Chapter 330: Give Him Hell

Chapter 330: Give Him Hell

After the battle against Jaraht and his regiment, Jason and the other superhumans were carrying out some last-minute preparations to start their actual attack. The plan that Jason had given them was a simple one, but that simplicity was what assured the superhumans that it was actually going to work. Jason planned to split the attack force into ten different units. The units were going to travel to various parts of the world and carry out large-scale attacks that would draw the attention of the Sovereign and Generals. Jason was doing this because he needed to reduce the number of soldiers that were present in the main city. If all the Generals were in the city when he attacked, then Jason was sure that he would end up destroying the entire city in their fight, and it would also be a lot harder to get to the Sovereign.

By splitting them up, Jason would make sure that the number of casualties from the battle was low while also removing the roadblocks that would prevent him from reaching the Sovereign as quickly as possible! Jason spoke to the gathered fighters calmly.

"I want you all to remember the plan and stick to it. My subordinates already know where you’re meant to go, so follow them to your destination, and once you get there, I want you to cause as much destruction as possible. Kill all the soldiers that attack you and destroy the towns and villages so that the Generals will come out from the cities. Try to reduce the civilian casualties as much as possible, but if it is unavoidable, then don’t allow it to distract you from your mission. Do you understand?"

The gathered superhumans all nodded. Even though they were a little hesitant to destroy villages and kill civilians, they knew that it was necessary for the mission to go smoothly. The fight that they just had against Jaraht and his regiment showed them that Jason was more than capable of taking on the soldiers with even a small number of his Legion. Jason had told them that he had close to a thousand subordinates, but he only used about fifty of them in this fight, and he was still able to kill everyone in less than five minutes, so they were certain that the mission was going to go smoothly!

Once Jason was sure that they were all on the same page, he told them to start heading out! The subordinates that Jason had assigned to each superhuman came out from the Alternate Dimension, and they moved to carry their assigned superhuman! Jason had given at least fifty Legion subordinates and twenty necrotic subordinates to each superhuman based on how powerful they were. The superhumans in S Rank had fewer subordinates, while those in A Rank had more to help them. But Jason made sure that he gave all the superhumans at least two dragons each since he knew that the dragons were capable of causing the most damage of all the members of his Legion.

ROARRR!

Jason raised a brow when Rufus refused to get on the back of the dragon that came to carry him. Instead, Rufus’ body shone with bright blue mana before he transformed into a dragon! Rufus could change into any animal that he saw, so it wasn’t that surprising that he would change into a dragon, but Jason couldn’t help but wonder how useful someone like Rufus would be if he were part of his Legion. Rufus noticed that Jason was giving him a calculating stare with an intense look on his face, and for some reason, Rufus felt uneasy when he saw that stare! It was as if Jason was trying to decide the best way to cook and eat him or something! Rufus quickly took off into the sky, and the subordinates followed after him!

Jason made sure that the superhumans all had subordinates who were good matches for them, and he watched as the subordinates took off towards various towns in different directions. Once they had taken off, Jason turned and saw that Gina was still waiting for him to finish.

——

[Gina Fey]

[Rook Rank I]

[Hierarchy Level: 1 [89%]]

[Subordinate Count: 10/10]

[Upgrade Points: 0/50]

[Upgrade Limit: Undefined]

[MP: 3000]

——

Jason took a quick glance up at Gina’s tab, and he hummed silently when he saw how far she had progressed. Jason knew that Gina would reach a hundred percent in this battle, so he decided to keep an eye on her so he could upgrade her once she was strong enough. Gina had been given the Skyking as well as many other Falcon and Dragon subordinates since she was someone who thrived in the air, but Jason could see some worry on her face as she came over and hugged him tightly. Jason returned the hug and he kissed the top of her head before he spoke.

"Make sure you stay safe, alright?"

Gina nodded into Jason’s chest before she rose up to her toes and kissed him. Jason deepened the kiss as he leaned into Gina, and they only separated after a few long seconds. Gina took Jason’s head in her hands and spoke with a serious look on her face.

"Give him hell, babe."

Jason grinned confidently, and he nodded once before he watched as Gina ran off to jump on the back of the Skyking! Gina waved at him, and Jason grinned as the Skyking flapped its large wings and took off into the sky with the other subordinates. Gina didn’t know it, but Jason had put multiple extra subordinates in the shadows to follow her and make sure that she was well protected. It wasn’t that Jason didn’t trust her to take care of herself, but Jason had already lost her once, and he couldn’t help but worry about her safety. The least he could do was to make sure that there would be backup there to help her if she was ever in a tough spot.

Once the superhumans were all gone, Jason hummed as he turned in the direction of the main city. Raya came up to Jason while waving her mandibles towards him, and Jason raised his hand and petted her on the head. Rangar also landed a few meters away from Jason and let out a low rumbling grunt as it stared in the direction of the main city, and Jason grinned as he realized that his subordinates were restless. Did they really want to fight that badly? Jason was also a bit restless since he wanted to start the fight as quickly as possible, but he had to wait for a few more seconds. Azrael hadn’t gotten back to Jason about the Rune activation yet, and if Jason entered the city now, then he was going to be facing the full might of nine SS Rank Generals and a fully powered Sovereign, and no matter how powerful Jason had become, he wasn’t a fool to think that his Legion could handle something like that right now.

Jason only had four Rook Rank III subordinates that would be able to take on the Generals, which meant he would have to put up multiple Rook and Pawn subordinates against the other Generals, but Jason knew that it would be easy for the Generals to handle them since it would be like putting S and A Ranks against an SS Rank. The Sovereign was a different matter altogether. The only person in the Legion who could handle him right now was Jason, and that was only because of the artifacts and skills that he had on top of his current power level. If Jason tried to put any of his subordinates against the Sovereign, then it wouldn’t even take ten seconds for them to be killed. Jason was going to bide his time, and he would grow his Legion and his power before facing the Sovereign.

[My King, I have placed the rune in the city, and the civilians have been incapacitated!]

Jason suddenly received this message from Azrael, and Jason grinned as he activated the [Eye of the King] to see what was happening in the city. Azrael was being attacked by multiple Imperial Guards that had been close by, but they were far too weak to put up a proper fight against him since they already had some of their power drained, so Azrael was using lightning to shoot them down from the sky like ants! Azrael had a large blue protective shield around him that prevented any dragonfire from reaching him, and it was an absolute bloodbath as carnage reigned all around the Lich!
