Chapter 135 The Silly Cub

Luoqi sat by the dining table eating freshly baked mini-cakes, while Ye Mu lay on the bed in the room receiving treatment from the palace doctor.

The doctor put away his examination equipment. Bosiah was right; Ye Mu wasn't seriously injured. He had merely fallen into a coma due to extreme exhaustion.

Ceci sat by the bed, frowning. "You're saying it was Luoluo who soothed Ye Mu's berserk mental power?"

Bosiah nodded. "That seems to be the case. However, we don't know if His Highness can only soothe Ye Mu, or if he has a calming effect on all mental powers."

Ceci rubbed his fingers together, somehow recalling the time someone had infiltrated Luoxi's room but inexplicably fell asleep there.

If that incident wasn't a coincidence, then Luoxi might indeed possess some unknown talent. However, this matter required rigorous verification, so he didn't say anything further.

Bosiah saw the palace doctor out. At the doorway, he encountered a little bug cub who had just finished eating cake and was looking expectantly.

He chuckled and picked up Luoluo. "Why the long face, Your Highness? Why don't you come in?"

Luoluo blinked his eyes. "Uncle Bosiah, where's Ye Mu? Is he okay?"

The chubby bug cub, without much sincerity, admitted his mistake. "Oh dear, it's all my fault for not paying attention in class. How could I fall asleep during class? If I hadn't slept, I might have been able to help Uncle Bosiah and Ye Mu sooner.

But I didn't mean to sleep (emphasis), it was because Uncle Andrew's training yesterday was too tiring."

Bosiah looked amusingly at the clever and spirited little cub in his arms. He deliberately put on a stern face and remained silent for a while before saying,

"Although Your Highness knows he made a mistake, you don't need to blame yourself excessively. Ye Mu, he… oh dear… this…"

Luoluo was stunned by this. What was going on? When he returned, he was told that Ye Mu shouldn't be in serious trouble, just exhausted and asleep. He had been sent away to eat mini-cakes first.

What was happening now? Bosiah's solemn expression and his hesitation to speak… did that mean Ye Mu was…

Luoluo was startled by his own guess. What if Ye Mu…

Luoluo: QAQ What is this earthly suffering? Why must a young cub bear such separation and death?

Bosiah had only intended to tease Luoluo a little. Luoluo usually seemed a bit slow and carefree, and for some reason, Bosiah always felt like teasing him.

Who would have thought that he would scare Luoluo so badly? Tears quickly welled up in his eyes, threatening to fall. Bosiah became flustered and anxious.

Luoluo sniffled, the sorrow of losing a friend overwhelming him. After holding back for a while, he couldn't help it. "Waaah!" he cried out, "Ye Mu! Why did this happen! I was wrong! I'll never sleep in class again!"

Ye Mu was the closest friend Luoluo had in both his past and present lives. Although only four years old, he had always acted like a little adult, proactively taking care of Luoluo, and they were inseparable at school. Their relationship was very close. How could he be lost like this!

Luoluo's grief surged, and he cried with snot and tears, barely hearing Bosiah's comforting words.

Such a commotion had long since alerted Ceci in the room. Ceci came out with a dark expression and saw his usually well-behaved cub crying with red-rimmed eyes and a flushed face, looking as pitiful as could be, and shouting something about Ye Mu not dying.

Ceci understood everything. He looked at Bosiah, who was flusteredly trying to comfort the child, and instead of getting angry, he smiled. He took Luoluo from Bosiah's arms and said in a voice as cold as ice, "Go find Aljer and accept your punishment yourself. I'll deal with you later."

Bosiah gave a wry smile. He had gone too far this time. He glanced at the little cub huddled in Ceci's arms, feeling immense regret. How could he not change this bad habit of his sharp tongue? Now, he probably wouldn't see Luoluo for a long time.

Ceci held Luoluo and sighed softly. "You believe anything anyone says? You're such an idiot."

Luoluo looked up at Ceci, confused. Ceci sighed, pushed open the door, and Luoluo immediately saw Ye Mu sitting on the bed, looking at the doorway with a bewildered expression.

The human cub on the bed, though appearing a bit tired, had a ruddy complexion and didn't look like someone on the verge of death at all.

Luoluo was about to speak when he let out a crying hiccup: "..." You make me look so foolish.
