Luo Qi flew higher and higher, but Li Ya showed no signs of worry. Ye Mu, however, tightened his grip on the rope, though it still seemed… quite safe?
Luo Qi quickly reached the maximum length of the rope, already tens of meters in the air.
The rope was taut. The more panicked Luo Qi felt, the faster his wings flapped. Ye Mu had to hold on tightly to prevent Luo Qi from flying off the insect planet.
Li Ya looked up at Luo Qi from the ground and said loudly, "Little Highness, learn to control your wings. They are a part of your body."
In just a few minutes, Luo Qi had flown tens of meters above the ground. He was too scared to look down, forcing himself to process Li Ya's words.
Ye Mu looked up at Luo Qi with a hint of worry. Suddenly, something hit his head. He looked over and saw a ball of black cloth.
Li Ya smiled at him, but the smile seemed a bit mischievous.
"Human little cub, put this on."
Ye Mu curiously brushed away the black cloth. It was a strip of cloth about two fingers wide, just enough to cover his eyes.
Holding the rope tied to Luo Qi's waist with one hand, he asked with some uncertainty, "Now?"
Li Ya nodded with certainty, "Yes, the Little Highness can't control his wings yet. His safety is entirely in your hands."
Ye Mu's expression turned serious. Today's lesson was for Luo Qi and him to understand their bodies. What better way to control one's body than by losing sight?
Even though he knew Luo Qi would be safe even if he accidentally let go, Ye Mu's face instantly became solemn upon hearing Li Ya's words.
The rope tied to Luo Qi's waist was constantly shaking, likely from Luo Qi trying to control his wings.
Although he didn't quite understand why Luo Qi couldn't control his own wings, it seemed Luo Qi would need a lot more time.
If that was the case, then the rest was up to him.
Ye Mu wrapped the rope around his wrist and tied the black cloth over his eyes.
Li Ya nodded slightly, picked up a few small stones from the ground, and tossed them towards Ye Mu. Then, he slowly said, "Let's begin."
Sight is the first sense humans use to interact with the outside world, and it's the most important. Ye Mu stood still and was directly hit on the forehead by a few small stones.
Li Ya threw them with considerable force, and soon, a small bruise appeared on Ye Mu's forehead.
Losing sight felt terrible, especially with small stones flying from all directions. On top of that, Luo Qi had to prevent Luo Qi's rope from shaking too much. Initially, Ye Mu was overwhelmed.
Ye Mu forced himself to calm down. With his vision blocked, he had to rely on other senses: hearing, smell, and even touch.
He felt the subtle changes in the wind around him, listened to the sounds of the stones flying from all directions, and tried to dodge the seemingly omnipresent pebbles.
This process was difficult at first. Ye Mu felt the wind everywhere, and the stones hit his body, legs, and even his forehead.
But gradually, he began to dodge the stones aimed at his face, then his body. Slowly, out of ten stones, perhaps only seven or eight would hit him. httpδ:/m.kuAisugg.nět
The process was long, and Ye Mu was covered in bruises from the hits, but he was happy.
Li Ya looked at Ye Mu and chuckled softly. He suddenly noticed Ye Mu turn his head sharply in his direction, clearly having heard his laugh.
Li Ya raised an eyebrow, "Keep up the good work, young man."
Meanwhile, Luo Qi, tens of meters in the sky, was in a difficult pose, with one leg raised… watching the show.
Having an insectoid body had its advantages. At least Luo Qi could watch the spectacle from tens of meters up with perfect clarity.
As he watched, he complained to 111, "Tsk, dodging stones thrown from such tricky angles, Ye Mu is really amazing."
111 was speechless, "It's clearly a lesson for both of you, but why is there such a big difference? If Ye Mu wasn't holding onto you, you'd be flying to the horizon by now."
Luo Qi retorted, "You're talking nonsense. How do you know I'm not trying?"
111 sneered, "If you're trying, then show me you can fly freely if you have the ability."
Luo Qi shifted his position, like a rogue hydrogen balloon. He even felt that his wings weren't his own, more like a pre-programmed function that moved without him needing to exert any effort.
"If you suddenly grew two more arms, could you use them freely right away? Isn't that a stupid question?"
111 suddenly laughed, as if seeing something, "Looks like someone is more useful than me."
Luo Qi asked in confusion, "What… Ah!"
A small stone hit Luo Qi directly on the bottom.
Luo Qi's backside stung, and he felt it must be quite red.
He looked down. Li Ya was juggling two small stones in his hand and smiled when he saw Luo Qi's gaze, "Little Highness, don't be lazy."
