Chapter 3 Resolving the Crisis

"Dad, what do we do?"

After Mu Feng and his group departed, Su Mingzhe, supported by his father, left the company. As the car started, father and son, with crestfallen faces, could not accept their imminent destitution.

Su Guoqiang gritted his teeth, astonished by Mu Feng's prowess. After a moment, he slowly regained his composure.

"First, investigate Mu Feng's background. I never expected him to be alive after seven years."

"Back then, I was involved in the Mu family's affairs. If Mu Feng finds out, I'm afraid..."

"Dad, don't worry. He doesn't seem that capable at all. There must be some trickery involved."

"One can only hope."

In truth, Su Guoqiang wished more than anyone that Mu Feng wasn't as formidable as he appeared, otherwise, he would have nowhere to bury himself.

"Right, should we report this to Grandma?" Su Mingzhe asked.

"Of course, we must. Otherwise, how can I explain to Mr. Zhang if I accepted so much money from him and we really cooperated with Zhentian Group?" Su Guoqiang's anger flared at the thought. He instructed, "Do your best to make Grandma stop that wild girl."

"Yes."

The father and son, in the car, had already finalized their plans for what came next.

"Hello sir, who are you looking for?"

As Mu Feng approached the president's office, he was suddenly stopped by two security guards.

He smiled and beckoned one of the guards over with a single hand.

The guard, not understanding, leaned his head closer.

"Just tell President Su that her husband is here."

"Huh? You..." The guard, thinking he was being toyed with, became enraged. He glared at the other guard and shouted, "Quick, throw this lunatic out!"

However, when his gaze fell back on Mu Feng, he found that the man had vanished. He was terrified.

"How did you get in?"

Su Nianxue, seated behind her desk, asked coldly as Mu Feng opened the door and walked in.

"Trying to test me? Why not switch to more capable guards?" Mu Feng said, sitting opposite her with a slight smile.

"Get out."

Su Nianxue's expression was frigid. Her fair, smooth face was taut, and her perfectly proportioned figure trembled slightly in her anger.

She wore a fitted professional suit that accentuated her figure like a beautiful landscape.

Her large, expressive eyes, framed by delicate eyebrows, glared at Mu Feng.

When she saw Mu Feng earlier, her heart had indeed been filled with surprise. But after the initial shock, Su Nianxue felt more resentment.

For so many years, she had believed Mu Feng was long dead. To her surprise, not only was Mu Feng alive and well, but he was also involved with the Flying Eagle organization.

And in the seven years that followed, Mu Feng had never contacted her, leaving her heart dead for seven years.

"How did you know I was sent by the Flying Eagle?"

Mu Feng's voice was calm, and he seemed unfazed by her anger as he asked.

"I don't care who sent you. No one can enter without my permission. Get out." Su Nianxue's brows were furrowed, and the coldness in her eyes sent chills down one's spine.

At that moment, the office door was pushed open, and several security guards rushed in. Seeing Mu Feng conversing with the president, they all froze, unsure whether to advance or retreat.

"Throw this person out," Su Nianxue said coldly.

"Yes, President."

The security guards, who had been hesitant moments before, sprang to life. They swarmed forward, brandishing stun batons, and charged at Mu Feng.

Many of the Su Group's security guards were former special forces soldiers, each possessing excellent combat skills.

*Crack, crack, crack!*

But before they could get close, Mu Feng casually drew several pens from Su Nianxue's desk and knocked all the guards to the ground.

They cried out in pain.

"Nianxue, I think you should stop them from wasting their energy. Even ten times more of them couldn't get close to me, these good-for-nothings." Mu Feng's lips curved into a smile.

"You?"

Su Nianxue frowned as she saw her subordinates in such a sorry state. She instructed, "You all can leave now."

The security guards helped each other up, staggering to their feet, and all retreated.

After they left, Mu Feng stared intently at Su Nianxue. She was no longer the innocent and gentle girl. Now, she was a formidable career woman with an overbearing aura.

"Had you seen enough?" In Su Nianxue's eyes, Mu Feng was also no longer the sunny youth; his face was etched with weariness and sharp features.

"No."

"You?"

Seeing Mu Feng's roguish demeanor, she truly didn't know what to say.

Su Nianxue suppressed her anger, took out a stack of documents from her drawer, and placed them on the desk. She continued, "This is some information you'll need to grasp. You must memorize it all before I leave work today."

"Tomorrow, have the secretary take you to buy some decent clothes. After all, you are my nominal husband, and dressing like this is rather inappropriate."

"Also, when you come to the company, wait for me in the driver's lounge. If you need anything, I'll find you."

"Most importantly, you must have my permission before entering my office."

"Understood?"

Su Nianxue laid down the rules for Mu Feng, one by one.

Picking up the weighty stack of documents from the desk, Mu Feng quickly scanned through them before placing them back on the table.

"I've memorized it all. Is there anything else I need to remember?"

"What did you say?" She could hardly believe her ears. A stack of documents, over a hundred pages of A4 paper – who could memorize it all with just a glance?

"Don't believe me? Do you want me to recite it for you?" Mu Feng asked softly.

Su Nianxue looked at him with a mixture of disbelief and suspicion. What had Mu Feng experienced in these seven years to become so formidable?

"When do you plan to restore the company's market value?"

"I have no such plans."

"You..."

Seeing that she was genuinely upset, Mu Feng stifled a laugh and decided not to tease her further. He said seriously, "If it were restored so easily, I'm afraid your position as president would be in jeopardy."

"Your second uncle is definitely badmouthing you to Grandma right now."

Hearing this, Su Nianxue nodded. She knew full well that if Grandma spoke, she would be kicked out of the company, and her grandfather's legacy would fall into their hands.

"Moreover, as far as I know, the Su Group's internal affairs are complicated, and the nepotism alone will keep you busy for a while." As he spoke, Mu Feng handed her his phone, saying, "This is the relationship network I've just mapped out, as well as the real cause of your grandfather's death. It seems it's not that simple."

On his way, Mu Feng had utilized various channels to thoroughly investigate the Su Group. Even the sudden death of Old Master Su was highly suspicious.

Most importantly, he had a feeling that Old Master Su's death might be somehow related to the Mu family.

Looking at the information on the phone, Su Nianxue's heart felt as if it were being twisted by a knife.

"Mu Feng, what have you been doing for the past seven years?"
