Chapter 26 The Great Flood Dragon

Lin Hao had initially believed he could evade the great蛟's attack.

However, he had underestimated it.

How could a legendary creature like the great蛟 be something he could handle?

Realizing his underestimation, Lin Hao's nerves tensed to the extreme. He yanked the rope attached to him and simultaneously swam rapidly through the water, attempting to dodge the great蛟's assault.

But in the water, the great蛟's movements were far more agile than his.

Thus, just as Lin Hao dodged the great蛟's attack, in the next second, the great蛟's strike was upon him again.

Fortunately, Xiao Hei received Lin Hao's signal immediately.

Before entering the water, Xiao Hei had agreed with Lin Hao that if Lin Hao encountered danger, he would immediately pull the rope as a signal.

Upon receiving the signal, Xiao Hei would immediately start the inflatable boat and pull Lin Hao away from the area.

Xiao Hei had been waiting anxiously on the inflatable boat when suddenly, he saw the rope in the water violently shake.

Xiao Hei's expression changed, and he immediately shouted, starting the inflatable boat and speeding towards the distant waters.

Tang Ziyuan and Wang Dacong, witnessing this from the shore, also paled instantly and became worried.

They shouted towards Xiao Hei on the lake, but Xiao Hei could no longer attend to them.

He focused solely on piloting the inflatable boat, speeding towards the distant waters.

Underwater.

Lin Hao had dodged the great蛟's attacks more than ten times and was utterly exhausted.

He felt as though he would be devoured by the great蛟 in the next moment.

The great蛟, as if sensing his exhaustion, seemed to be toying with him.

Lin Hao felt both angry and somewhat fortunate at this sight.

If the great蛟 hadn't deliberately played with him, he feared he would have been eaten long ago.

His battle with the great蛟 was akin to a chick fighting an eagle; they were not on the same level.

Even without the great蛟's direct attacks, the mere undertow created by its sudden movements was something he could not withstand.

Once or twice was manageable, but after three or five times, he had already sustained internal injuries.

It was unavoidable; the pressure in the water was too immense.

Add to that the undertow and the surging water, and it was simply beyond what an ordinary person could endure.

This was despite Lin Hao's lifelong martial arts training, which gave him a physique superior to that of an average person.

Otherwise, an ordinary person would likely have had their chest and ribs broken into several pieces by now.

Lin Hao watched the great蛟 toying with him in the water, desperately gasping for oxygen, on the verge of collapse.

The great蛟 was not in a hurry, swimming back and forth around Lin Hao, as if waiting for him to kneel and beg for mercy underwater.

However, just then, Lin Hao felt a powerful force surge around his waist, and he was abruptly pulled backward at high speed.

Feeling this sudden surge of power, Lin Hao instantly realized that Xiao Hei had started the inflatable boat.

Knowing that Xiao Hei had started the boat, Lin Hao quickly adjusted his posture in the water.

He was being pulled backward rapidly, but now he was being pulled forward.

Simultaneously, Lin Hao used the boat's momentum to ascend quickly.

He wanted to surface as soon as possible.

Once on the surface, he could inform Xiao Hei of the situation and have him steer the boat towards the shore.

Instead of being underwater, where communication was impossible.

Although the plan with Xiao Hei was to immediately leave the dangerous waters and then head towards the shore if danger arose,

Lin Hao was not confident that the inflatable boat could outrun the great蛟 in the water.

If it couldn't, he feared he would be finished instantly.

Lin Hao pondered these thoughts, not daring to look back, desperately swimming towards the surface. He feared that a single glance back would cost him precious time for his ascent.

Every second counted now; Lin Hao dared not delay.

However, even though Lin Hao didn't dare to look back,

He could clearly hear the commotion behind him.

The "swish, swish, swish" of the water flow alone told him that the great蛟's speed was not much slower than his own.

At the same time, he could hear the great蛟's breathing.

This indicated that the great蛟 was right behind him.

Upon realizing this, Lin Hao felt a chill run down his spine.

But at this moment, he was helpless and could only swim upwards with all his might.

After about ten minutes, Lin Hao finally surfaced.

Upon surfacing, Lin Hao immediately removed his diving mask.

He saw Xiao Hei piloting the inflatable boat, speeding away towards the distant waters.

Lin Hao took off his diving mask and turned to look.

The sight instantly sent him into a state of utter terror.

The great蛟 was right at his heels.

If he had been even a fraction slower, the great蛟's gaping maw would have clamped down on his feet.

Lin Hao took a deep breath and immediately shouted at Xiao Hei.

"Xiao Hei! Head for the shore, quickly towards the shore!"

"Senior Brother! You're up!?"

"Senior Brother, you're up!?"

Hearing Lin Hao's voice, Xiao Hei became excited and shouted back twice.

He merely glanced sideways at Lin Hao, and when he saw a colossal shape vaguely appearing in the water behind Lin Hao, his expression changed dramatically.

"Senior Brother! I'm heading for the shore!"

Xiao Hei shouted anxiously, then abruptly turned the boat and sped towards the shore.

Seeing Xiao Hei heading for the shore, Lin Hao felt a wave of relief.

The diesel tank they had brought was small, and Lin Hao truly feared the inflatable boat running out of fuel.

If the boat ran out of fuel, he and Xiao Hei would likely be left to die facing the great蛟.

"Senior Brother, how are you!?"

Xiao Hei shouted anxiously at Lin Hao as he rapidly approached the shore.

"I'm fine, just keep driving!"

Lin Hao shouted back, gripping the rope and pulling himself closer to the inflatable boat.

At the same time, the great蛟 behind him, as if realizing Lin Hao was about to escape, accelerated its speed.

Furthermore, two water jets erupted from its nostrils once more!

Sensing danger, Lin Hao instinctively dove underwater, narrowly evading the great蛟's water jet attack.

Seeing that it had missed Lin Hao, the great蛟 seemed to grow angry. It let out a muffled roar from its nostrils, plunged its massive head into the water, and pursued Lin Hao even faster.

Lin Hao did not look back, but his instinct for danger made his scalp tingle instantly!

Sensing the approaching danger, Lin Hao held onto the rope and swam desperately towards the inflatable boat.

But in the next second, the great蛟 opened its massive maw and bit down on his feet!
