Chapter 24 Arrangements

The disguise was too obvious; any Naruto fan would recognize Yu Zhibo as the adult Kakashi.

However, this world did not have the manga Naruto.

Looking at the man before her with silver hair and a height of 1.85 meters, Lin Wanjun felt unaccustomed. She couldn't connect him with the dark-browed, big-eyed youth from moments ago.

Moreover, she could sense that Yu Zhibo was not using a simple illusion. The man before her existed between reality and illusion. With her discernment, she could tell he was fake but couldn't pinpoint the falsehood, let alone see through the superficial to expose Yu Zhibo's true identity.

She became greatly curious about Yu Zhibo's skill.

But curiosity aside, each sequence had its unique aspects, and the principles of psionic energy application varied greatly.

She didn't intend to pry too deeply. For someone as talented as Yu Zhibo, secrets were bound to exist. She only needed to know that Yu Zhibo was part of the Sacred Bureau.

After a careful look, she suggested, "The height difference between your current form and your original body is too great. Fighting in this posture should affect your combat effectiveness, shouldn't it?"

"Yes, I was just playing around. Please wait!" Yu Zhibo said, then formed another hand seal.

Lin Wanjun was speechless.

*Bang!*

The 16-year-old version of Kakashi appeared, standing at 1.72 meters, looking much younger. His build was similar to Yu Zhibo's original body, though he still wore the forehead protector and mask, and had silver hair.

Lin Wanjun, who was less than 1.7 meters tall, around 1.68 meters, found the much shorter youth more pleasing to the eye. She reached out and touched his silver hair. Feeling its reality, she exclaimed, "I initially thought your transformation jutsu was an illusion. I never imagined it would be so special. But have you considered how you'll eat?"

Yu Zhibo paused slightly but quickly recovered, saying, "Just pull down the mask."

In the original work, Kishimoto kept Kakashi's face hidden to maintain his mystique, preventing him from eating openly. But in reality, it was just a matter of taking off the mask. After all, it was a transformation jutsu; who didn't have a handsome face?

"Why make it so troublesome? Since it's a transformation jutsu, you can just take off the mask," Lin Wanjun said helplessly, finding the youth's thought process a bit difficult to understand.

"You don't understand. Lord Kakashi is a belief!" Yu Zhibo stated.

"Have you thought of a new name?"

"Let's call him Lord Kakashi!"

Lin Wanjun said no more. She produced a tablet from the void, logged into her highest-access account in Ningcheng, and added Yu Zhibo's new identity information to the Information Department's database.

Thus, in addition to Yu Zhibo, Team Three gained a new member: a silver-haired youth named Lord Kakashi.

Yu Zhibo found it quite amusing. With two identities, he could let Lord Kakashi take the spotlight while he developed discreetly. One overt, one covert, complementing each other.

It might be tiring to play the role at first, but once he accumulated enough energy points to learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu, who would dare doubt Lord Kakashi's existence?

After all, Shadow Clones possessed true physical form and independent consciousness.

With Wang Ange's help earlier, Yu Zhibo had already registered in the archives and downloaded the Sacred app. Therefore, Lin Wanjun didn't need to re-register an account for him. Instead, she found his information on the tablet and tapped a few times, classifying his and Lord Kakashi's personal details as top secret, viewable only by her in Ningcheng.

"Go back and study the app carefully. You also need to understand some common knowledge about supernaturals in the database," Lin Wanjun told Yu Zhibo.

"Thank you, Aunt Lin!"

Lin Wanjun smiled. After completing everything, she tossed the tablet into her spatial storage. Only then did she remember Lin Xiuquan on the ground. She walked a couple of steps, picked him up, and then placed her other hand on Yu Zhibo's shoulder.

"Change back to your original form!" Lin Wanjun glanced at Yu Zhibo's silver hair.

Yu Zhibo complied, and the dark-browed, big-eyed youth returned.

The next moment, the three of them appeared in the archives.

In the archives, Si Junfang didn't know where the Director and the other two had gone, but she vaguely sensed that her superior was in trouble and was anxiously waiting with Wang Ange and Su Caiying.

Seeing Lin Wanjun appear, her eyes lit up. "Director, our superior, he..."

Lin Wanjun smiled faintly, "He's fine. Just take him to the office for a nap."

"Thank you, Director." Si Junfang breathed a sigh of relief.

Although she often argued with Lin Xiuquan, after her father's death, she truly regarded Lin Xiuquan as her closest elder.

Then she heard Lin Wanjun say, "Later, find some time to help Little Yu get familiar with the Sacred Bureau. I've already classified his personal information as top secret. Don't leak it casually, understand?"

Si Junfang nodded repeatedly, "Don't worry, Director. I know the importance of this matter."

Lin Wanjun nodded with satisfaction. She greatly admired Si Junfang. Although her personality seemed like a tomboy, she was meticulous in her work and knew what was important. She planned to promote her to部長 (Minister) when she reached B-class. As for Lin Xiuquan, with his ailments now gone, he needed to focus on improving his strength and shouldn't devote too much energy to official duties.

