Chapter 635: The Birth of an Unknown God Shakes the Heavens

Meanwhile, in the Divine Realm.

The moment Asmodeus awakened, the lower heavens shook with a dangerous quake, causing the dozens of weak deities with low ranks to panic. His Divine pressure was so intense that many of them collapsed and foamed at the mouth.

“How can this be!?” A handsome male holding a harp trembled, his fingers bleeding from the rapidly vibrating strings. “My harp… betrayed me!?” The god of music and entertainment, Yasus, gasped.

The harp, an instrument of his soul, but with the dark, violent aura invading the lower heavens, shattered that bond, and part of his soul became another’s as the harp stained black and deformed into a weird shape.

A wooden base shaped like an upside-down V, a long, narrow neck with a sharp-angled tip and six strings… “What is this!?”

While the gods lost connection to their soul items that lingered around the heavens, the many guardians who protected the entrance to divine lands rushed around in panic.

“Who is the enemy!?”

“Is Lord Mephisto having another tantrum?”

A beautiful beastkin goddess lay on a soft bed, her tail and ears flicking in the air as she listened to the lesser gods complain and cry for help. “Well now~ it seems that boy really did something interesting.”

Her eyes remained focused on a small pool beside her cushioned bedding. Inside the reflection of the human world appeared. Knights, orcs, elves, and beastmen all working together brought a smile to the goddess’s lips. “I should have made a move when I had the chance. Instead, Serena got to gobble him all up….”

“Why are you lounging around when all three Heavens are in such a state?” A bitter, sharp voice called out from the doorway. Another beautiful beastkin called out to the lazy woman on the bed of pillows. “Don’t you know, the council are in uproar.”

“Hmm…? Why would they be in uproar?” The lazy goddess rolled onto her side, a large pair of bountiful breasts drooping to the side.

“They say a mortal has usurped a god’s power, and has broken the divine laws.” The second beauty giggled while licking her lower lip. “They say he stole Mephisto and Serena’s powers, that must be one powerful man.”

“Close your legs, slut.”

“Listen, miss god of Battle… If a man that powerful becomes a god, you have to spread as far as you can, or you’ll end up useless trash for eternity!”

“As expected of the goddess of beasts~~~ how open!”

“Fuck off, we both know you’d squat on his shaft if he so much as dropped his pants. Isn’t that why you’ve stalked him since he left Grigor?”

The goddess on the bed rolled on her back, glaring at the goddess of Beastkin. Her moment of disgust created hundreds of blades that formed around the other woman. “Watch your mouth, if not for me he would have died a dozen times by now!”

“Hahaha~ but you didn’t try to speak to him, so all he knows is Serena. Ah? Is it because you’re a virgin, even after 10,000 years!?”

The Beastkin didn’t show any sort of fear at the blades. Instead, she let out a low growl, causing the blades to bend and crumble into balls of iron.

Clack-Clack!

Before the goddess of war could attack, the sound of high heels tapping the ground echoed, and only one goddess in the middle heavens wore those. “Tsk…” The goddess of war clicked her tongue. “Why are those annoying girls here?”

“Oh… I forgot that boy also seduced the elven gods.”

Unlike the goddess of war, the goddess of Beastkin shrugged and turned to the opposite wall, where a door formed and the silhouettes of two girls appeared.

One with black hair and fair skin, the other with light hair and dark skin, both beautiful elven women, a dark elf and a high elf holding hands.

“What does the goddess of the world tree want with us?” She asked sarcastically, while feeling worried about the crazy twins doing something.

“Ehehe~ our beloved big brother managed to do it!” The high elf giggled, smaller than the cold dark elf who watched silently. “He’s so cool, right?”

The goddess of war huffed, but didn’t deny it. “Well, even if he’s cool. Those old bastards won’t leave him alone, right?”

Above the gods that overlooked various parts of the world, some gods managed the other gods themselves. The true creators of the world, able to snuff out lesser deities with the snap of their fingers.

“Sister… will those bad guys hurt Ryuji?” The high elf asked her dark elf twin.

“Hah? As if those insects have the guts. That man will never lose, don’t look so upset.”

“Ehehe~ I thought so.”

All four deities looked at each other, observing and judging the level of their rivals. The goddess of battle supported the mortal Ryuji Vincenzo from the moment they summoned him to Grigor. She gave him the berserker class. After he treated Yumiko so affectionately, the goddess of Beastkin helped increase his affinity with beasts and beastkin.

As for the elves…

“He’s the one who saved us~ without darling we’d have perished, hehe.”

The high elf, a picture of brightness and joy, bragged, while the dark elf showed a warm, gentle smile, remaining quiet.

