Chapter 63 Yuzhibo's Second Summoned Beast

As the distance to the colossal shadow grew shorter, Yu Zhibo's clone gradually discerned its outline.

It was a dark behemoth with a half-meter long black horn on its head. Its limbs were relatively short, its body about fifteen meters long, and it was covered in thick fur. Its massive head was dark and ferocious, its eyes closed, and its mouth was large, filled with serrated teeth. A pair of bear-like ears adorned its round head.

Its hands and feet were somewhat humanoid, though proportionally much shorter than a human's. They were covered in dense black fur, giving it a comically clumsy and hulking appearance.

Currently, it lay on its side, its massive paws crossed over its chest as if guarding something. There was no trace of life in its body; it was clearly dead.

After observing for a while, Yu Zhibo's clone walked around the back of the giant beast to continue its inspection. It discovered that the beast's tail was very short, resembling a panda's tail. Furthermore, there was a large hole at the back of its head, and its spirit crystal had already been dug out by other monsters.

Shaking his head, Yu Zhibo's clone prepared to leave. Just then, his Sharingan noticed that the dark spirit energy, decomposed by lightning release, had transformed into light spirit energy and was converging towards the dark behemoth's chest. A faint breath then slowly began to revive, gradually growing stronger.

Yu Zhibo's clone frowned. He was certain the dark behemoth was dead and still showed no signs of life. Therefore, the sound of breathing could only belong to another creature.

He followed the direction of the converging light spirit energy back to the front of the dark behemoth and found that the light spirit energy was gathering towards something protected by its arms. Following this, the breathing within grew increasingly vigorous.

Feeling as though he had awakened some entity, Yu Zhibo's clone dispersed the lightning in his hand and retreated a few steps, watching the dark behemoth's chest warily.

At that moment, a sudden change occurred.

A red glow flashed through the dark behemoth's chest, and then a black shadow shot out from within, leaping onto the dark behemoth's shoulder. It looked at him with scarlet eyes.

That red glow emanated from the black shadow's eyes.

Yu Zhibo's scarlet Sharingan narrowed. Upon seeing the black shadow's appearance, a guess instantly formed in his mind.

The creature standing on the dark behemoth's shoulder, apart from the horn on its head which had only just begun to sprout as a rounded nub, possessed all the characteristics of the deceased dark behemoth. It was clearly the offspring of the dark behemoth.

Judging by the dark mass of energy within its body, its strength was likely around the mid-E-class.

Considering that the dark behemoth, though dead, had still fiercely protected its child, Yu Zhibo couldn't help but feel a slight stir of emotion. This was the greatness of maternal love!

"I will personally send you to reunite with your mother," Yu Zhibo murmured. Lightning flared in his hand, and then electric arcs condensed, forming the shape of a light sword. The light sword then suddenly extended, instantly closing in on the dark cub.

This dark creature cub possessed berserk spiritual energy, its eyes were blood-red, clearly having lost its sanity.

It could no longer be used as a summoning beast, so there was only a fight to the death between them.

"Giegiegie~"

A somewhat sharp voice came from the dark cub's mouth. The dark cub pushed off the dark behemoth's shoulder and instantly vanished into the darkness.

It actually possessed the ability to hide in the void.

However, this was merely concealment, not a complete entry into another dimension. Therefore, Yu Zhibo's Sharingan could see where it was hiding.

"Whoosh!"

The Chidori Blade extended to three meters and swung towards the hidden dark cub on the ground not far away.

"Giegie~" The dark cub cried ferociously, its speed like lightning, dodging the swing once more before disappearing again into the muddy ground three meters away.

After concealing its body, its mouth opened wide, and it spat out a black mass the size of a basketball.

The next moment, the black mass also vanished at its location.

But all of this was seen by Yu Zhibo's Sharingan.

He could clearly see a very strange energy within this black mass, wrapped by its thin outer layer, as if it would explode completely with just a touch!

This reminded Yu Zhibo of Teemo from "League of Legends."

"Therefore, Teemo must die!"

Yu Zhibo shook his head slightly, deciding not to play anymore. The lightning sword in his hand transformed again; he intended to use Chidori Senbon for a wide-range attack to completely annihilate the dark cub.

The next moment, however, his Sharingan met the dark cub's eyes and suddenly let out a soft exclamation.

He saw that the decomposed light spirit energy was being absorbed by the rounded horn on the dark cub's head. As more and more light spirit energy was absorbed, the red glow in the dark cub's eyes began to fade, showing signs of regaining its sanity.

"Interesting!"

Yu Zhibo's eyes brightened, and an idea formed in his mind: perhaps having a cheeky Teemo as a summoning beast wouldn't be a bad choice.

