Chapter 25 Bound by Malevolent Energy

“Can do.” Lin Zhongtian nodded readily, but he was somewhat puzzled. Did his migraines have anything to do with the bedroom?

Lin Zhongtian was indeed a magnate. His bedroom alone was almost as large as Li Se's new house, featuring a double bed, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom.

“How is it, are there any problems?” Lin Zhongtian asked, looking confused.

“Not yet,” Li Se replied, feeling a bit strange. When he first met Lin Zhongtian, he could sense a pervasive malevolent aura about him, which was definitely related to the feng shui of the house. Yet, after carefully inspecting the villa, the feng shui seemed to have no issues at all. In fact, there were even five copper coins placed to enhance good fortune. Logically, such a person shouldn't be plagued by an aura of malevolence, let alone have things go smoothly.

“Is it really related to feng shui?” Lin Zhongtian asked, a hint of doubt in his voice.

“Dad, Brother Li is amazing,” Lin Xuan immediately recounted the events of the past few days to Lin Zhongtian.

Lin Zhongtian remained somewhat skeptical.

Li Se looked at Lin Zhongtian and said, “Mr. Lin, I suspect it’s not just migraines you’re experiencing; your business has also been quite sluggish recently, hasn't it?”

“Alas, in the past year, our Lin family’s business has declined day by day,” Lin Zhongtian sighed. He felt that his luck had been truly bad this year.

Li Se stated earnestly, “Mr. Lin, the reason for this is that you are being plagued by a malevolent aura.”

“Malevolent aura?” Lin Zhongtian frowned slightly. This concept felt too mystical.

Li Se explained, “In Traditional Chinese Medicine terms, it’s about vitality, spirit, and energy. When a person’s vitality, spirit, and energy are low, everything they do becomes difficult, and their luck naturally deteriorates. For instance, when you have a toothache, you feel annoyed by everything; this is because the toothache directly affects your vitality, spirit, and energy.”

Just as he finished speaking, Li Se suddenly noticed something and walked directly towards the TV cabinet in the bedroom. In front of the cabinet stood a vase. This vase appeared to be quite old and was undoubtedly expensive, but there was something wrong with it. He immediately asked, “Mr. Lin, where did you get this vase?”

When Li Se first entered, he had primarily focused on observing the overall layout of the bedroom and had not paid much attention to the furniture. Now, it seemed that Lin Zhongtian’s continuous bad luck was strongly related to this vase, as the vase itself emitted a malevolent aura.

“A friend of mine brought it from Hong Kong. I have a fondness for collecting antiques, and I spent tens of millions to buy this vase back then,” Lin Zhongtian said with a touch of arrogance as he mentioned the vase. This vase was genuine and cost a fortune.

Li Se was speechless. These wealthy individuals were so fond of collecting antiques. After confirming some details, he said, “Mr. Lin, you must have bought this vase about a year ago, right?”

“Yes,” Lin Zhongtian nodded, a flicker of realization and surprise crossing his face. “Are you saying this vase has a problem?”

“Indeed, the malevolent aura that is afflicting you stems directly from this vase,” Li Se stated with certainty.

Lin Zhongtian frowned, “A vase can affect a person’s fortune and give me migraines?”

Seeing Lin Zhongtian’s disbelief, Li Se picked up the vase and hurled it towards the ground. As the vase shattered, Lin Zhongtian’s heart almost shattered with it. But before he could express his anger, he saw a pattern inside the broken vase.

Li Se smiled and said, “Mr. Lin, the origin of this vase is quite extraordinary. It was likely unearthed from a burial ground. Objects from burial grounds inherently carry a heavy malevolent aura, which is why people involved in such things tend to have shorter lifespans. If this vase were exposed to sunlight for several days, the malevolent aura would naturally dissipate. However, after you purchased it, you kept it in the bedroom, which is a rather dim area. Over time, it began to affect your fortune.”

The thought of a vase worth tens of millions being smashed like this was, frankly, agonizing for Lin Zhongtian.

After finishing his explanation, Li Se pointed towards the broken vase, murmured an incantation, and black malevolent energy began to emanate from the fragments, disappearing completely within moments.

“It really is a malevolent aura!” Lin Zhongtian exclaimed, a tremor of fear in his voice. At that moment, he felt an unprecedented sense of lightness, as if his headache had completely vanished.

Li Se turned and said respectfully to Elder Huang, “Elder Huang, you just need to prescribe Mr. Lin a tonic to replenish his vitality, spirit, and energy.”

“Alright!” Elder Huang immediately nodded, retrieved paper and pen, wrote out a prescription, and handed it to Lin Zhongtian.

“Divine Doctor Li, thank you so much!” Lin Zhongtian expressed his profound gratitude and had Lin Xuan bring forth ten million as a consultation fee. “This is ten million, a small token of my appreciation.”

Li Se did not refuse, pocketing the ten-million-dollar check. He thought to himself again, how easy it was to earn money from the wealthy.

“Dad, I told you, Brother Li is truly formidable!” Lin Xuan said proudly, after all, he was the one who brought Li Se.

“Hahaha!” With the malevolent aura cleared, Lin Zhongtian felt refreshed and his mood improved considerably. He thanked Li Se once more.

After leaving the Lin residence, Elder Huang remarked with deep feeling, “The art of feng shui does share some common ground with Traditional Chinese Medicine.”

“Elder Huang, any mystical aspect of feng shui can be explained by Traditional Chinese Medicine,” Li Se said with a smile, exuding an aura of unfathomable depth.

Elder Huang patted Li Se’s shoulder and said, “Young Doctor, with your medical skills, you could completely apply for Imperial Physician status. How about it, would you like me to recommend you?”

“Imperial Physician?” Li Se paused slightly.

“That means treating high-ranking government officials. Your status would be entirely different,” Elder Huang said with a slight smile. “In our field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are currently only two Imperial Physicians in all of China; the rest are Western medicine practitioners.”

Li Se shook his head and replied, “Elder Huang, thank you for your kind offer, but I prefer to treat ordinary people.”

“Hahaha!” Elder Huang chuckled heartily. “Good lad, you’re just like I thought. You’re not someone who focuses on fame and fortune. Otherwise, just by treating Shen Long’s son, you would have been able to control considerable wealth and influence.”

“I will earn every penny that is rightfully mine and no more,” Li Se stated calmly and confidently. For example, he had accepted the ten million consultation fee from the Lin family without much hesitation.

“Very good. A gentleman loves wealth and acquires it through proper means,” Elder Huang’s admiration for Li Se grew, finding him far superior to hypocrites. Then, as if remembering something, he smiled with a touch of playful impertinence, saying, “I have a granddaughter…”

Before Elder Huang could finish speaking, Li Se coughed twice and interjected, “Elder Huang, I appreciate your kind thought, but I am not considering anything in that regard at the moment.”

“You rascal!” Elder Huang rolled his eyes. “I wanted to tell you that I have a granddaughter who is not in good health and I’d like you to examine her.”
