"I'll take her to my place, are you willing?" Feng Qishi asked coldly.
Ouyang Ye, hearing Feng Qishi's words, understood. Feng Qishi's intention was to embarrass him in front of them. Looking at Feng Qishi, he couldn't help but smile. "You're really quite boring." He then turned to look at Jia and Lou Yi and said, "You two, get out."
"Huh?" Jia was surprised by Ouyang Ye's sudden request for them to leave.
"What 'huh,' this has nothing to do with you, you can..."
"I am using a spell, you get out too," Feng Qishi said, without giving Ouyang Ye any face.
Ouyang Ye swallowed his unspoken words, slowly turned his head to look at Feng Qishi's face, and smiled. "I don't need to leave, do I? Perhaps I can even help you."
"If I recall correctly, you harbor a deep resentment towards immortals. I am worried," Feng Qishi said expressionlessly, "that upon seeing me cast a spell, you might be unable to control yourself and cause trouble. Therefore, I must ask you to leave."
"What do you take me for? I won't cause trouble." Ouyang Ye simply disliked Mu Anxiao and Feng Qishi being alone together and was about to speak.
"..." Feng Qishi deliberately remained silent.
Seeing this, Ouyang Ye immediately frowned. "What do you mean by that?"
"The spell I am about to use cannot be witnessed by anyone. If you stay..." Feng Qishi said, pausing for a few seconds, "we will remain in this stalemate, and we'll see who can outlast whom."
"Can you not be so childish?" Ouyang Ye said impatiently.
"Soon, she and I will have no relation. Of course," Feng Qishi sneered, "to be precise, from the moment she got together with you, I already had no relation with her."
Ouyang Ye looked disdainful. "Then why are you still saving her? Feng Qishi, you're just putting up a front. You clearly still have feelings for her."
"If you don't leave now, the spell on her wound will disappear, and then she will die," Feng Qishi said coldly.
"You for her..."
"Whether I have feelings for her or not, it has nothing to do with you, I'm afraid."
"I like her. If you..." Ouyang Ye stopped midway, suddenly realizing that his behavior was indeed unreasonable. He cleared his throat and changed his tone. "You'd best not use this to settle personal scores."
"Settle personal scores," Feng Qishi repeated, a cold laugh escaping him. "I have plenty of opportunities for that. However, I would never joke about... her life."
"I'll believe you this time." Ouyang Ye found an excuse to dismount, turned, and walked away first.
Conversely, Jia paid attention to every word Feng Qishi had said to Ouyang Ye. Frowning, he handed the silver rope to Lou Yi and stepped forward to stand in front of Feng Qishi.
Lou Yi tightly gripped the silver rope, looking utterly bewildered.
The girl, as if accepting reality, opened her mouth and yawned.
Over there, Feng Qishi looked down at Jia, who had suddenly approached, and asked, "What are you doing?"
"I was already unhappy over there. Why did you dismiss my spell?" Jia had been holding back, and he could bear it no longer.
Lou Yi watched Jia’s back as he went to pick a fight over this, then thought about Jia's indifferent attitude in the wood shed. He wondered how slow Jia's reaction time really was. It was only now that he realized he had been dismissed. What exactly was in his mind?
The girl watched Jia’s back and giggled. Just as she was about to speak, Lou Yi quietly reminded her, "He's in a bad mood."
Upon hearing this, the girl glanced at Lou Yi, her expression becoming awkward.
Feng Qishi looked at Jia's face, which seemed to be defending him, and deliberately remained silent.
Seeing this, Jia became angry. "I'm talking to you. Don't just look at me and make the person so awkward."
"It's good that you know it's awkward," Feng Qishi said, glancing towards the door, then crouching down in front of Jia. He said quietly, "You are actually quite capable."
"Cap... able?" Jia's eyes lit up, and his anger from the previous moment vanished instantly. "You sincerely think I'm capable." His eyes shone with excitement.
"Why would I lie to you? You were able to stop Mu Sha..." Feng Qishi's eyes darkened, and he continued, "You were able to stop her bleeding. That's already very capable. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to do anything."
"Are you serious?" Jia didn't notice the change in Feng Qishi's expression. Instead, his confidence soared after Feng Qishi's words.
"Serious," Feng Qishi nodded.
Upon hearing this, Jia straightened his back, lowered his head, and unabashedly chuckled.
Seeing Jia chuckling, Feng Qishi's lips curved up slightly.
Although Lou Yi couldn't hear what Feng Qishi said to Jia, judging from Jia's slightly straightened back, he guessed that Jia must have been praised. It was also because of this that he couldn't help but feel disdain for Jia.
The girl cautiously glanced at Lou Yi and whispered, "What, you want to be praised?"
"What are you talking about?" Lou Yi asked without even looking at the girl.
"Look at that kid's smug back. He must have been praised," the girl said, clicking her tongue. "It looks like you're either jealous or... envious." She pouted and stared at Lou Yi's profile.
Lou Yi had always thought he was the only one who noticed Jia's smug reaction. To his surprise, the girl had seen it at a glance too. Hearing this, he abruptly abandoned his disdain for Jia and turned to meet the girl's eyes. "Do you think you're very clever?"
"Huh?" The girl couldn't keep up with Lou Yi's pace for a moment.
Lou Yi continued, "Let me tell you, you demon. I've always thought he was very capable. If you're trying to sow discord between us, you just wait." He pointed his finger at the girl's face.
Immediately, the girl looked wronged. "I didn't say anything. Besides, the reality is right there, he is quite... smug."
"Shut up," Lou Yi widened his eyes.
Seeing this, the girl was speechless.
Over there, Jia had finished his amusement. He raised his head and looked at Feng Qishi. "Is there anything I can help you with?" His attitude was much better than before.
"No," Feng Qishi said, glancing back at Mu Anxiao, then at Jia. "Keep Ouyang Ye far away from this house. I don't want to sense his demonic energy, as it will only affect my performance. Do you understand?"
"Rivals in love," Jia stated directly.
Feng Qishi's face stiffened. "I have no feelings for Mu Anxiao, only..."
"They don't understand you, but I do. I really don't know who begged Mu Anxiao to bring him here," Jia interrupted Feng Qishi, then smiled. "Don't worry, I absolutely won't let Ouyang Ye come near here." With that, he patted Feng Qishi's shoulder and turned to leave.
Feng Qishi looked at Jia's "mature" figure, let out a sigh of utter speechlessness, then stood up and said, "Help me close the door."
"Understood," Jia said, taking the silver rope from Lou Yi's hand and pulling the girl along.
Then, Lou Yi smiled at Feng Qishi and followed them.
