Chapter 175 Politely Declined

Reva squinted as he sized up the person standing beneath the tree.

It was early autumn, but the weather hadn't fully cooled down in the location of the primary school.

Yet, this person looked frail, as if about to be blown away by the wind. His uniform seemed a size too big, hanging loosely on his frame.

He leaned against the trunk of the tree, completely covered by its massive canopy, his entire being hidden in the shade. He resembled the supervillains Reva had seen in movies.

And his words were equally villainous: "After being treated like that, don't you hate them? Aren't you angry? I can help you.

As long as you stand with me, I'll help you get justice, and I'll make those two brats regret it!"

Reva took half a step back as he watched the man grow increasingly frenzied. The other man continued to incite them:

"Don't you want revenge? Don't you want to crush those two under your feet?"

Reva frowned and looked at him, pondering for a moment, "Who exactly are you?"

The man coughed lightly, stepping out from the shade. He clasped his hands across his chest and said in a deep voice:

"My name is Mo Jue."

Reva exchanged glances with Ah Ming and Ah Liang. "Are you from the Mo race?"

Mo Jue nodded. "Since you know of the Mo race, you should know that we have the strength. If you..."

Reva raised his hand to stop Mo Jue, smiling slightly. "A polite refusal."

Mo Jue: "..."

He frowned at Reva. "Don't you want revenge? Are they bullying you like this?"

Reva rubbed his forehead and pointed to the few remaining insects on the ground:

"I have deeply recognized my mistakes. This was my fault. How could I harm these beautiful little lives like this?

Besides, Luo Qi and Ye Mu were doing it for my own good. They didn't even tell the teachers or parents. Although their methods were a bit extreme, I've realized my error.

Reva concluded, "So, in the end, I shouldn't just hate them. I should be grateful to them."

Mo Jue: "...I don't know if you've heard of a deity on Gu Di Star named Guanyin Bodhisattva."

Reva nodded. "I've heard a little."

Mo Jue curled his lips mockingly. "I think you must be a descendant of Bodhisattva! You're so considerate of those two, it's laughable that you can endure your own and your companions' injuries."

Reva smiled slightly. "Thank you for the compliment."

Mo Jue: "...I wasn't complimenting you."

Reva pretended not to hear and said, "We have different paths, so we can't plan together. We'll be going now."

Reva pulled Ah Ming and Ah Liang and turned to leave, seemingly unfazed by Mo Jue's outburst.

Mo Jue was left leaning against the tree trunk, raging ineffectively. He punched the tree trunk hard, only to hurt his hand so badly that tears welled up in his eyes.

Mo Jue's face darkened as he looked at Reva and the others, who were already almost out of sight in the distance. They were truly cowardly wretches.

He had come to offer help, and this person was still so timid. Had he truly been beaten into submission by those two?

Mo Jue took a deep breath. It was fortunate he had happened to see this scene from the stairwell and had specifically run ahead to wait for these three. They were truly useless.

Mo Jue kicked the grass on the ground fiercely and walked towards his dormitory.

Reva, who had long since left, walked towards the dormitory building with his hands behind his head, humming a tune.

Ah Ming looked at his young master, whose clothes were still covered in dust, and wondered why he was so happy.

"Young master, aren't you tempted by what Mo Jue said? If it were true..."

The strange, tuneless humming from Reva's mouth stopped. He squinted at Ah Liang. "What do you think?"

Ah Liang's bruises were still very visible. He was gently touching them with his hand, unsure if it hurt or not. "Idiot."

Reva nodded. "Yes, that Mo Jue, he thinks I'm an idiot."

Ah Liang moved his lips, wanting to say he didn't mean it that way, he was just scolding that inexplicably appearing person.

Reva, however, smiled and deliberately twisted Ah Liang's meaning, saying:

"Does he think I'm a complete fool? We on Giant God Star have heard about the Mo race's affairs, and he still wants to use me as a pawn. What a dream."

Ah Liang nodded. "Mo Jue came alone today."

Ah Ming raised an eyebrow. "He's the young master of the Mo race."

Reva snapped his fingers. "Yes, the dignified young master of the Mo race, coming alone to the opening ceremony. That must mean others in his clan were held up by something.

Besides, his intentions are too obvious. You can tell he's up to no good at a glance."

Reva rubbed his still faintly aching stomach. Although he hated to say it, "If I have to compare, it's better to know those human and insect kids than him."

Ah Ming scratched his head. "But they just beat us up."

A hint of embarrassment flashed across Reva's face. He muttered, "That's because we couldn't fight back, right?"

He shook his head, deciding not to dwell on it. He wasn't someone who couldn't take a loss. He'd just fight back later.

Finally managing to avoid everyone's gaze and enter the dormitory building, Reva breathed a sigh of relief.

Ah Ming grumbled, "I don't know what that human kid eats to be so strong. My eye socket still hurts."

Ah Liang nodded in agreement; his injuries were slightly worse than Ah Ming's.

The three entered the elevator. Ah Ming pouted, "If I could use Giant God power, I would definitely have beaten him. I wouldn't have been in such a sorry state."

Reva patted him. "You're fighting a human and you still need to use divine power? Aren't you ashamed?"

Ah Ming smiled. "It's just that I'm not capable of it, am I?"

Reva snorted. "We're only in our first year. By the second year, no, by the second semester of our first year, we'll definitely be able to beat them!"

Ah Liang nodded slightly. "I heard there's a training ground in the primary school."

Reva agreed. "Yes! Then we'll openly beat Ye Mu down in the training ground!"

"Ding"

The elevator reached their dormitory floor. As soon as the doors opened, Reva saw Ye Mu and Luo Qi standing at the elevator entrance, smiling.

Reva was stunned.

He felt that he should be more panicked now than Luo Qi, who had been covered in insects earlier.

Ye Mu squinted and smiled. "Young master of Giant God Star, we've been waiting for you to come up. We have some medicine for your injuries."
