300 The Net Closes In

Xie Nana hadn't snapped out of it yet; her body was trembling, unable to quickly accept my rapid change in identity.

"I'm sorry!" I said.

She suddenly started laughing, a very happy laugh, which left me bewildered.

She broke free from my grasp, tiptoed, cupped my face with both hands, and said, "I'm the one who should say sorry. Sorry, I wronged you."

"But they are your father and uncle! You?" I asked.

Xie Nana: "I hate drugs, and I hate everyone connected to drugs. Whether they are the closest people to me or the ones I love the most, I will cut them off completely!"

"You?!" I exclaimed.

Xie Nana: "I'll tell you the reasons later. Fortunately, you are not Sheng Hao. If you were, I wouldn't spare you either!"

I held Xie Nana's hand, stopping her from saying more. Mr. Song was on official duty, and we couldn't delay for too long.

Just then, police officers began to enter from outside. Hui Ge's men suddenly retreated, forming a circle around Hui Ge and then rushing towards the exit together.

I said, "I'm not sure, senior. Please cooperate with Mr. Song to secure the room. I'll go out to intercept them!"

I knew Da Kui and Young Master Wu were on the outer perimeter, preventing their breakout.

I quickly ran to the window, leaped onto the windowsill, and jumped out of an open window.

They had to go through the corridor from the door. I jumped directly outside the house, allowing me to get ahead of them.

Qian Fugui and Wen Siqiang saw me jump from the window and quickly followed me out.

"Are Hui Ge's men all dealt with?" I asked.

Wen Siqiang replied, "Those men resisted to the end, and it took quite a bit of effort. Most of the police force is dealing with this matter."

No wonder I didn't see many police officers; that's why.

"Quick," I said, "Hui Ge has broken out. We need to rendezvous with Young Master Wu and intercept them."

I had conceived this book for a long time. In 2010, I spent several months in Tengchong, and my understanding of jade began then.

Jade is beautiful, exquisitely beautiful. The lobby of the Xiangshangye Hotel where we stayed featured a carved jade piece weighing over a ton, which was truly awe-inspiring and magnificent.

The jade exhibits in the showroom were even more captivating, a feast for the eyes.

It was during that time that I suddenly fell in love with jade. Whenever I had free time, I would visit the jade market, though mostly just to browse and admire.

Sometimes I would buy a small item, just to indulge the feeling.

Jade can be addictive, especially stone gambling, where one moment you're rich, and the next you're poor, or even wearing rags. Such events unfold daily in the stone gambling city.

As written in the book, most stones don't yield great surprises; getting a bit of color is considered good. Yet, people constantly seek the next opportunity with dreams of striking it rich.

I've written about the experience of one person struggling in this industry. Please just take it as a story. If it offers any enlightenment or help, I will be content.

The book has been put on the shelves. I started uploading it sequentially at the end of last month, meeting the requirements for listing. From now on, there will be locked chapters. If you feel this book is still worth reading, I hope you will spend a few thousand coins to support the author. Writing a book is not easy; it's a difficult task that involves immense thought and the daily pressure of meeting update quotas.

I once missed the last high-speed train of the day because of writing, forcing me to forfeit my ticket and change my travel to the next day. People criticized me for a long time, saying I had become a bookworm.

Sitting in the waiting room, I didn't hear the boarding announcement, and by the time I realized, the train was long gone.

There are many interesting stories that happened during the writing process, which I will share gradually. In short, I hope for your support. Please leave more reviews; your encouragement is the sole motivation for me to continue writing.
