Chapter 359 Certain Death

Mu Feng could have easily crushed Zhao Tianxiong with his immense wealth, but he found the idea too troublesome and unnecessary. There was no need to resort to such measures when dealing with Zhao Tianxiong.

He didn't need to meticulously investigate the extent of Zhao Tianxiong's bloodlust. Merely being in the man's vicinity allowed him to sense the aura emanating from Zhao Tianxiong, a magnetic field formed by an abundance of resentful energy and malevolence.

Generally, individuals with such an aura had committed countless wicked deeds that defied heaven.

There was no reason for him to show mercy to such a person.

After a few minutes, he extinguished the cigarette butt in the ashtray, a faint smile appearing on his face. "Now, I believe you have a clear choice."

With that, he beckoned, and a silver needle flew back into his hand.

Zhao Tianxiong immediately began to gasp for air, his breathing becoming ragged like a broken bellows. In his eyes, only overwhelming fear remained.

"Please, spare me. This truly wasn't my initiative; someone wanted to make things difficult for you when they met me."

"We had agreed to merely observe. After all, you, the powerful outsider, were too formidable, directly purchasing an office building in the city center. We knew your financial might, and no one wanted to be the first to act."

"But someone found me. They told me directly that if I sent my brother to test you and deliberately provoke you, they would give me a great reward."

"Even if I couldn't stay in this city, they promised to build a career for me elsewhere to inherit."

Hearing this, a mocking smile spread across Mu Feng's face. "Do you think that's possible?"

Zhao Tianxiong shook his head, his gaze filled with pleading. "I know it's impossible, but they offered too much."

"They directly transferred ten million to me before, and more money trickled in daily."

"They said this money was specifically to deal with you. They would interfere behind the scenes in any business you operated. I don't know who exactly they are; you'll need to investigate those matters yourselves."

"As long as you agree, I will immediately transfer all my shares to you. Didn't you say you would give me some money? I'll take that money and leave this place, never to return again."

Mu Feng's eyes narrowed slightly. He had initially intended not to let Zhao Tianxiong off the hook, but now he had a different idea.

With a slight exertion of his hand, he retracted the silver needles, drawing them into his palm.

A hint of amusement appeared in his gaze. "Very well. Now, immediately transfer all shares to Flying Eagle Group. Your company will henceforth be a branch of Flying Group."

Even though his heart ached with reluctance, Zhao Tianxiong dared not object further. He knew he had become a piece of fish in Mu Feng's hands, with Mu Feng as the cleaver; he had no chance to resist.

After signing all the contracts, he retreated before Mu Feng, his face etched with a plea. "Can you please help me temporarily conceal this information?"

"Those who wanted me to deal with you will undoubtedly be monitoring me. They know you've arrived, and perhaps they'll want to capture me directly, considering the benefits I've received from my previous actions."

"Now that I've received benefits but failed to deliver, they'll surely demand their money back. I am alone and weak. I only ask that you help me keep this quiet. Once I've left this place, you can spread the news however you please."

Mu Feng smiled faintly. "You have half a day at most. After these twelve hours, I will directly replace the signboard of this branch."

"Now that all the share contracts are in my possession, this company belongs to me. How I manage it is my business. You should leave now. If you don't have a chance to leave within half a day, you might never be able to leave this city again."

Zhao Tianxiong dared not hesitate. He immediately opened the office safe, stuffed some valuables into his bag, took a deep look at Mu Feng, and then rushed out of the office.

Deep resentment festered within him, but he dared not vent it.

He immediately got into his car, preparing to flee.

He didn't want to stay here for another second, for he knew very well that while Mu Feng might spare him, the power behind the scenes would absolutely not let him off easily. He had now touched upon their fundamental interests.

However, as he drove out of the city, he suddenly felt something was amiss. He glanced back through the rearview mirror.

That single glance nearly scared his soul out of his body. Sitting in his back seat was a person, entirely shrouded in a black robe. Yet, the aura they exuded felt like a scythe, ready to reap his life at any moment.

In that instant, his face was filled with extreme terror. He slammed on the brakes.

His voice trembled. "Who… who are you?"

"Why are you in my car? What do you want?"

Hearing this, the black-robed figure in the back slowly lifted their head. Their face appeared as if it had been doused in acid. Even without any expression, it exuded a bone-chilling dread.

"Do you have any idea what you've done?"

"You took so much money from our master, and now you want to abscond, even gifting your company to Mu Feng before you leave."

"Our master gave you money to deal with Mu Feng. Now you're using our master's money to bolster Mu Feng. Do you think you can escape?"

Zhao Tianxiong was an intelligent man. He knew there was likely no opportunity to continue talking with them. In front of these people, he probably wouldn't even have a chance to beg for mercy.

He immediately opened the car door and bolted out, his face contorted in a look of terror. He shouted at the passing vehicles, waving his hands frantically, hoping they would stop.

However, no one on the road paid him any attention. Instead, they veered away from a distance.

The person in the back seat also pushed open the car door, a mocking sneer in their gaze. "You can't escape. Since I've caught up to you today, you are destined to die."
