Chapter 510 - 23: Luo Ge Xian Ni_2

Chapter 510: Chapter 23: Luo Ge Xian Ni_2

Gray was fiddling with the chess pieces in the middle of the board, looking stunned, with the soul fire in his eye sockets twisted into a question mark.

Jones nodded knowingly and said to Gray, "Our purpose this time was to cooperate with the Blood Elves. We needed their ore, we needed them to ramp up production. According to what we knew, this wouldn’t be an easy task. Blood Elves weren’t like the Blood Clan, who were commercial creatures. They weren’t hungry for gold coins. So, the price actually couldn’t affect their decision. We had to use some other means."

"Like what?"

"Like friendship."

"And then?"

Jones sighed helplessly and could only continue, "What I mean is, Uncle William couldn’t speak like he did when visiting High Court before. Blood Elves were a very conservative tribe. Maybe you were just joking, but they might take it seriously."

"But I wasn’t joking, I didn’t joke," Gray argued.

"That’s worse..." Belle helplessly rubbed her forehead.

"Alright, then I won’t speak, I won’t say anything," Gray shrugged and said in a very unwilling tone, "If there’s a problem, I’ll ask you privately, unless I get your permission, I won’t say a word. Will that work?"

Jones felt a bit apologetic for pushing an *Lich* like this, "There’s no need..."

"No! I think it’s excellent!" Before Jones could finish, Belle slapped the table loudly and interrupted, "After all, this time’s mission must succeed, if it fails, we won’t be able to get enough ore for a while. Without ore, we can’t produce weapons that enhance ordinary humans. Money is nothing, but the key is... they are fighting against those forces of injustice! We can’t let them down!"

Suddenly, everyone’s gaze in the cabin was drawn over, clearly shocked by Belle’s sudden loud voice.

Um... alright, everyone in the airship was wearing helmets except for Gray. Even Gray, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, showed no expression. So, as the author, I really didn’t know how to describe everyone’s expressions. Let’s just say, the atmosphere was a bit awkward. Or very awkward.

Moments later, Gray slowly clenched his fists and seriously said, "Yes, this mission couldn’t afford any mishaps! For justice, what’s a little grievance?"

Oh, Gray’s voice suddenly became loud too.

"Yes, that’s right, for justice!"

"For justice! We can definitely bring back the ore, we can surely reverse the situation across the continent! The future belongs to those who are upright and kind!"

"Yes, exactly!"

*The justifiable sides*... I mean Belle and Gray shook hands cordially.

Jones and Dora were dumbfounded.

After it was over, Belle quietly lifted her helmet and stuck out her tongue at Jones, revealing a smile.

Alright, to make *Lich* behave, indeed took some naive words. Belle figured this out very quickly.

...

The sky finally turned completely dark, stars twinkled all over, creating a dreamy beauty.

Under the moonlight, the horizon finally revealed Jones’s destination—Luo Ge Xian Ni. It was a long coastline, and on the coastline directly ahead, there were only a few scattered lights.

In fact, Luo Ge Xian Ni’s area was larger than the entire Isaac Kingdom.

The blood elves in the airship silently took off their armor and changed into everyday clothes.

Jones wore a brown formal suit, with hydra flower emblems embroidered on the collar, sleeves, and shoulders.

Dora wore a convenient short skirt of the same style as Jones, only the male and female version differences.

Belle was in a black long skirt with the Rizzo Family’s amethyst house emblem. As she had officially become a resident of Giant Snake City, her dress also bore the Nine-petal Snake Flower emblem on the chest.

Gray didn’t need to change, he continued wearing the white robe with Nine-petal Snake Flower and cross bone emblems. As for the attendants, they wore black formal suits with Nine-petal Snake Flower and amethyst emblems.

Soon, as the airship moved forward bit by bit, Jones finally saw the scattered lights clearly.

It was a port, not very large. There were about dozens of ships moored at the dock, some of which were fishing boats. As for the small town by the dock, it looked like just a town-scale.

Speaking of it, the scale of Salted Fish Port was probably much larger than this, even before Gray took over earlier, Salted Fish Port was larger.

Jones couldn’t help but feel puzzled, "Is this Luo Ge Xian Ni’s largest port?"

"Yes. Luo Ge Xian Ni only had four ports in total," Belle answered softly from the side, "The other three were military ports. The only port used for trade was this one, our trade usually happened here. Blood Elves had very little foreign trade to begin with, for ore trade, a particularly large port wasn’t needed, right? A single ship could hold millions of raw stones."

"I was merely surprised that Elf Clan’s largest port was only this big, their population wasn’t considered small."

"Seems there’s tens of thousands of them, not small, but not large either. Of course, the key was they didn’t have much interest in trade."

The goblins in the power room chattered noisily as the four propellers began to decelerate in reverse.

The airship gradually descended, heading towards a tall wooden frame at the dock. It was the only place here for docking airships, in fact, it hadn’t been used for several years. Elves didn’t use airships, and crossing the sea with airships carried risks. So this was normal.

Workers on the wooden frame yelled distant greetings to the goblins on the airship. The goblins responded by throwing down several ropes. Then the workers pulled the ropes to the gears, started forcefully pulling to help dock the airship.

"All humans?" Seeing the faces of the workers, Jones was stunned, "I thought Blood Elves hated humans intensely, yet humans lived here?"

"This was the only place in Luo Ge Xian Ni where humans lived. Normally, humans weren’t allowed to enter Luo Ge Xian Ni’s inland. They survived by fishing and serving as intermediaries for Blood Elves’ foreign trade. I think Blood Elves probably wanted to prove that they weren’t blinded by hatred as Wood Elves said, so they kept these humans. Actually, I don’t know. These humans had lived here for generations, for over four thousand years. But frankly, they had no dealings with Blood Elves, they were just cargo movers in trade. True trade must still be handled by Blood Elves."

The gangway was quickly built.

The hatch opened, Jones led the group down the gangway.

Before they even descended the wooden frame, Jones saw two elves in black leather armor greeting him from afar.

He nodded politely and returned the greeting.

They were a male and female Blood Elf, both had black long hair like Andrew, and pointed ears. Both carried short swords, long bows, and quivers.

The male had a tall figure, long limbs, a handsome face, with eyebrows that looked like swords.

The female also had a tall figure, long limbs, a stern yet exquisite face, and distant eyes with a dreamy feel.

Behind them were several adorned white unicorns with manes reaching their knees, equipped with saddles which were very luxurious.

In the night, surrounded by torchlight, the scene looked like a memory.

Walking forward, Jones reached their presence.

The female elf bowed to Jones again, respectfully saying, "Honorable Lord of Giant Snake City, Sir Hydra Knight, liberator of elf slaves, Luo Ge Xian Ni welcomes your arrival. I am your guide arranged by Lady Cornelia, my name is Dariana."

"I am the assistant, Jiaais," the male Blood Elf said softly, "Welcome."

Saying that, they nodded to everyone behind Jones.

Everyone silently returned the greeting.

"It is an honor to be granted permission to come to Luo Ge Xian Ni," Jones smiled and replied.
