The McMillan's voice rang out as the new chapter began, a clear indication that Price had contacted his old superior once again.
"He killed Soap."
Price's voice was heavier than ever. "He's dead, Mac."
McMillan's perfunctory attitude vanished on the other end of the communication. He asked seriously, "What do you need me to do?"
The conversation wasn't long. Price asked McMillan for information on a castle, a castle that Yuri had provided details about, where Makarov had previously hidden weapons.
McMillan didn't trust Yuri, but he believed in Price's judgment. Having obtained the accurate information, Price and Yuri parachuted near a castle in Prague during a rainy night.
After a series of intense battles led by Liu Peijia, they soon successfully infiltrated the castle, simultaneously planting a large amount of C4 on vehicles along their route.
They then continued deeper into the castle.
In the castle's control room, they witnessed Makarov's men monitoring the President of Country E. The president refused to yield, unwilling to hand over the nuclear launch codes.
However, Makarov knew that even presidents had weaknesses. He issued a stern warning: his men would soon capture the president's daughter in Berlin.
At the same time, traces of Price and Liu Peijia's infiltration were discovered within the castle, and a fierce battle was imminent.
Liu Peijia, filled with pent-up rage, unleashed it in the firefight, charging forward recklessly and venting his fury on the enemy.
Ultimately, by detonating the pre-planted C4, the two successfully escaped.
Upon receiving the new intelligence from Price, and with Makarov preparing to capture the president's daughter in Berlin, the US immediately dispatched Delta Force's Alloy team and another Granite team to rescue the president's daughter.
The Granite team was ambushed and wiped out upon arrival. Thus, the Alloy team was ordered to rendezvous with German forces to continue the rescue. However, the E army proved to be terrifyingly aggressive, directly bombing a building and burying the German forces.
Seeing the complete annihilation of the German forces, headquarters ordered the Alloy team to retreat. But "Sleepy" insisted on finding the president's daughter. Once this madman, Makarov, obtained the nuclear launch codes, the sacrifices would be far greater than what they were witnessing.
However, after overcoming immense hardships, they finally reached the apartment where the president's daughter was truly located. Captain "Sleepy" and Frost, the player-controlled character, were both blown away by a booby trap at the door.
Makarov seized the opportunity and abducted the president's daughter, declaring the rescue mission a failure.
Later, the president's daughter was taken to a mine in Siberia. The Alloy team, except for Frost, whose whereabouts were unknown, regrouped with members of Task Force 141 and continued their mission to rescue the president's daughter.
The long and arduous rescue mission gradually calmed the players' surging anger, but their hatred for Makarov deepened with time, even surpassing their animosity towards Shepherd.
In the end, under the cover of the Alloy team's complete sacrifice, Task Force 141 successfully evacuated the president and his daughter from the mine.
The rescued president resumed his duties, initiating full-scale peace talks with Western countries, and the war quickly ended.
Task Force 141, due to their meritorious service, had their bounties rescinded and their organizational status restored.
The main storyline of the game concluded successfully.
However, one person had yet to pay for his actions.
"War is simple. Attack is the only secret. With enough courage, the world will bow at your feet."
"They forget so quickly. Perhaps no one remembers who it was that changed history."
"Prisoner 6-2-7, I'm coming for you, Makarov."
As soon as Price finished speaking, the voice of the other man echoed from the communication line, "Didn't you hear, Price? They said the war is over."
"My war ends with you."
Makarov scoffed, "Is that what Captain MacMillan said as well? Tell me, Price, how long did he last before he died?"
Boom!!!
