In the hospital, another figure appeared by Du Weicai's bedside. The young nurse who was supposed to change his dressing was knocked unconscious by the figure.
The figure removed the cloak covering his head.
He appeared to be sixty or seventy years old, his face a mass of wrinkles, his eyes bearing obvious red bloodshot veins, and a cruel expression etched on his face.
As he stood there, he was like a drawn sword, his body like a suppressed volcano, ready to erupt at any moment.
"You should know who I am, shouldn't you?"
"Something happened to my son in here, and now he's been taken out by me."
Du Weicai's face turned ashen, his mind racing with possibilities, but he dared not believe them.
He trembled, "Are you Zhang Qianshan's master?"
"I am his father, Zhang Chengdao."
"Tell me, who laid hands on my son?"
Zhang Chengdao's voice was laced with uncontrollable rage, "I'm giving you only one chance to speak. Don't make me impatient, or you'll never be able to speak again in this life."
Upon hearing this, Du Weicai nodded frantically, "The one who attacked your son was Mu Feng."
"Mu Feng said that he would come looking for your son's master when they arrived, which is why I guessed you were Mr. Zhang's master."
"Moreover, Mu Feng is incredibly strong, to a despairing degree."
"My current state is also due to Mu Feng's actions."
Zhang Chengdao glanced at Du Weicai's condition, his expression growing colder, his gaze filled with a chilling murderous intent.
"My son is dead, why are you still alive?"
"You might as well accompany my son on the road to the Yellow Springs. I'm too lazy to care about any deals or grudges between you, but anyone involved in this matter will die."
With that, he grabbed Du Weicai by the neck.
Du Weicai struggled with all his might, but the hand was like an iron vice. The seemingly frail fingers dug into his windpipe, holding him fast.
Air was completely cut off, and his face gradually turned ashen.
The pain twisted his face.
"When you reach the Yellow Springs, remember to give my son a message, tell him his father will avenge him."
"Tell him to take it slow on the road to the Yellow Springs; I'll send Mu Feng to join him soon."
Saying this, Zhang Chengdao suddenly increased the pressure on his hand.
He was about to strangle Du Weicai to death.
Just then, a cold voice sounded from behind him: "If I were you, I'd let go immediately."
Hearing this voice, Zhang Chengdao spun around abruptly.
He frowned.
"Who are you?"
A cold smile appeared on Mu Feng's face, "Didn't you just want me to accompany your son on the road to the Yellow Springs?"
"And now you're asking who I am? You don't even know who I am, and you still want to cause trouble for me?"
"If you kill Du Weicai, you'll have no one to help you."
"Besides, he's still useful to me, so he can't die."
"After all, we're still waiting for Zhang Qianshan's master to arrive."
Hearing this, Zhang Chengdao's eyes blazed with fury. His gaze was filled with boundless resentment.
"So it was you, you little bastard, who killed my son."
"I'll send you both to the Yellow Springs together."
As he said this, he tightened his grip, preparing to strangle Du Weicai.
Both Du Weicai and Mu Feng had to die.
A cold arc curved on Mu Feng's lips, and his figure flickered.
He directly grasped Zhang Chengdao's wrist.
"Crack!"
The sound of bone shattering echoed.
Zhang Chengdao's face turned deathly pale, his eyes filled with disbelief.
He tried to retreat, but his wrist was already firmly grasped by Mu Feng. An unshakeable shock was evident in his eyes.
"How is this possible?"
"I've clearly reached the Grandmaster realm, how could you cripple my wrist with a single move?"
"Even my protective energy didn't react at all?"
His heart was filled with even greater shock, but Mu Feng gave him no chance.
Mu Feng forcefully yanked his hand back and simultaneously unleashed a palm strike.
Before Zhang Chengdao could even adopt a defensive posture, he was struck by the palm, spitting blood and flying backward, his blood scattering through the air.
As he landed on the ground, he felt his internal energy churning chaotically throughout his body.
His gaze was filled with disbelief, "You actually crippled me?"
Mu Feng smiled enigmatically, "If I didn't cripple you, would I keep you for the New Year?"
"Originally, I was just fishing to lure out Zhang Qianshan's master and find out what your Alliance members were planning. I didn't expect to attract you, this old fellow."
"The enmity between us is irreconcilable. I will never leave an enemy for myself."
"And you are of no use to me, so it's better to send you to your death."
Hearing this, Zhang Chengdao's face turned even paler than paper, and a hint of fear appeared in his eyes.
He had initially thought he could easily avenge his son.
He never expected to encounter such a powerful expert.
"If you want to find the Alliance members, I can help you summon them. My son was accepted by Daojun as a disciple, and I was the one who made the connection."
"Daojun certainly wouldn't personally come out for my son."
"If you want to find him, you can only go through me. But if you kill me, all the clues will be broken."
"Daojun never even paid attention to my son."
Mu Feng's eyes narrowed slightly, "Is this Daojun you speak of a nickname, or is he a member of the Daoist sect?"
"I'm not entirely sure. You'll have to ask him yourself. I can take you there, please don't kill me!" As he said this, a flicker of hatred flashed in Zhang Chengdao's eyes.
He was no match for Mu Feng, but that person could easily capture Mu Feng.
As long as he could avenge his son, he didn't care about enduring humiliation and begging for mercy.
He only had this one son, and now he had died violently. His son, whom he had placed all his hopes on, was gone, extinguishing all his hopes.
Mu Feng, seeing through his thoughts, curved his lips into a cold smile, "It seems you are also a member of the Alliance."
"I am quite interested in meeting this Daojun. If he is a member of the Daoist sect, then I can directly help the old man clean up the house."
"I will take you there immediately. He is at the Daoist temple on the suburban hillside."
