Chapter 715 Father and Son Meet

When Li Se saw Tang Rou's bare body, he was stunned. This woman was serious. She actually intended to use his body to get revenge on Tang Xi. He truly couldn't imagine there being such a crazy woman.

Tang Rou, with nothing on, saw Li Se frozen in place and immediately felt a sense of triumph. She beckoned with her finger and said, "Come on, if you're a man, then play with me!"

Her words were both provocative and seductive. It was unlikely any man could resist such temptation.

Li Se took a deep breath and said coldly, "Tang Rou, you're truly sick, and severely so. I suggest you see a psychiatrist as soon as possible!"

After saying this, Li Se turned and left, even closing the door behind him.

When he heard the door slam shut, Tang Rou finally realized that Li Se had truly left. He had abandoned her completely naked. Had she been thoroughly rejected?

"Li Se, you'll regret this!" Tang Rou roared.

However, Li Se couldn't hear her. He was already driving back to the clinic. What a joke! He could remain calm even when faced with the ultimate temptation of Su Mei, let alone someone like Tang Rou. Though, the scene just now was indeed a bit stimulating.

But as soon as he returned to the clinic, before he could even go inside, his phone rang again. He instinctively thought it was Tang Rou calling, but upon checking, it was Leng Ruoshuang. This surprised him; why was this woman calling him?

"Where are you? The Captain wants to see you," Leng Ruoshuang's voice came through the phone.

Li Se froze for a moment. He knew who Leng Ruoshuang's "Captain" was – his biological father. He hadn't seen Li Shengjun since his follow-up appointment. It wasn't that he didn't want to see him, but he didn't know how to approach him, or what to say. Everything felt unfamiliar, but he still agreed.

At the military sanatorium.

Leng Ruoshuang walked ahead, with Li Se following behind. His thoughts were in a bit of a daze. By the time they arrived at Li Shengjun's ward, he finally came to his senses.

After several days of care, Li Shengjun had completely passed the danger zone, but it would still take some time for him to fully recover. Even with Li Se's medical skills, a complete recovery couldn't happen in a short period.

"General Li!" Li Se said respectfully. Setting aside their father-son relationship, Li Shengjun was indeed worthy of respect. The God of War of Huaguo, who had always defended the border, was a hero.

"Doctor Li, I heard you saved me, so I asked Ruoshuang to call you over. I hope you don't mind?" Li Shengjun said from his bed, his voice still a bit weak.

Li Se shook his head and smiled, "I don't mind."

"Sit down," Li Shengjun gestured to a chair by the bed.

Li Se didn't stand on ceremony and sat down. He looked at the biological father before him, but no matter what, he couldn't bring himself to call him "Father."

"Take this. You saved me, and I don't know how to thank you. I don't have much to give, only this. You can use it when you're in trouble." Li Shengjun took out a small, exquisitely crafted token engraved with the words "God of War."

"Is this the War God Token?" Li Se was slightly startled and quickly pushed it back. "General Li, I can't accept this."

"Take it. It's the only thing I can give you," Li Shengjun said with a wry smile, a hint of self-mockery in his tone. He had thought about offering other gifts to repay Li Se, but having spent years on the border, he could only find this War God Token.

Li Se no longer refused and accepted the War God Token. Perhaps others didn't know what this token represented. With this token, one could command a hundred thousand soldiers, indicating the immense respect it commanded.

Of course, this was somewhat of an exaggeration. After all, he wasn't Li Shengjun, and the token's power wasn't automatically conferred upon whoever possessed it. However, anyone who recognized its value would be wary upon seeing it, making it an invaluable life-saving charm in the capital.

"For the past twenty years, I've been on the border and rarely returned, so I'm not aware of many things..." Li Shengjun looked at Li Se. He had much he wanted to say but didn't know how to begin. He also wanted to explain some things, but many explanations seemed redundant.

"Alas... never mind. I don't know what else to say. This War God Token will be of great help to you. At least in the capital, some people will not dare to touch you after seeing it," Li Shengjun sighed.

Li Se nodded. "I understand, General Li. You should rest more. Your body has not fully recovered."

"Yes, I know," Li Shengjun nodded as well.

The two soon fell into silence. When Li Se emerged from the room, only ten minutes had passed.

"So soon?" Leng Ruoshuang seemed surprised.

"Why not?" Li Se asked, looking puzzled. "Do you think General Li and I would discuss life, ideals, or have a late-night chat?"

"That's not what I meant. I thought you would chat for at least an hour," Leng Ruoshuang also wondered why it was so brief. Ten minutes, they probably didn't discuss anything significant.

"By the way, I haven't properly thanked you, Sister Ruoshuang, for your help these past two times." Li Se smiled. Leng Ruoshuang had helped him once at the Nine-Five Supreme, and again when he was taken away by the military. In just a few days, she had helped him twice.

"It's my duty," Leng Ruoshuang patted Li Se's shoulder and said, "Feel free to visit anytime if you have nothing else to do. I think the Captain would be very happy to see you."

Li Se just nodded and didn't say much more. He soon took his leave. Just as he was leaving the sanatorium, he happened to see Li Sheng Guo. Beside Li Sheng Guo were a man and a woman. The woman appeared to be in her early twenties, and the man was likely around thirty. They also saw Li Se at this moment.

"Dad, who is this? She looks a lot like Third Uncle," the woman asked curiously.

"He's your Third Uncle's attending physician," Li Sheng Guo replied, then he proactively greeted Li Se. "It's really troublesome, Doctor Li. You're still coming for a follow-up visit for Sheng Jun so late."

"It's my duty." Li Se always felt that Li Sheng Guo hid his thoughts very deeply, giving him an unfathomable impression. He suspected Li Sheng Guo's intentions towards him weren't genuinely good.

"Doctor Li?" The man in his thirties, however, sized up Li Se. He didn't say anything but simply nodded slightly, acknowledging his presence.

"If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave now." Li Se had no intention of talking further with Li Sheng Guo and quickly left the military sanatorium. It was already eight or nine o'clock in the evening when he returned home.

"You're back?" Huang Shanshan, wearing a nightgown, was watching television in the living room.

Her alluring appearance, with glimpses of skin, made Li Se recall Tang Rou from earlier, and an irrepressible fire surged within him. He scooped Huang Shanshan into his arms and headed for the bedroom...
