Chapter 299 - Silver Hawk Umbra

Chapter 299: Chapter 299 - Silver Hawk Umbra

Atlas took a step back as a swirl of green energy burst from the purple ticket floating in the air. Then... several vines began to sprout from the ticket, their roots twisting and curling until the ticket itself crumbled apart.

Oh... could this be a new character?

Usually, when the effect was this elaborate, it was either a new character or an important item.

The vines kept growing, stretching out even farther. Until finally, something appeared in the center. A cuboid-shaped object, brownish in color, like a wooden box. And just like that, the vines vanished.

So, it wasn’t a character after all. Atlas gave a faint smile. Guess it would’ve been a bit much to expect three characters to drop in a single gacha session.

[You have received Rank-A Item: Guardian Seed Cuboid]

[An artifact rumored to hold four variant seeds once used to grow living fortresses.]

Atlas reached out and took hold of the cuboid, which turned out to be a wooden box. He opened the lid and frowned slightly when he saw four compartments inside, each filled with small, bean-shaped seeds, dozens in each container.

He lifted his gaze and turned toward someone. "Mira, come."

The bunny girl leapt swiftly, landing on the stage in an instant.

"The description says these can grow into living fortresses," Atlas said, still eyeing the seeds, "though I’m sure it’ll take some time for us to actually grow them. So you’ll hold on to part of them, and I’ll give the rest to Gwen to see what she can figure out."

"Alright, my lord..." she replied eagerly.

Atlas handed the wooden box to Mira, planning to visit the elf girl Gwen after the Lord Battle season was over.

Seeds that could grow into living fortresses? That already sounded intriguing just from the description alone. And even though the box held quite a lot of seeds, they probably wouldn’t be anywhere near as extraordinary as the Luminaria Grove.

Mira hopped back down as the night continued. There were still twenty tickets left for Atlas to open. Next up, he called forward someone else, a man walking toward the stage with a nervous, almost panicked expression.

Milo was already on stage when Atlas handed him ten silver-colored tickets.

Milo held the tickets in both hands and turned to face the crowd with a wide grin, shaking them dramatically like a deck of cards.

"Milo, just throw the tickets, no need for theatrics!" someone shouted.

"Haha, yeah Milo, we’re not here for a magic show. We can’t wait!"

"Oh, yes, sorry!" Milo grinned sheepishly, then tossed the tickets up into the air.

BROWN. BROWN... one after another, the tickets flashed and turned brown, until the ninth. Finally, one turned purple. Only a single Rank-A ticket.

"My lord... I’m sorry, only one Rank-A," Milo said, his face tight with anxiety.

"No, it’s alright. We’re here to enjoy the night. Have fun," Atlas replied with a calm smile.

Milo gave a grateful nod and stepped down from the stage.

Atlas quickly opened the nine Rank-B tickets, storing everything directly into his inventory. Then, he turned his attention to the one purple ticket floating before him.

"Let’s see what other surprises tonight has in store," Atlas said, smiling.

"FIRE!!!" the crowd shouted in unison.

Atlas reached out and touched the purple ticket, then stepped back a bit as a sudden gust of wind swept out from it. The ticket vanished into a swirl of dark energy, disappearing in an instant.

Narrowing his eyes, Atlas watched closely as the transformation began. A sound of wings flapping echoed through the air, followed by a stronger gust of wind.

Then, something emerged from the shadows. A large bird, easily two or three times the size of a typical eagle.

[You have received Rank-A Beast: Silver Hawk Umbra]

[A spirit beast born of wind and shadow, its metallic feathers blur into transparency as it soars, leaving violet trails of mist in its wake. Silent and swift, it hunts unseen, striking with precision before fading back into the darkness of the sky.]

The bird’s feathers shimmered in silver, though the energy that cloaked it gave off a darker hue. It flew high into the air, circling above the crowd with grace and power.

Wind and shadow? This one looked like the perfect candidate for a scout or a stealth-based tracker. The bird gave a sharp cry overhead, then dove downward, slicing through the air before landing gently on Atlas’s outstretched right arm.

"Hey, welcome to Gacha Haven. I already know who you’ll be perfect for," he said, glancing toward Mira among the others. With a small motion, he let the bird take off again, gliding toward the bunny girl.

"Mira, take the bird with you," he said.

Mira lit up, joy sparkling in her eyes as she hugged the spirit beast gently. It was an ideal match. Mira’s team already had plenty of beastkin and was made up of fast-moving fighters and assassins. A spirit beast like this would be right at home among them.

Nice. The night was still young. Time for one more round.

Atlas called the next person to the stage, a girl with crimson hair and a tight-fitting red outfit. Serenith.

Serenith eagerly accepted the 10 standard tickets from Atlas, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she cheerfully tossed them into the air. All eyes turned upward, watching with anticipation as the tickets began to shift color one by one.

PURPLE!

"Fire!"

Wow, the very first ticket was already purple. Could this be something amazing?

PURPLE.

"FIRE!"

Another one? No way.

BROWN. BROWN. BROWN.

Two Rank-A tickets already. That was well above average. Atlas kept his expectations in check.

But then...

BROWN. PURPLE.

"FIRE!"

A third Rank-A ticket? Atlas couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement.

BROWN. BROWN.

One last ticket remained, trembling slightly in the air as if holding back its surprise. No way... could it really be?

Then, the ticket flashed RED!

"FIRE!!!!" the crowd roared, their cheers deafening with excitement and disbelief.

Three Rank-A tickets and one Rank-S! This was a true jackpot. A Rank-S pull coming this early, right at the 40th draw. Far earlier than the guaranteed Rank-S milestone.

Serenith looked overjoyed, practically bouncing with excitement at her unbelievable pull. Lyrassa had gotten something incredible too before, and now Serenith had followed it up with her own stroke of luck.

The red-haired girl stepped off the stage with a huge grin, and Atlas swiftly opened the six Rank-B tickets, storing their contents straight into his inventory.

This was shaping up to be an absolutely legendary session. No doubt about it.

Atlas reached out and touched the first purple ticket, curiosity buzzing in his chest. Seriously, three Rank-A pulls and one Rank-S? This had to lead to something extraordinary.

The ticket trembled, and a burst of blinding light exploded from its core.

Light? That was new. Most summons so far had been aligned with shadow or dark elements. This felt different and unusual.

Then, something began to take shape within the light. The glowing figure started to move, bouncing lightly in midair, its body still wrapped in a radiant aura. But as it shifted and landed, its outline became clearer.

It had four legs.

Another beast?
