Chapter 217 Ugly Cat

Luo Qi was stunned, "Subvert... here?"

111 replied, "No, everywhere."

It seemed to be suppressing its anger. In the hearts of all systems, the main system was the supreme existence.

A rebellious system like Mo Jue's would only be the common enemy of all systems. They would spare no effort to eliminate it.

111 continued, "This system has already destroyed many worlds before this space."

The main system had many subordinate worlds, both large and small. Some were like the future interstellar world Luo Qi was currently in, while others were past worlds even older than Gu Di Star. It was like beads strung on a thread; if one bead was crushed, it would inevitably affect other worlds, and ultimately the entire main system. This was its objective.

One had to admit, this system was quite capable. Its previous destructions were seamless until a problem appeared in the main system's entire network, and it discovered the issue. Coincidentally, the world it had infiltrated was Luo Qi's world. Its ultimate goal was to kill Luo Qi.

111 looked at Luo Qi's bewildered eyes on the screen. It actually had more to tell Luo Qi; this world was almost revolving around Luo Qi. If Luo Qi hadn't transmigrated, the insect egg born from the mother tree would have been a dead egg. For a very long time, the insect race would not have any new cubs. The Insect King and all insect races would gradually lose their sanity. No matter how vast the territory, how powerful the combat strength, or how mysterious the abilities, without an heir and a future, it would all be in vain.

In the original timeline, a bleak future loomed over every insect. Cecy was far from being as rational, or even as gentle, as he was now. They spent a long time trying to have a cub but ultimately gained nothing. Eventually, violent and resentful emotions enveloped every insect, and they finally erupted in day-after-day disappointment, launching interstellar wars. The insect race was inherently a race with little reason. Cecy reigned supreme over all interstellar races and planets. Since they had no future, they would make the word "future" disappear completely. The insect race was that brutal.

111 withdrew its gaze, looking at Luo Qi, who seemed immersed in a state of bewilderment. Perhaps it wasn't just about the birth of an insect cub, but also because he was Luo Qi. 111 once again agreed with the main system's choice in its heart.

Luo Qi thought for a moment and asked, "So, do we need to destroy it? What do I need to do?"

111 replied, "Its actions are all very cautious. It only makes small changes to minor details in the world each time. We also cannot violate the world's timeline or be discovered by others."

Luo Qi understood. Besides Mo Jue and himself, no one else in this world would know about this system's existence. They also had to be careful not to let others know this secret. With such advanced technology and many intelligent people, it was hard to guarantee that no one would guess the system's true origin. Luo Qi felt a headache coming on. "So, does that mean we can't actively look for it? We can only wait and see?"

111 was even angrier than Luo Qi, but it was helpless. It was an ironclad rule that no one outside the host in the small world could know about the system's existence, and it absolutely could not be violated.

111's tone was serious, "So, from now on, you must do your best to improve your strength. Judging by its choice to help Mo Jue, it will likely hide behind Mo Jue and cause trouble in this world. You must defeat Mo Jue to expose that defective product."

Luo Qi nodded seriously, "I will work hard." If Mo Jue had never appeared, this matter might have ended with them suffering in silence, but now that he knew about it, dealing with Mo Jue would be simpler. Luo Qi exhaled, contemplating how to tell Ye Mu about this.

Just then, 111 suddenly coughed and spoke, sounding a little embarrassed, "Due to the suddenness of this incident, the main system has prepared a body for me to use until the synthetic human body is completed."

Luo Qi's eyes lit up, "That's great!"

111's voice was strained, "However, this body is not human."

Luo Qi was surprised, "Then what is it?" He thought for a moment and smiled, "It's okay if it's not human. Is it some small animal?" He was quite curious what 111 would look like if it could appear.

111's voice was dejected, with a hint of self-abandonment, "It's a cat."

Luo Qi exclaimed, "That's perfect! I'll raise you from now on. I quite like kittens."

111 was silent for a long time.

Luo Qi found it strange, "What's wrong with being a cat? Don't you like it?"

111 gritted its teeth, "Let's be clear, I didn't choose this body. The main system just assigned me whatever usable body it had left."

Luo Qi nodded, "It's okay, do you dislike cats?"

111 continued, "You said you would raise me, and I will be following you from now on. You can't go back on your word."

Luo Qi was still aware of 111's nature. Hearing this, he suddenly had a bad premonition, "What kind of cat are you?"

A white light flashed before Luo Qi, and a furball suddenly appeared on the floor in the center of the dormitory. It was a black and white cat curled up, its fur messy, like a sesame ball that had leaked its filling. It looked up at Luo Qi, its facial fur even more disheveled, standing up haphazardly. Its eyes, too small for a cat, were embedded in its face. The fur on its face was also black and white. One eye socket was pure black, and its mouth was pouting, like a little mouse that had just crawled out of a hole. It was distinctly ugly.

Luo Qi's vision went dark. He somewhat understood why this body was left behind; it wasn't a spare, but rather too ugly for anyone to want.

The ugly cat spoke human words. If not for the black and white fur on its face, its face would have turned completely red. "Cats sold are final, no returns or exchanges."

Luo Qi: "..." Fine.

He sighed and picked up the ugly cat from the floor, reaching out to stroke its fur. The black and white fur stood out distinctly, each strand with a mind of its own. Luo Qi, torn between laughter and tears, gave up on the idea of smoothing its fur. He thought for a moment and asked, "You're in a cat's body now, can you eat human food?"

111 thought for a moment and nodded, its tail unconsciously wagging.

Luo Qi nodded, "Then let's go home first today. I'll have the chef make you something delicious, and I'll also tell Ye Mu about this matter."

111's cat eyes brightened, "Great!"
