Ye Chenhan asked Ye Ziyu to cover for him today, as he had a performance and couldn't make it.
After hanging up the phone, Ye Ziyu looked up at the camera and fell into thought.
It had been a week; Ye Qianzhi shouldn't be sitting in front of the monitor watching them every day.
To provide cover, she took action. Standing up from her chair, she followed the camera's position and pulled out its dedicated plug. This caused the camera to stop working.
Clapping her hands, Ye Ziyu placed her hands on her hips and tilted her head up to check if the camera was still flashing red. Confirming the plug was correct, she returned to her desk to continue reviewing documents.
An hour passed, and she had completed half of the work.
Just as she was about to finish, the office landline rang.
She casually picked up the receiver, and Ye Shaoting's voice came through.
"Ziyu, come to my office."
The call didn't provide details, and Ye Ziyu, filled with confusion, went to Ye Shaoting's office.
After knocking, she quickly received a response from inside.
Pushing the door open, she saw Ye Shaoting picking up his coat, appearing ready to leave.
"Brother, you were looking for me?" Ye Ziyu asked.
As soon as she finished speaking, the assistant outside the door entered.
"The car is downstairs."
Ye Shaoting walked over to Ye Ziyu. "I'm going across the street, want to go together?"
Across the street?
That was Di Mingjue's company.
Ye Ziyu, not understanding, inquired, "Is there a collaboration between Ye's and Di Jue Group?"
"As family, he hasn't had time to help when he's busy. I happen to be free today, so I'll go and show my support," Ye Shaoting explained.
So it was a misunderstanding!
Ye Ziyu nodded and followed Ye Shaoting downstairs.
However, she was puzzled. If they were going across the street, which was just one block away, why did they need to drive?
Upon reaching the first-floor lobby, the security guard at the entrance opened the car door. Ye Shaoting got into the driver's seat, waiting for Ye Ziyu to get in.
After hesitating between the front passenger seat and the back seat, Ye Ziyu chose the front passenger seat.
She fastened her seatbelt and watched as the car drove forward.
As they passed the commercial building across the street, Ye Shaoting did not stop but drove away directly.
After thinking for a moment, she couldn't help but ask, "Aren't we going to see Mingjue?"
When she went downstairs, Ye Ziyu had already sent Di Mingjue a message informing him.
Di Mingjue was now waiting downstairs for their arrival.
The car continued to drive forward, passed two traffic lights, and stopped in front of a flower shop.
"Wait for me here." Ye Shaoting got out of the car and entered the flower shop. A few minutes later, he came out holding two bouquets of flowers.
Ye Ziyu grew even more confused.
The bouquets were placed in the back seat, and Ye Shaoting turned the car around, heading back.
This time, the car stopped in front of the building where Di Jue Group was located.
Upon seeing Ye Shaoting's car, Di Mingjue stepped forward and opened the car door for Ye Ziyu.
Looking at Di Mingjue, who had come down early, Ye Shaoting glanced at Ye Ziyu.
"Zi Yu mentioned you were coming, so I came down to greet you," Di Mingjue explained to Ye Shaoting on behalf of Ye Ziyu.
Ye Shaoting smiled and opened the back door, taking out one of the bouquets. "Congratulations."
"You're too kind," Di Mingjue replied, accepting them with both hands and leading them upstairs.
This was merely a branch company; the number of employees and the company's area could not compare to Ye's across the street.
Ye Shaoting toured the company and generously praised it, "Not bad, the equipment is quite complete. As expected of the rumored exceptionally capable CEO Di."
"You jest. If we were to truly compare, I might not measure up to you," Di Mingjue replied. During his time in Si Jiu City, he had heard quite a bit about the Ye family.
The Ye Group was a company that everyone in Si Jiu City wanted to cooperate with, yet also feared cooperating with. Especially the three sons of the Ye family, who had a reputation in the business circles.
Fast, accurate, and ruthless were the words used to describe them. Once a good project appeared, they would pounce like wolves, seizing the opportunity first.
