**Chapter 699: Settling the Score**
*Crack!*
Li Se stomped down, snapping several of the man’s bones. The man immediately began wailing and begging for mercy: "Aahhh… I was wrong! I won’t dare anymore! I admit I got a little too loud earlier…"
The others lying on the ground broke out in cold sweat, their faces pale. *This is brutal… way too brutal. Did he just break multiple bones?* Too terrified to speak, they could only tremble in fear.
**"Who—who the hell kicked me?!"** Lu Chen finally scrambled up from the ground, his face twisted in rage as he stormed back into the clinic. But the moment he saw all his men sprawled on the floor, he froze.
**"Me. Got a problem with that?"** Li Se replied coolly, staring at him.
**"You actually dared to lay hands on me? Do you even know who we are? We’re from the Hongmen—!"** Lu Chen roared.
**"I know you’re from the Hongmen. And you’re the cousin of their young master, Hong Shi. Go on, call him over,"** Li Se said dismissively.
Lu Chen was taken aback. **"Y-you know our young master?"** Then his expression darkened. **"You little punk, just because you’ve heard of him doesn’t make you hot shit. Did you think dropping his name would scare me? Fine, just wait—I’ll call him right now!"**
Li Se didn’t stop him. About ten minutes later, a stretch Lincoln pulled up. As soon as it stopped, attendants rushed to open the rear door, and out stepped Hong Shi—dressed in a sleek suit, flanked by several bodyguards.
**"Young Master! The Young Master is here!"**
**"This guy’s done for. How dare he attack us? The Young Master won’t let him off!"**
**"I want him on his knees begging. And I want his woman too!"**
**"Dream on. A beauty like that? The Young Master will keep her for himself."**
The thugs instantly regained their confidence. After all, this was the heir of the Hongmen.
**"Cousin, you’re finally here! It’s this bastard—we offered him a million for his clinic, and not only did he refuse, but he also attacked us! You’ve got to avenge us!"** Lu Chen snarled through gritted teeth.
Hong Shi smirked arrogantly, not even sparing Li Se a glance. Instead, his gaze locked onto Huang Shanshan. *Damn, she’s gorgeous.*
Lu Chen sneered. **"You little shit, why aren’t you kneeling yet? You had the nerve to hit me? Well, now that the Hongmen Young Master is here, let’s see how tough you act now! If you kneel, we’ll take this place for half a mil—and this beauty here will serve our Young Master!"**
**"Hah, cat got your tongue? Scared speechless? Figures. Plenty of people get overwhelmed by our Young Master’s presence. But fear’s good—at least you’ll live to see tomorrow!"**
Lu Chen grew more and more smug. With Hong Shi here, he had nothing to fear. The Hongmen controlled half the nightlife in the capital—their power was undeniable.
**"Oh? And your Young Master dares to try?"** Li Se scoffed.
**"Holy shit, this guy’s got a death wish! How dare he talk to our Young Master like that?"** The thugs were stunned. *Who does this guy think he is?*
**"You fucking asking to die?!"** Lu Chen barked.
**"Kid, you’ve got some nerve—"** Hong Shi finally turned his attention to Li Se, only to freeze mid-sentence. *Isn’t this the guy who clashed with Young Master Ye today? He owns this clinic?!*
**"Heh, we meet again,"** Hong Shi said coldly.
**"I didn’t get to deal with you this morning, and now you come to me?"** Li Se smirked.
Hong Shi’s face darkened. **"Don’t think just because you’ve got some skills, you’re untouchable. There are plenty of strong fighters in this world. And even if you’re good, you’re still just one man. Or do you think you can take on a hundred?"**
Earlier, he’d sent the Hongmen’s top fighter to teach this kid a lesson for Ye Bowen—only for that fighter to get wrecked effortlessly. But what shocked him more was… *Didn’t Ye Bowen have him thrown into military custody? How is he out already?*
**"Go ahead and try. If you think you’re tougher than Ye Bowen, feel free to rob me in broad daylight,"** Li Se said casually.
**"You’ve got some damn nerve!"** Lu Chen howled.
*Bam!*
Li Se kicked him flying again, annoyed. **"So damn noisy."**
The Hongmen men gaped in disbelief. *How dare he attack someone right in front of the Young Master?!*
**"You think I don’t exist?!"** Hong Shi roared.
**"We’ve got unfinished business from today,"** Li Se said with a chilling smile, cracking his knuckles as he stepped forward.
**"Y-you—what are you planning?!"** Hong Shi paled. Knowing Li Se’s skills, he wasn’t about to take unnecessary risks. **"Fine, I’ll let today slide. But remember—you’ve made an enemy of me. Let’s go!"**
His men were baffled. *We’re just leaving?!*
**"Leaving so soon?"** Li Se sneered. With a swift kick, he sent Hong Shi flying face-first into the Lincoln’s door. The impact dented the metal, and blood gushed from Hong Shi’s forehead.
**"AHH! You hit our Young Master?!"**
**"You’re dead! The Hongmen will make you pay!"**
**"I’ve never seen anyone dare to lay a finger on our Young Master!"**
The thugs erupted in fury.
Hong Shi’s bodyguards clenched their fists, charging at Li Se—
**"STOP!"** Hong Shi bellowed.
The men halted, confused. *No retaliation?!*
**"None of you are a match for him!"** Hong Shi hissed, blood dripping down his face as two men helped him up. His expression was twisted with rage. **"I won’t forget this. The Hongmen won’t let this go. Just you wait—OW FUCK! I-I was wrong! I won’t dare anymore!"**
Mid-threat, Hong Shi’s bravado crumbled the second Li Se raised a baton. He dropped to his knees, begging pathetically.
The Hongmen disciples were utterly dumbfounded…
