The person was short and ugly, and Dai Mei disdained to even look at him. Such a repulsive appearance, not only did he not hide, but he even had the nerve to roam around. It seemed she really needed to teach him a lesson, to prevent him from scaring people in the future.
A sinister smile flickered on Liu Liu's lips. A suppressed and contained killing aura emanated from his body, and a faint red light flashed in his dark pupils, as alluring as bloodshot eyes. His blue robe billowed in the wind, making him appear terrifyingly demonic.
The pirates watching the scene were stunned. They couldn't help but look up at their leader. The pirate captain realized this blue-robed youth was not someone to be trifled with. But how could a dignified pirate captain be afraid of a mere youngster? If word got out, he wouldn't be able to make a living on the Chu River anymore.
Therefore, the pirate captain calmed his mind, pointed at Liu Liu, and sneered.
"What kind of effeminate fellow are you?"
Duan Mu, standing beside Liu Liu, could not tolerate his楼主 being insulted. He quickly retorted angrily, "You blind pirate! This is the楼主 of our Seven Star Tower, Qi Ye. Open your eyes and take a good look, lest you don't even know how you died."
Upon hearing Duan Mu's words, the pirate captain was taken aback, for he knew of this Qi Ye. This person was both righteous and evil. It was rumored that at the martial arts competition, he had poisoned the entire banquet, showing no regard for others.
However, he hadn't expected Qi Ye to be such a strikingly beautiful youth. He realized then that this Carefree Island truly belonged to Qi Ye, and the pirate captain felt a pang of disappointment. Pirates spent their lives at sea, with no fixed abode, and had long coveted Carefree Island.
Yet, they could never find the entrance. To their dismay, they later discovered it had been occupied by these people, which infuriated him and led him to pick fights here every day.
He had unintentionally discovered a beautiful woman on the island, which sparked a chain of thoughts in his mind. Recently, he hadn't been raiding ships on the river, occupied only with pleasant fantasies.
But now, to admit fear of such a brat, a pirate captain like himself could not possibly swallow this insult.
The pirate captain swayed his body slightly. Seeing many people on Carefree Island carrying rafts on their shoulders, he knew a battle was inevitable. He immediately ordered those on the large ship to lower the smaller boats.
The tranquil lake was caressed by a gentle breeze, under a vast blue sky and clear water. The sky blended with the water, and the water met the land. The azure expanse reflected the lush scenery of the lake shore, with mist swirling in the green waves and the lake water shimmering with the sunset's glow. The view was exceptionally beautiful.
However, it was these arrogant and crude pirates who shattered the serenity of the lake's smooth, shimmering surface, like blue silk.
Liu Liu's gaze was clear and steady, without a trace of panic. With a wave of his hand, the people of Carefree Island placed all the rafts into the lake. The sturdy, small rafts floated on the water.
Liu Liu lifted the hem of his robe and was the first to leap onto a raft, standing as steadily as if on solid ground. The pirates on the small boats were somewhat intimidated.
The youth standing against the wind was like a long rainbow in the sky, radiating dazzling light. They could not afford to underestimate him and stood frozen on their small boats, not daring to act rashly.
Although the pirate captain on the large ship felt a tremor of fear, his years of sailing the rivers had forged a wild and overbearing personality. He refused to back down, waving his hand on the large ship and sternly ordering the men in the small boats.
"Go! Let them be arrogant."
Liu Liu sneered. A hint of contempt and disdain flickered across his exquisite face. "Today, I will let you detestable fellows know what kind of place our Seven Star Tower is?"
With that, he raised his hand. Before the pirates could even see what was happening, a shining silver sword appeared in his hand, pointing directly at the pirate captain on the large ship.
"Yes, let them come and never return!" Chu Feng and Dai Mei, along with the subordinates of the Seven Star Towers, leaped onto the rafts and advanced against the wind. The lake suddenly became lively. The two sides faced each other. Killing intent surged around Liu Liu's body, and his violent voice rang out.
"Kill them! Let them pay for their perpetual evil deeds." As soon as the words fell, the rafts shot forward like arrows released from a bow. Under the pirate captain's command, the pirates in the small boats quickly surged forward, weaving through the treacherous reefs with agile freedom.
Two people rowed, while three or four others stood at the bow of the boat, each holding a large saber. Their imposing presence was palpable, and their loud shouts intermittently shook the waters of Mirror Lake. Liu Liu disdained their bravado. The rafts smoothly and rapidly approached the small boats, their speed astonishing. Before the pirates could react, everyone began to fight.
The rafts darted around the small boats, their movements swift and precise. The sound of splashing could be heard intermittently as pirates fell into the water. In truth, these pirates were only good swimmers and relied on their numbers; very few possessed true martial prowess.
Engaging in combat with Liu Liu and the others, they were utterly outmatched. Chu Feng and the others had suffered losses earlier because these pirates always used their small boats for surprise attacks on the lake.
And because they naturally feared water, they were initially timid, allowing the pirates to exploit their weakness. But this time, with the freedom to control the rafts and their楼主 leading the charge, everyone felt as if they had
taken a pill of reassurance. They were like divine dragons descending the mountain, mighty and unstoppable. The pirate captain, witnessing the situation, swallowed hard and stared dumbfounded. Seeing many of his men killed and falling into the lake, he hastily turned and ordered.
"Quick! Leave immediately."
Liu Liu, seeing the most detestable pirate captain attempting to escape, flickered his figure and shot out, spinning in mid-air like a swallow, gracefully flying towards the large ship. His long, flowing, ice-blue robe swept a dark shadow across the lake. He landed on the large ship.
The pirate captain retreated two steps, his face tense as he pointed at Liu Liu, his arrogance gone. He stammered, "What do you want?"
"I don't want anything."
Liu Liu's expression was blank. The soft sword in his hand emitted a dazzling light, reflecting on the pirate captain's face. Following the bright light was a muffled groan.
The pirate captain's eyes widened in horror, staring in disbelief at the blood gushing from his chest. The gorgeously dressed, handsome youth still stood fixedly on the bow of the ship, nonchalantly wiping the bloodstained soft sword.
No one had seen his movements clearly. The pirates on the large ship felt a suffocating killing intent at that moment. Death was so close.
Everyone's legs trembled, and they shuffled towards the edge of the ship, paying no attention to the pirate captain. The pirate captain drew his last breath and fell into Mirror Lake with a plop.
Seeing their leader gone, the pirates panicked. Some wanted to jump into the lake amidst the chaos, while others were still struggling in the water. A clamor of frightened shouts echoed around. Liu Liu's cold, charming voice rang out.
"Nobody move, or else?" He didn't finish the sentence, but the pirates dared not stir. Whether in the water or on the ship, everyone stared fearfully at this youth who killed like slicing vegetables. He had not looked at them directly from beginning to end, yet they felt fear from the depths of their bones.