There were still too few awakened individuals in Ningcheng. She hoped Yu Zhibo's arrival would bring some change.

Before leaving, she reached out and patted Yu Zhibo's head, smiling, "Keep it up, Little Yu!"

Then, with a flicker of her figure, she vanished from the spot.

As soon as Lin Wanjun left, Si Junfang came up and threw an arm around Yu Zhibo's neck, laughing, "You brat, you're doing well, getting close to the Director. She even calls you Little Yu."

Yu Zhibo was lamenting that Lin Wanjun hadn't given him any protective buffs when she patted his head. Si Junfang's sudden move, with his head against her chest and her perfume filling his nostrils, made his face turn red.

"Pat his head, pat his head!" Su Caiying egged on from the side.

Wang Ange, on the other hand, was grinning as she stroked his buzz cut, mimicking Lin Wanjun's tone, "Keep it up, Little Yu!"

Si Junfang slapped her hand away. "What are you touching? Can you afford it if you mess it up? Hurry up and take the superior to the office to rest."

In her embrace, Yu Zhibo's face was flushed, and he mumbled, "Getting close to the Director, is that what you call it? Is clinging to powerful people considered getting close?"

Then came some explanations, such as helping the superior recover from his illness, or the Director favoring Team Three because of him, which made the three women burst into laughter. The archives were filled with a cheerful atmosphere.

After the laughter subsided, Wang Ange took the superior to his office to rest, while Si Junfang and Su Caiying took Yu Zhibo to familiarize him with the Sacred Bureau and meet the four members of Team Three who had already returned.

Meanwhile, Zhang Quan, having been implanted with a mental restraint by Lin Wanjun, was unable to reveal information about Yu Zhibo. His original plan to have the military commander invite Yu Zhibo to the military district to capture dark creatures was abandoned. He directly knocked on Lin Wanjun's office door.

He couldn't contact her otherwise. When he tried to use the Sacred app to message Lin Wanjun with his request, as soon as he picked up his phone, he forgot all information related to Yu Zhibo.

Mental restraint was that overbearing. Once implanted, one couldn't reveal the restrained information through speech or any electronic devices. To speak it, one could only do so when facing the caster in person.

"Come in!" a gentle voice came from the office.

Zhang Quan felt a little apprehensive. He was an awakened individual from the military district. Although he was in the Sacred Bureau, he still felt a stronger sense of belonging to the military. While the Director didn't treat him differently because of this, he still felt immense pressure whenever he faced her.

After all, Lin Wanjun could discern people's thoughts. Mental energy below B-class was completely unable to resist an A-class expert like Lin Wanjun's probing.

Perhaps only when he reached B-class could he face the Director calmly.

When the door opened, Zhang Quan stopped speaking and simply thought about what he wanted to say: "Director, let that newcomer help the military clean up some dark creatures."

As expected, Lin Wanjun instantly understood his thoughts and said with a smile, "I already know your intention. After all, the military are the guardians of the people. I would have arranged it even if you hadn't said anything. Rest assured, you may leave!"

"Yes, Director!" Zhang Quan, hearing this, felt as if he had been granted amnesty and didn't want to stay a moment longer. He saluted, turned, and marched out.

Sometimes reporting work to the Director was that simple, but having one's thoughts read was truly awkward.

Watching Zhang Quan close the door, Lin Wanjun shook her head and chuckled. She looked down at Yu Zhibo's profile, which detailed all his actions in the month before his awakening.

"I wonder how he realized that killing ghosts would lead to his awakening. Such a strange child." Lin Wanjun's lips curved into a smile as she saw Yu Zhibo report his Sharingan to the police, finding the scene quite dramatic.

Fortunately, that police officer diligently reported Yu Zhibo's information to the Sacred Bureau. He deserved commendation.

And in the future, they should also take seriously anyone claiming to have superpowers!

As for the black cat, it had miraculously survived after consuming the dark energy crystal of a C-class dark creature. However, seeing its spiritual nature and lack of demonic ferocity, it would make a good pet for Little Yu, so she wouldn't capture it for dissection and research.

Little Yu's parents also needed to be arranged for. The mayor would have to visit and provide ideological guidance. That residential area could no longer be lived in; they had to move to the Sacred Bureau's family housing.

As for Little Yu's sister, Yu Xiaoying, due to the limited number of bureau members, interns would be assigned to protect her in rotation, and any news could be reported immediately.

Lin Wanjun muttered to herself, using her authority to send task arrangements to the relevant departments. Then she stretched, her graceful figure fully displayed.

The bodies of A-class experts, having undergone psionic modification, could tear through space and were not susceptible to fatigue. However, there were too many matters in the Sacred Bureau, and everything required her personal attention, making mental fatigue inevitable.

After finishing everything, she looked up, her gaze seeming to pierce through infinite space, landing on the dark wormhole 20,000 meters above.

"It's about time. The number of dark creatures appearing in Ningcheng's wormhole has increased recently, and a few B-class individuals are stirring. I need to deal with them."