Moreover, he wasn't afraid of the dark cub regaining its sanity.

Unlike the powerful genjutsu abilities of the Mangekyo Sharingan, with his current two-tomoe Sharingan, attempting genjutsu attacks on creatures with mental disorders could easily lead to failure due to their berserk mental interference.

Therefore, for him, if the dark cub could completely regain its sanity, it would be more conducive to him controlling it with genjutsu and successfully signing a summoning contract with it.

Thus, the lightning in his hand began to glow even brighter, accelerating the purification of dark spirit energy in the air.

And as the light spirit energy continued to be absorbed, the red glow in the dark cub's eyes began to fade faster.

Until finally, its scarlet eyes were replaced by a pair of lively and pure black eyes.

Yu Zhibo stood with a smile, doing his best to convey his goodwill.

"Giegie?" The dark cub tilted its head, looking at Yu Zhibo curiously. Its small body materialized in the air.

Sensing no malice from Yu Zhibo's clone, curiosity prompted it to tentatively approach Yu Zhibo step by step, but it was also ready to flee at any moment.

Seeing this, Yu Zhibo's clone abandoned the idea of using genjutsu and slowly crouched down.

The dark cub was startled by his movement and took a step back, but upon seeing Yu Zhibo's kind eyes, it began to approach tentatively again.

It was like a newborn puppy, curious about humans, fearful, yet instinctively drawn to them.

Finally, Yu Zhibo's hand successfully touched the rounded horn that had just begun to sprout on its head.

The moment he touched the dark cub, its body stiffened for an instant, and then it completely relaxed.

The dark cub's fur was short and soft, much like a puppy's. After petting it for a while, Yu Zhibo's clone picked it up.

Upon being picked up by Yu Zhibo's clone, the dark cub's body stiffened again, appearing to want to escape but also reluctant to leave.

Yu Zhibo's mouth curved upwards. He placed it a little further away from himself, signaling that his next actions were not malicious.

Instantly, the dark cub completely relaxed and wanted to come closer to Yu Zhibo again.

Yu Zhibo stopped it with his hand and then opened the summoning scroll.

"Giegie?" The dark cub looked at him curiously.

Then, Yu Zhibo condensed a small light blade with lightning release, making a motion to cut his own thumb, and pointed at the dark cub's small hand.

"Geigie?" The dark cub tilted its head, looking at Yu Zhibo, then at its own furry hand.

Five minutes later.

The dark cub's small black bloody handprint emitted a glow and disappeared onto the summoning scroll.

Seeing that the summoning contract was complete, Yu Zhibo finally breathed a sigh of relief and then looked at the somewhat aggrieved dark cub, his gaze softening.

What a cute little Teemo, and he had almost killed it just now.

"What a sin, what a sin!"

"Now, let's start exploring other areas to see if there are any other suitable summoning beasts."

Yu Zhibo could vaguely sense that the dark creatures in this place were different from the dark wyverns he had encountered last time, but he couldn't quite pinpoint how.

He decided to go and see.

Seeing him about to leave, the dark cub seemed reluctant. Its small body stayed beside its deceased mother, looking at Yu Zhibo pleadingly.

"We'll meet again!" Yu Zhibo waved to it with a smile and then walked forward.

"Giegiegie!"

However, after walking less than fifty meters, another shadow appeared in his vision. Just as Yu Zhibo was about to discern what it was, the dark cub suddenly rushed in front of him, frantically waving to stop him, its voice becoming sharp.

"Good boy, I told you, we'll meet again. I'm going to a very dangerous place, so don't follow me!"

Yu Zhibo petted the dark cub's head, placed it to the side, glanced at the shadow ahead, and continued to walk forward.

Suddenly, he felt as if he had broken through a thin, bubble-like substance.

Then, as if something had suddenly exploded, his vision turned completely black, and a dark, strange energy instantly swept over his entire body.

"Is this the hidden effect of the Great Teemo's black mass? Even my two-tomoe Sharingan couldn't see through it."

A thought surfaced in Yu Zhibo's clone's consciousness. Before disappearing, he rushed out of the black mist and looked as far forward as possible, finally seeing clearly what the shadow ahead was.

It was a dead wolf-like dark behemoth, its body riddled with holes from corrosion, seemingly killed by the same hidden black mass.

Then, his body exploded with a bang, turning into smoke and dissipating in place. The scroll on his back fell onto the muddy ground.

"Giegie!"

The dark cub wailed mournfully at the spot where he disappeared, tightly hugging the summoning scroll that had fallen to the ground.

(Ah~ Black Cat knows I eat Giegie's dark energy spirit crystals, won't it be angry? Black Cat is so scary, unlike me, who only feels sorry for Giegie~~)
