Before following Ye Ziyu to Sijiucheng, he had no grievances with Ye Shaoting, not even any interaction. Later, when he accompanied her to the Ye family, he became Ye Ziyu's nominal and biological elder brother. Out of love for her, he outwardly showed respect to Ye Shaoting. Even when Gu's company extended an olive branch for cooperation, he refused it to avoid hindering the Ye Corporation's development.
Yet, his continuous forbearance and care had ultimately provided them with an opportunity to betray him. Knowing that Ye Ziyu was his legal wife and that they had conceived three children, Ye Shaoting had secretly helped Gu Xiuyu undermine their marital relationship.
