Chapter 352: The Death of The Sovereign I

Chapter 352: The Death of The Sovereign I

Jason told Gina that he lost his comms and asked her why the superhumans were trying to reach him, and Gina quickly relayed the message that they had been trying to get to him.

’The superhumans and subordinates are getting overwhelmed. We were doing fine until a few minutes ago, but the Generals joined the battle with even more troops! There are at least five hundred soldiers in each town, so the weaker superhumans are being decimated!’

Jason narrowed his eyes and shifted his attention towards the fights that were happening around the towns! Gina was right about the Legion getting overwhelmed. The fight had been going great until a few minutes ago. Jason’s Legion had been giving the Radagan Imperial Guards the fight of their lives and they were killing them quickly enough to make sure they weren’t outnumbered. But after the Generals left the castles and joined the battle, the tides shifted in favor of the Radagan Military. The Generals were just too powerful, and they had also come with a lot of soldiers, so there was no way the subordinates would be able to keep up with that.

Jason’s mind ran through the possibilities in a split second. Jason knew that the best option here was to join the battles himself and resurrect as many new subordinates as possible so they would help the others, but Jason heard a massive explosion echo from the castle in front of him, and he knew that his own battle wasn’t finished yet. If Jason abandoned this fight now, then he was only going to be giving the Sovereign time to recover from his injury! Jason couldn’t leave, so he had to figure out a way to deal with the numbers first! Jason quickly called out to Gina!

’Tell the superhumans to create space between themselves and the enemies! A few Rooks are going to go through [Kamikaze] to reduce the numbers.’

Gina was only confused for a few seconds before she quickly realized what Jason was talking about, and she sent the message to the other superhumans! The superhumans were all in the middle of intense battles, but once they got the message from Gina, they quickly began to move away from the soldiers while giving the subordinates space for their attack! In truth, most of the superhumans were meant to have already been killed by now! The only superhumans who really stood any chance against the soldiers here were the Enforcers and Gina. Even the S Rank members of the SMD battle division weren’t strong enough to put up a good fight for this long! But the blessing that Katarina had given to each of them before they entered the gate was strengthening them enough to allow them to keep fighting, and that was the only thing keeping them alive!

Jason felt a slight headache pricking him at the back of his head when eh tried to reach out to his Legion, and Jason was surprised since he hadn’t felt any stamina fatigue in a long time, but he ignored it since he knew that it was just an aftereffect from using the [Soul Mate] skill. The system told Jason that the skill would slowly deteriorate his mental and physical well-being so he shouldn’t use it excessively and Jason knew that there was no way he could expect to use something that literally brings him back to life without any consequences at all! Jason quickly refocused and sent a mental order to his subordinates, and he made sure that his subordinates understood how they were to carry out the Kamikaze before he told all the Rook Rank I’s from each town to fly into the horde of enemies and kill as many as possible with their attack! There were more than three hundred Rook Rank I’s now, so Jason was sure that sacrificing many of them would take out close to a thousand enemies at least!

The subordinates didn’t waste a single second as they quickly obeyed their king’s order and Jason only waited for a few seconds before he saw the sky light up!

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

The Radagan sky suddenly echoed with massive explosions that could be seen all the way from the main city, and Jason knew that those were his subordinates sacrificing themselves. Jason turned away from the explosions and ignored the sudden influx of messages from his system, and he watched through Ragnar’s eyes as the battle in the castle grew more intense! Ragnar had attacked the Soverign immediately after the Soverign killed Jason, and even though Ragnar was weaker than both the Soverign and his dragon, Ragnar had put up one hell of a fight against both of them at the same time! But now, two more Rook Rank III dragons from Jason’s Legion had joined Ragnar, and they were all fighting together to try and take the Sovereign out!

One of the dragons was fighting against the Soverign’s dragon, while Ragnar was taking on the Soverign with the other dragon, and even with his injured arm, Jason had to admit that the Soverign was still extremely powerful! The Soverign was somehow managing to keep Ragnar back while also making sure that the other dragon didn’t get any opening for an attack! The Soverign charged up his [Emberstorm] once again, and Jason watched patiently as the Soverign’s sword lit up in a brilliant orange glow before he brought it down to attack Ragnar! Jason immediately told the Rook Rank III dragons to charge towards the Soverign and trigger a Kamikaze! The dragon roared as it dived down at the Soverign, and as the Soverign swung his sword for another [Emberstorm], the dragon glowed with the white light of [Kamikaze]!

KA-BOOOM!

An intense explosion erupted across the Radagan city and tore through the tower that they had been standing in! Most of the soldiers fighting in the main city had to stop as they looked up at the castle in shock, and Jason watched as the Soverign flew back from the intense explosion and slammed into the castle wall! Jason was about to use the [King’s Substitute] to change places with Ragnar, but Jason looked at Ragnar’s [Hierarchy Progression] and he noticed that Ragnar was already at 95%! Ragnar had grown more in this one fight than in any other fight that he had been in, and Jason knew that fighting against a stronger opponent was the reason for that growth! Jason decided to leave Ragnar for a bit longer to fight against the Soverign, and he watched as Ragnar charged up another dragon breath and sent it forward! Jason thought the Soverign would be too weak to bring up a defence, but he was shocked when the Soverign pulled himself out of the wall and his sword lit up with the yellow glow of [Emberstorm] as he unleashed an attack on Ragnar!

BOOMM!!!

Jason felt his eyes narrow as he wondered where the hell this guy was getting his stamina from!? He just received a Kamikaze point-blank, but he didn’t even look like he felt it! Ragnar was barely able to dodge out of the way before he used [Linear Charge] and dashed straight down for the Soverign!

Linear Charge was a skill that allowed the Rooks to multiply their attack strength by close to five hundred percent when moving in a straight line, so for a subordinate like Ragnar, that was already extremely overpowered; this skill took his power to a level that couldn’t even be considered to be a Rook anymore! Ragnar became a comet flying through the sky, and the Soverign’s eyes widened in shock when he felt the power behind Ragnar’s charge! The Soverign quickly jumped out of the way so he wouldn’t be hit by that charge, and since Ragnar couldn’t shift directions while using this skill, he ended up taking out an entire section of the castle with his charge! Ragnar slammed into the ground, but he didn’t stay down for long as he turned around with a roar and charged back for the Soverign again!

ROARRRR!

[The subordinate has reached the required Hierarchy Progression for an upgrade. There is a sufficient number of upgrade points; therefore, the system will automatically carry out the Upgrade.]
