Chapter 182: Chapter 182: Gu Shiting’s Jealousy
It’s the weekend again.
The winter in Jiangnan is often rainy, but this weekend is unusually clear with a blue sky as if washed clean.
The not yet fully closed curtain was lifted by the wind, sending a chill into the room, and the sun took the opportunity to sneak in, casting mottled circles of light on the floor.
Gu Shiting woke up and stood by the window, looking at the slightly empty golf course outside.
He was dazed for a few seconds, then called Sheng Tang.
Sheng Tang took a long time to answer.
She sounded a bit breathless: "Senior?"
"What are you doing?"
"My dad took us to the university to play ball." Sheng Tang laughed, "It’s rare to have good weather, and today Dazhou and Xiao Zhou brothers accompanied us."
Gu Shiting: "..."
Who are Dazhou and Xiao Zhou?
His eyebrows twitched. His intense possessiveness was almost spilling over to Sheng Tang through the phone.
"Geological University?"
"Yes, not in the sports center, on the small playground next to the fifth canteen," Sheng Tang said.
The noise on the other end of the phone was loud, and it sounded like someone had called "Junior Sister."
"Coming, coming," Sheng Tang replied hurriedly, "We’ll talk tonight."
The call was cut off.
Gu Shiting: "...."
A storm arose in his heart without reason, sweeping across his entire mind, setting off great waves that left him breathless and uneasy.
He changed into casual clothes, grabbed a light down jacket and a scarf, and called Song Chen: "Drive to the Geological University."
Song Chen: "Now?"
"Yes."
Song Chen asked him to wait a moment, and soon drove the car out of the underground garage.
Gu Shiting got in the car without a word.
Song Chen glanced at him through the rearview mirror: "Is there an event over there today?"
"No," Gu Shiting said succinctly, "Tangtang is over there."
Song Chen understood.
The car was quite fast, and although there was some traffic, it took only an hour to reach the Geological University.
Non-university vehicles couldn’t enter the Geological University, so Song Chen made a call and within five minutes, someone came to guide their car inside smoothly.
"Head to the playground next to the fifth canteen," Gu Shiting said.
On Saturday mornings, there weren’t many people on the school’s roads. The students were likely catching up on sleep and would only come out for activities in the evening.
From a distance, Song Chen saw the small playground surrounded by fences, with seven or eight basketball hoops.
There were people under three of the hoops.
Under one of the hoops, the largest group had about seven or eight people.
Sheng Tang was among them.
Song Chen parked the car to the side.
The open space between the fifth canteen and the playground had a huge phoenix tree, its branches covering the whole road with only thin fragments of sunlight making their way through.
He stood under the tree, watching Sheng Tang and the others.
Sheng Tang turned around occasionally and saw the person under the tree.
At first, she didn’t recognize that it was Gu Shiting, she just thought the person was very good-looking, standing tall with long legs, wearing a black down jacket, wrapping a dark coffee-colored scarf, his hair neatly combed, thick and black, with a faint halo in the sunlight.
He was tall and standing there, he exuded a strong presence that was hard to ignore.
Luckily, there weren’t many people on the road, otherwise, the girls would probably keep looking back at him frequently.
Sheng Tang looked on, not seeing his face clearly, and just thought to herself: What a handsome man, comparable to Gu Shiting.
Then she thought: Hey, something seems off.
She stopped to take a closer look.
Who else could it be if not Gu Shiting?
She was slightly surprised and stopped.
The others noticed her gaze and also stopped, looking in that direction.
The man under the tree came into everyone’s view.
