Chapter 169: Intense Bloodlust And Evolving Trait (Part 4)

"I expected him to be caught by the security forces since they had made thorough preparations. But to think he was captured in less than three minutes..." Elyara spoke with a shake of her head, still feeling speechless.

"All the members of the security forces were equipped with class-level electromagnetic rifles. If that guy had decided to fight back, even though he was an Epic Level warrior, he would have been seriously injured if he had been attacked by so many class-level rifles at the same time," Luo Bingqing said.

"Besides, Glen was far higher in level than him, and on top of that, they had isolated the area using a barrier so he couldn’t even escape. So, it’s only natural that he surrendered after just a few minutes of struggle."

Azrael did not say anything as he looked out the window of the moving hover car.

’That guy was just a simple Epic Level warrior and had no relation to the Enders.’

After the Epic Level warrior was caught by Glen and the others, Azrael had even approached him to sense his emotions.

And all he had felt were emotions of panic and fear at being caught. There were no signs of the unstable, corrupted emotions he had sensed from Harris and the other vessels of corruption during his trial.

’Is the Transcendent Organization really related to the Enders, or was my guess wrong?’

There were a total of three Epic Level warriors in the Transcendent Organization, including their leader.

The one they had just caught was one of those three, which meant he was one of the most important figures in the organization.

However, even he showed no connection to the Enders, which made Azrael doubt whether the Transcendent Organization truly had any relation to them.

Of course, for now, it was only a doubt. After all, it was possible that the top brass of the organization were wary of the side effects brought by becoming vessels of corruption and had not yet accepted the power of the Enders.

’The human experiments Joseph told me about... Could it be that they are experimenting on people to solve the side effects caused by becoming vessels of corruption?’

Azrael sighed inwardly, deciding to set the matter aside for now and focus on the task at hand.

After the Epic Level warrior was captured, Azrael and the others took his storage ring and found the token Luo Bingqing had mentioned.

Once they obtained the token, they did not delay any further and decided to head immediately to the Rolivia Forest.

Rolivia Forest was quite far from New Port City, and they would even have to cross the sea to reach it. Traveling there by hover car or ship would have taken too much time.

None of them wanted to waste time, afraid that the Transcendent Organization might shift their location once they learned that one of their Epic Level warriors had been captured. Because of that, Azrael specifically requested Glen to allow them the use of their spaceship.

After Glen reported to his higher-ups and explained that Azrael and the others had managed to capture an Epic Level warrior of the Transcendent Organization within just a single day of arriving, they were granted permission to use the spaceship.

At present, the three of them were heading to the space station where their spaceship had been docked.

Soon, they reached the station and boarded their spaceship.

Although the vessel could not operate at its full speed within the planet’s atmosphere, it was still significantly faster than a hover car.

In less than half an hour, the spaceship crossed the sea and approached the Rolivia Forest.

They landed about ten kilometers away from the forest and disembarked.

Luo Bingqing looked at the spaceship and placed it into the storage ring he had received when renting the vessel.

The spatial capacity inside the ring was more than enough to store the ship without any issues.

"Let’s enter the forest, and you can try to locate their hideout," Azrael said to Elyara, who nodded.

Luo Bingqing raised his hand, and ten small ice birds materialized around him.

He controlled the birds and sent them flying high into the sky to monitor everything in the surroundings.

The Transcendent Organization’s hideout was believed to be hidden somewhere within the forest, but the place itself was also dangerous, filled with numerous monsters.

In such a place, keeping watch over their surroundings to detect potential threats was essential.

Azrael also relied on his high Affinity with wind to listen to the sounds in the area. However, he refrained from using it to the same extent he had in Freta City, as it placed considerable strain on his mind. It would not be wise to exhaust himself in such a dangerous location.

Instead, he used the ability at a moderate level that would not overburden him, allowing him to hear sounds within a radius of about two hundred meters.

Soon, the three of them entered the forest, and Elyara began her work.

The trees of Rolivia weren’t like those of any ordinary forest. Their trunks were as black as obsidian, while their leaves glowed faintly with a strange bioluminescence, casting eerie lights through the drifting mist.

Being a rainforest, the air was thick and heavy, saturated with the scent of moss, and the ground was littered with puddles of murky water.

Through his Infinite Comprehension, Azrael noticed that the natural aura always present around Elyara had become immensely stronger the moment she used her trait actively.

She walked up to a tree, placed her hand on its trunk, and closed her eyes.

Though no wind flowed through the forest, both Luo Bingqing and Azrael saw the branches of the tree rustle faintly as if greeting Elyara.

Not only that, but drawn to the natural aura emanating from her, small animals and even weaker monsters began gathering around her.

Azrael and Luo Bingqing stood quietly aside, careful not to disturb her.

A few minutes later, Elyara withdrew her hand from the tree and crouched down, speaking softly to the animals and small monsters that had gathered near her.

Azrael observed everything calmly while keeping his focus on the voices in the surroundings.

But suddenly, a strange sensation washed over him, one eerily similar to what he had felt in Mira’s office and his expression changed.
