unexpectedly striking one of the eyeballs.
He never expected it to be so easy!
Bing Gou found it rather uninteresting. With such a lack of challenge, it meant the Demon King had little value for him!
He felt a bit disappointed, but since he had already made his move, he couldn't stop halfway.
He prepared to retract the black thread. He had already cast his spell; even if he withdrew the thread, he could still completely control the Demon King.
However, at this very moment, streams of black energy began to surge out from his body, continuously flowing into those two eyeballs.
Those two eyeballs actually began to swell, and more accurately, other parts of the body gradually grew. Soon, the contours of her face began to appear, resembling a little girl.
More accurately, it was the appearance of a child, which seemed to match her voice.
Bing Gou's body trembled and convulsed, enduring extremely painful torment.
As streams of black energy flowed out, his body rapidly shriveled, like a dried fruit that had lost its moisture, becoming shriveled and curled up.
A moment later, a dark mass fell to the ground, shattering into pieces. A gust of wind blew, turning it into ashes and scattering it.
Bing Gou had vanished!
The Demon King let out a cackling laugh and continued to chase after Shui Han and the others.
Cui Mao, dragging Mo Qi, ran at full speed into a misty area. He turned left and right, entering a stone house.
Shui Han, Xin'er, and Shi Siyao pursued one after another, only to see a vast expanse of white. The further they walked, the denser the mist became.
There was nothing but mist.
A hint of anxiety flickered across Shui Han's indifferent face.
Shi Siyao was almost on the verge of tears.
Only Xin'er appeared calm, as if it had nothing to do with her. It was understandable, as she was only ten years old! A child would only be sad if their candy was stolen.
"What do you think that villain did with Brother Mo after capturing him? Did he eat him?" Shi Siyao said with a sobbing voice.
Shui Han cast a disgusted glance at her and, without a word, quickened his pace and walked straight ahead.
Xin'er looked at Shi Siyao and said, "No, Cui Mao is only interested in magical artifacts. He probably had his sights on the artifacts Mo Qi carried."
Shi Siyao felt slightly relieved upon hearing this but was still uneasy. "That's not right. The Qiankun Circle is in your hands. Why didn't he try to snatch it?"
Xin'er raised her eyebrows. "He might have wanted to, but he couldn't get it. He's also a very rational person. He knows how to weigh the pros and cons. He's well aware that trying to snatch it from me would likely result in him not getting the artifact and losing his life. So, he turned to pick on the weaker ones."
"You little brat, you're quite arrogant. Are you implying my brother is weaker than you?" Shi Siyao glared at Xin'er defiantly.
"Where am I being arrogant? That's just how it is," Xin'er retorted without backing down.
"You two, stop arguing and hurry up and find him." Shui Han, after circling around, had actually returned to the starting point. Seeing the two of them arguing, he immediately intervened.
The two of them glared at each other, then continued to walk forward.
At this moment, Mo Qi was very, very close to them. However, because the stone house was protected by a formation, the three of them couldn't find his location.
Cui Mao placed Mo Qi on the ground but still kept him covered by his Four Seas Peaceful Net to prevent him from escaping.
Mo Qi couldn't move within the net. The more he struggled, the tighter it became, and it continuously drained his spiritual energy, making him feel utterly powerless.
Mo Qi eventually stopped struggling, resigning himself to his fate!
At this moment, he could only hope that the three of them would find him and rescue him.
He had many questions in his mind!
Who was this person, and why had he captured him?
Could it be that he had some peculiar fetish?
Recalling certain consequences, a chill ran down his spine.
At this moment, Cui Mao lowered his head, bent his waist, and brought his face closer, a sinister smile on his lips. "Little friend, do you really not remember me?"
Mo Qi looked up and carefully examined him for a while. The more he looked, the more unfamiliar he became, and the more confused he grew. "Have we met before?"
