Chapter 147 Mo Jue

Ye Yun sat in the furthest corner of the sofa, shaking out the newspaper, a smile in his eyes as he looked at Luo Qi and Ye Mu, who were sprawled across the sofa.

The two little cubs were enjoying themselves immensely. Beside the sofa was a low coffee table, laden with their favorite snacks and small fruits.

On the screen directly opposite the sofa, an animated cartoon played, one that Ye Mu would normally never watch. However, Luo Qi was engrossed in it.

Normally, Ye Yun would never indulge the children in such laziness. But he understood the importance of balancing work and rest. Moreover, they were leaving for Bella Star that afternoon, so he turned a blind eye.

However, it was clear that Ye Yun was the only one in the family who saw the children’s indulgence as a result of his kind leniency. The other two masters of the house felt this was still not enough.

Madame Ye, in her plush slippers, also moved about with great haste. She would check on the soup simmering in the kitchen, then go upstairs to see if that silly Ye Qi had packed Luo Qi’s small toys properly.

Ye Yun rubbed the back of his head, attempting to call Madame Ye out of her pre-school anxiety.

He glanced at the two cubs, who were engrossed in the cartoon, completely oblivious to the impending start of school. They were so carefree.

Madame Ye, her footsteps hurried, managed to extract half a minute from her busy schedule to walk over to Ye Yun and smack him on the back of the head.

“It’s one thing if you’re not worried, but why aren’t you letting me pack for the children? Are they even your biological sons?”

Ye Qi came downstairs, carrying a large package. He placed it on the floor and showed it to Madame Ye, asking if there was anything else that needed to be brought.

Ye Yun glanced sideways. Indeed, plush toys made up more than half of the package. The rest were small trinkets unique to Earth.

There was also the soup simmering in the kitchen, tender and flavorful alien meat, which the little bug cub ate the most of at the Ye family’s home.

Ye Yun rubbed the back of his head. “You’re my wife, and you’re right. But do you even see how little this has to do with your biological son?”

Madame Ye looked at the package and felt there were still a few things missing. But then she thought that she could always bring them next time Luo Qi visited Earth. She turned and went to the kitchen to bring out the soup.

Ye Yun sighed helplessly, closed the newspaper, and set it aside. He stood up and said, “Alright, we need to get ready to leave.”

Luo Qi pouted, scrambled off the sofa, and pulled Ye Mu up. “Let’s go change.”

The two cubs ran off. Madame Ye handed the insulated soup container to Ye Yun and sat on the sofa, sighing. “Why do they have to go back to school after only a few days? Don’t schools understand parents’ feelings?”

Ye Yun slowly formed a question mark. They had already had a month off, twice a year. What more did she want?

He watched his wife, who usually let the cubs run wild, look so forlorn.

Hmph, don’t think I don’t know you just can’t bear to part with that little bug cub!

Ye Yun felt a pang of jealousy. Ever since the little bug cub arrived, he had to take a backseat in his wife’s heart. School starting was good; let the cubs leave!

The renowned General Ye felt a surge of anger. Being jealous of a four-year-old child, even if his emotional intelligence was low, he knew it would be embarrassing to admit.

The couple sat at opposite ends of the sofa, their thoughts racing in completely opposite directions.

Meanwhile, on a ship belonging to Planet Mo, tens of thousands of light-years away, a child who looked about four years old fiercely kicked someone on the ground.

Despite his young age, the kick showed that he had undergone basic training.

He was wearing soft long-sleeved and long-legged clothes, his arms and legs covered by fabric, only his exposed ankles and wrists were fair.

Looking down at the disheveled person on the ground with disdain, Mo Jue mockingly sneered, “As expected, trash only associates with trash. What kind of creature is he? I’ll see for myself.

As for you, even if he’s shown you some small kindness, you should know your own identity. Otherwise, I have plenty of ways to deal with you.”