“It’s going to get a little serious… if those old guys take action before his divinity stabilises…” The goddess of war shifted in her bed before sitting up and sliding off the side, grabbing a bottle of strong liquor.

“Does that mean you’re going to help him? Isn’t that a foolish errand, even for you?” The Beastkin goddess held a great affection for the goddess of war, once one of her believers, now her sister; she couldn’t stop worrying.

“He brought together the orcs, goblins and humans into one army. Since coming to this world, he’s boosted my believers almost tenfold. How can I not find him lovely?” Her lips curled into a faint smile. The goddess of war’s expression shocked the other gods.

“You’ve not smiled like that since the old days… Ishtar…”

“Don’t be so silly, Luna. Since I became the goddess of beauty, and took the open position for goddess of war doesn’t mean I lack emotions.”

“Hmph…”

Thanks to Asmodeus, the former god of war, lost his powers when the goddess of peace, Helena, broke up with him and became corrupted. She took on the position of the Goddess of War mantle, along with her former title of beauty.

“Arista, we should go back down and prepare… he will need help if things get worse.”

Stella opened her lazy eyes and gazed at the other two gods.

She showed no sense of inferiority and returned to her sleepy state, dragging the high elf back into the doorway they had entered.

Aristella, a special goddess who carried multiple titles, is the goddess and world tree that was older than all the other gods except the ones who created the world. Goddess of the elves, the world tree and bountiful harvests.

The other deities faded from the chamber one by one, their laughter and sharp words lingering in the air like smoke. Only the goddess of war and the goddess of beasts remained, facing each other across the trembling divine hall.

After the initial explosion of divine pressure, the warnings and shaking of the sacred land stopped, leaving Luna and Ishtar in silence.

Ishtar poured herself a glass of the strong liquor, swirling it lazily as if the heavens themselves weren’t splitting from the shock of Asmodeus’ awakening. Her golden eyes softened in a way Luna had never seen before.

“That boy has done what none of us dared,” Ishtar said, her voice low. “He severed the chains of divinity binding him to their rules and laws… and took another path. The others will call it blasphemy. But to me…” She gulped the sweet alcohol, her lips curling into a smirk. “…to me it’s beautiful.”

Luna’s lips trembled as she folded her arms. Although affectionate towards the young boy, she watched Ishtar in silence, her tail swishing in agitation. “You always fall for reckless warriors. But this time it’s different, Ishtar. He isn’t just a mortal anymore. He isn’t just a demon king. What he’s becoming is something we cannot understand…”

“And yet you want him,” Ishtar replied without hesitation.

Luna froze, ears flicking, heat rushing to her cheeks. “Don’t speak nonsense. I only—”

“Watch him for amusement. Don’t lie, you can’t fool me Luna. We’ve been together aeons, we’re practically siblings at this point.” Ishtar interrupted smoothly. She set the cup down, eyes narrowing with a rare sharpness.”I saw how you guided the sacred beasts to help him, to accept and guide him when he became lost. You used so much divine power to alter his terrible fate. Don’t act as if you’re impartial.”

Luna’s throat tightened. She wanted to deny it, to bare her fangs and lash out as she always did. But the memory of Ryuji’s smile, the way he had stroked Yumiko’s hair so gently, the way he commanded armies with both fear and love… it all silenced her.

“…He doesn’t even know my our names, or that we exist, hahaha.” Luna whispered while laughing at herself.

Ishtar stepped closer, laying a hand on her sister’s shoulder. “And yet you’ve already given him your heart. Foolish girl.”

“Look who’s talking,” Luna shot back, eyes glistening despite her smirk. “You call him lovely. You, the cold goddess of war, smiling like a maiden for the first time in all your life. Don’t pretend you’re any different.”

The silent room filled with the distant rumbling thunder of Asmodeus and his divine pressure, both women looking at each other with bitter expressions.

Then Ishtar laughed, soft but genuine. “Perhaps we’re both fools. But fools or not, I will act. I’ll lend him my strength, even if it means the Council brands me a traitor.”

Luna’s chest ached. She turned her head away, ears trembling. “If you fall, don’t expect me to weep for you.”

Ishtar’s smile only deepened. “Liar.”

Above them, the heavens shook again. The black pulse of a Demon Core rippled through every layer of divinity, rewriting laws that had stood since creation.

Both goddesses felt it settle deep in their bones.

Asmodeus wasn’t normal… his power was familiar yet strange, and the biggest issue was that his existence defied the gods.

“The god of demons…” Ishtar mumbled.

“The Demon God?” Luna added with a smile.

“It suits that devilish boy, seducing these pure-hearted old women.”

“Well his mother was that Lilith…”

“I miss that cheeky girl.”
