Jiang Nan Fang Zhan Bei Jue

Chapter 1069 Deep in Love

The two chatted a lot, their mouths not stopping the entire journey.

Hearing Shang Jincheng talk about how he had a secret crush on her and all the efforts he’d made behind the scenes, Ge'er, though she didn’t say it, was secretly overjoyed.

To be liked by someone from their youth all the way into adulthood and then the wedding hall, this feeling was quite dreamy.

After getting off the plane, the two took a taxi to the city center.

Shang Jincheng took her to dinner first.

Shancheng was a city that loved spicy food, and since it was a rare visit, they definitely had to try the local specialties.

They chose an authentic restaurant and had a hot pot. Ge'er kept exclaiming about how spicy it was from beginning to end, but her mood was good, so she still ate a lot.

After they came out of the restaurant, looking at her flushed lips, Shang Jincheng suppressed the urge to kiss her and told her.

"I’ll go buy you some water. Wait here."

Ge'er casually reminded him, "Buy two bottles. Oh dear, my tongue is so numb from the spice. I’m afraid I won’t recover anytime soon."

Shang Jincheng quickly entered a supermarket. Ten minutes later, he walked out with a black backpack, still wearing that sharp suit, looking quite out of place.

Ge'er looked at him strangely, "What are you wearing? Your hands were empty when you went in, where did that backpack come from?"

"I just bought it. It’s filled with water, all sorts of flavors, prepared for you."

"...There's no need to prepare so much, is there?"

"We're going mountain climbing later. It would be troublesome if you got thirsty on the mountain. It’s fine, it’s not heavy."

The two took a taxi towards the mountain. On the way, the driver asked if they were from out of town.

"Going to the mountain to check in at the Love Bridge? Then you’ve come to the right place. Our bridge is very effective. Many couples come to check in all year round. I heard that if you check in today, you can get your marriage license tomorrow."

"And you two are so well-matched, your future will surely be bright. I’ll be waiting to hear good news from you. When you get married, come back here to offer thanks. I hope I can still drive you."

Even though they knew it was impossible to meet him again, they still smiled and agreed.

That's how people are; even some vague blessings can make one happy.

Unexpectedly, there were quite a few people climbing the mountain that night. There were streetlights along the path, with small groups of tourists and pairs of lovers scattered here and there.

Shang Jincheng held Ge'er's hand and walked upwards. After only a dozen steps, Ge'er's knees felt weak and she couldn't walk anymore.

"You didn't mention we were going mountain climbing beforehand, and I didn't change my shoes. Walking in these shoes is so tiring."

Fortunately, she was tall and never bothered with particularly high heels.

But today, she was wearing three-centimeter platform leather shoes, which were never as comfortable as sneakers.

Shang Jincheng looked at her feet with a guilty expression.

"I'm sorry, it was my oversight. How about this, we'll walk slowly, as far as we can. If you really can't walk anymore, I'll carry you."

"They say there are over twenty thousand steps. If I expect you to carry me, how long will it take until morning?"

"It’ll be morning, then. If you get tired, just sleep on my back. When morning comes, we can watch the sunrise together."

Ge'er didn't want him to be so tired, but she smiled happily after hearing this.

"You said it. I'll sleep later, and you'll climb. Don't say I'm heartless."

Holding hands felt so good. A tingling sensation spread from her fingers to her arms, shoulders, and brain, making her feel floaty.

The air along the way was so sweet.

The two would stop and talk for a while, drink some water. Over an hour passed, and they had only covered less than a third of the way.

Shang Jincheng felt sorry for her. During another rest, he squatted down by her legs.

"Take off your shoes, let me see if you have any blisters."

Blisters weren't really an issue, as Ge'er's shoes were all made of pure lambskin, very soft and easy on the feet.

But her soles were indeed very tired.

"No need, I'm not that delicate."

"Who says you're not that delicate? No one knows how Miss Zhan grew up better than I do. Today is probably the most tiring day of your life. I really regret bringing you to this darn place. I said I was giving you a surprise, and I ended up tiring you out like this. I must have been out of my mind."

Seeing him say this, Ge'er quickly comforted him.

"Not at all. The air here is so good, the environment so fresh. I'm quite happy. Don't say that about yourself anymore."

"We're married. If your brain is sick, it proves my taste is questionable. I don't want people to say my taste is questionable."

Shang Jincheng could clearly feel that Ge'er was accepting him, and he was extremely happy.

His eyes looked at her sweetly, but his hands unexpectedly removed her leather shoes.

Then he held her feet on his knees, turning them over to examine them.

"Thank goodness there are no blisters, otherwise I would have been heartbroken."

"My wife is just beautiful. No wonder people say beauties are beautiful from head to toe. Look at these feet."

Ge'er found it a bit amusing and a bit shy.

"Don't tell me your feet are even prettier than your hands, do you want to kiss them?"

As swift as lightning, Shang Jincheng actually lowered his head and kissed the top of her foot.

"They're as beautiful as my hands, so yes, I really want to kiss them."

Ge'er was almost stunned by him.

Although there weren't many people on the road, there were still passers-by, and he wasn't afraid of being called a pervert.

"Shang Jincheng!"

Shang Jincheng, completely disregarding others' gazes, lifted her other foot and kissed it as well.

"We're a legal couple, we can say whatever we want. Who cares. Are you rested?"

Ge'er, afraid he might kiss her feet again, quickly put on her shoes and said she was rested.

The two continued forward.

Perhaps it was because they got used to it as they walked, or perhaps his sweet talk gave her motivation, but Ge'er started walking much faster than before.

However, she was getting increasingly thirsty, and Shang Jincheng had to stop every now and then to give her water.

When they stopped to drink water again, a young couple stood nearby.

Seeing Shang Jincheng taking such meticulous care of Ge'er, the girl couldn't help but lose her temper at her boyfriend.

"Don't touch me!"

Her boyfriend said pitifully, "I didn't expect mountain climbing to be so thirsty. I drank both bottles of water for you, I didn't drink a single drop myself..."

"Are you an idiot? Look at that boyfriend, then look at you. Climbing so high, and you brought only two bottles of water and you're proud of it? You're the one complaining about being tired, while he’s carrying such a big bag and not saying a word about being tired!"

"I'm sorry, I'll have experience next time. I promise, next time we go out, I definitely won't let you get thirsty again."

Ge'er heard their conversation and signaled Shang Jincheng to give them two bottles.

Shang Jincheng gave them the water. The boyfriend was very embarrassed and wanted to pay him.

"No need, they're not expensive. Just don't argue with each other."

Then he looked at the girl.

"Men aren't born knowing everything; they all have to learn gradually. Give him more patience, believe me, he'll do better next time. Look at my girlfriend, how gentle and considerate. We never argue."

And under their envious gazes, he held Ge'er's hand and continued forward.

Ge'er felt as if she was walking on clouds, about to float away.

Dating Shang Jincheng was truly wonderful.
