Ban Xiu Qing Feng

Chapter 3 A Restless Heart

The person who arrived was Sun Guihua, the wife of the village chief Wang Damao. She was carrying a bag in her hand.

Sun Guihua was ten years younger than Wang Damao, in her early thirties, and quite beautiful.

Thanks to good skincare, she looked like a girl in her early twenties, but with more feminine charm.

In the heat of summer, she still liked to wear thin silk stockings on her legs and a jade-green dress. As she walked, her dress swayed, making her appear very beautiful and alluring.

Especially her voluptuous figure, with curves in all the right places, made countless people secretly swallow their saliva.

It was truly a mystery how such a beautiful woman had fallen for Wang Damao.

What was even more baffling was that Wang Damao, despite having such a beautiful wife, was still outrageously lecherous.

However, thinking about it, facing the same face every day could eventually lead to boredom.

Wu Tian asked, "Auntie, what brings you to my house?"

"Xiao Tian, my chest hurts a bit. Can you take a look for me?" Sun Guihua said with a smile.

Sun Guihua had a pair of peach blossom eyes, and when she smiled at you, it was hard to refuse her requests.

"This doesn't seem appropriate," Wu Tian said hesitantly.

Sun Guihua grabbed Wu Tian's hand and said, "What's inappropriate about it? I'm not a young girl anymore."

With that, Sun Guihua placed Wu Tian's hand on her chest.

To be honest, Sun Guihua's breasts were quite large. Wu Tian felt like he was touching a ball of cotton.

However, thanks to his miraculous medical skills, Wu Tian quickly realized that Sun Guihua's body was very healthy, with no underlying issues.

So Wu Tian said, "Auntie, there's nothing wrong with your chest."

"Yes, there's nothing wrong with my chest," Sun Guihua said with a cold laugh. "The problem is with you now."

As she spoke, Sun Guihua took out her phone and took a few pictures.

"What problem do I have?" Wu Tian asked, confused.

"You touched my chest, which is considered indecent assault. I can report you!" Sun Guihua said coldly.

Wu Tian quickly withdrew his hand and asked, "Auntie, what exactly do you mean?"

"Alright, I'll tell you what I mean."

"You went crazy last night and beat up my man like that. I want revenge..." Sun Guihua said loudly.

"What?" Wu Tian said incredulously.

Sun Guihua said, "You'll pay me ten thousand yuan obediently now."

"This is extortion!" Wu Tian exclaimed.

"After all, I have photos on my phone of you touching my chest. Do you think the police will believe me or you?" Sun Guihua said with a hint of mockery.

Sun Guihua had a point. It was like mud falling into a dung pit; whether it was or wasn't, it looked like it.

Seeing Wu Tian stunned, Sun Guihua said, "I know you don't have ten thousand yuan right now. How about this, give me a few thousand first, and the rest can be paid later."

"Auntie, do you know why I beat up Wang Damao last night?" Wu Tian asked.

"I don't know," Sun Guihua shook her head.

She continued, "But it's a fact that you hit him. He's the village chief of Peach Blossom Village. Asking you for ten thousand yuan isn't excessive, is it?"

"Auntie, you've got it wrong. I hit him because he bullied Sister Bai Xue," Wu Tian said.

As he spoke, Wu Tian briefly recounted what had happened the previous night to Sun Guihua.

After listening, Sun Guihua crossed her arms and her expression became uncertain.

She looked at Wu Tian with some suspicion and asked, "You're not lying to me, are you?"

"Everything I've said is true," Wu Tian replied. "If you don't believe me, you can ask Bai Xue."

At this point, Sun Guihua fell silent.

After a moment of silence, she said, "Forget it, I won't ask. I believe you about this."

It seemed Sun Guihua also had serious doubts about Wang Damao's character, as they often argued.

Wu Tian smiled and asked, "Do you still want the ten thousand yuan?"

"No," Sun Guihua replied, blushing.

After saying that, Sun Guihua added, "Your Uncle Wang drank last night and was probably acting out. Don't go around saying anything about it."

"Alright, I can keep it a secret," Wu Tian nodded.

"Thank you," Sun Guihua said with a smile.

"You're welcome," Wu Tian replied. "Um, Auntie, if you stay at my house for too long, Wang Damao will get jealous. You should probably head back soon."

Sun Guihua nodded and said, "Okay, you have a point. I'll be going then."

With that, Sun Guihua deleted the photos on her phone and left Wu Tian's house.

After Sun Guihua left, Wu Tian slung a basket over his shoulder and planned to go up the mountain to gather herbs.

This time, Wu Tian intended to see if he could find some valuable herbs on the mountain.

If he could find any, then Sister Bai's debt to Wang Damao would have a solution.

As the village doctor of Peach Blossom Village, Wu Tian often went up the mountain to gather herbs, so he was quite familiar with the terrain.

Soon, Wu Tian reached the mountain and began his herb gathering.

However, the herbs on the back mountain had mostly been collected by Wu Tian, and he needed to go deeper into the mountains to find more.

So Wu Tian carried his basket and walked into the deeper parts of the mountain.

Not long after, Wu Tian found his path blocked by a swamp.

The swamp was over ten meters wide, and its extent in both directions was unknown. It was impossible to go around.

Moreover, the swamp was covered with poisonous insects and snakes, which looked quite frightening.

However, Wu Tian attempted to jump across the swamp and, to his surprise, managed to clear it in a single leap.

Wu Tian thought to himself that his agility was truly remarkable.

At this point, Wu Tian began searching the ground for herbs.

Soon, under a pine tree, Wu Tian discovered a well-grown Ganoderma lucidum.

This Ganoderma was very large; it would likely fill half of his basket.

Ganoderma lucidum was a very precious herb, known for its benefits in nourishing the body and clearing heat and toxins, and was highly sought after by wealthy individuals in the city.

He couldn't believe his luck today, finding such a large Ganoderma.

Wu Tian suppressed his excitement, first lining his basket with grass, and then carefully picked the Ganoderma, placing it inside.

Wu Tian thought that this Ganoderma would definitely fetch a good price.

Then, Sister Bai's fifty thousand yuan debt to Wang Damao would be settled.

However, Wu Tian had also considered that Wang Fugui had only borrowed twenty thousand yuan from Wang Damao.

Even if he had to repay it, it would certainly not be fifty thousand. At most, it would be with a small amount of interest, not an exorbitant sum.

So Wu Tian, carrying the Ganoderma in his basket, headed towards the town.

About half an hour later, Wu Tian arrived in town.

Wu Tian was familiar with the pharmacies in town, as there were only two of them.

The owner of one of the pharmacies was a man who looked a bit lecherous and sleazy.

This fellow liked to hold his phone and stare intently at vulgar content, almost drooling onto the screen.

Wu Tian felt that dealing with such a person wouldn't be ideal, as he would likely try to lowball him.

Therefore, Wu Tian went directly to the other pharmacy.
