Chapter 411 Going to the Hospital

Mu Anxiao glared at Liu Xian, put down her empty bowl, and said, "You can take these flowers back."

"Why?" Fan Yan, sitting on a small stool, raised his head and asked.

Mu Anxiao replied, "If I accept the flowers you give me, what does that make me?"

"Don't all girls like flowers?" Fan Yan's expression was vacant. "Don't you like them?"

"I like money," Mu Anxiao stated directly.

Upon hearing this, Fan Yan lowered his head and continued to eat.

Mu Anxiao withdrew her gaze from Fan Yan's face and said, "You must know that I'm leaving, right?"

"We know," Liu Xian nodded, a hint of reluctance in his expression. "Since you're leaving, leave your contact information so we can stay in touch."

"No need, I won't be back," Mu Anxiao said.

Liu Xian glanced at the indifferent Zhang Yan and said, "Aren't you going to come back and see your grandfather at least?"

"She doesn't need to see me," Zhang Yan said.

Liu Xian's expression stiffened.

Fan Yan looked up and said, "Why? Isn't she your granddaughter, and therefore obligated to visit you?"

"This is my family affair, what business is it of yours?" Zhang Yan said, continuing to eat.

Fan Yan lowered his head and ate.

Liu Xian suddenly let out a cold laugh, "You really are heartless."

"We'll talk about whether I'm heartless later. I'd like to treat you to a meal before I leave," Mu Anxiao said, looking at Fan Yan and Liu Xian.

Liu Xian glanced at Fan Yan and asked, "Are you serious?"

"Yes, I'm telling the truth," Mu Anxiao nodded.

"You are truly a person of deep loyalty," Liu Xian's demeanor changed immediately.

Mu Anxiao, long accustomed to Liu Xian's fickle nature, said, "Alright, after we finish eating, get some rest. I'll treat you the day after tomorrow."

"Okay," Liu Xian nodded.

Fan Yan smiled foolishly, "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Mu Anxiao shook her head.

Early the next morning, Mu Anxiao got up early and walked out of Zhang Yan's room. She stretched and looked at the fat demon and the small demon who were standing by the door. "You're early."

At the same time, Liu Xian happened to stop and see Mu Anxiao. He thought she was talking to him and quickly replied, "I have work today, so I got up early. Have you eaten?"

The small demon turned to look at Liu Xian and blinked.

Mu Anxiao said, "Not yet, I'm going to eat. How about you?"

"I'm going to eat at the park entrance. Do you want something? I can bring it for you?"

"No, thank you," Mu Anxiao replied politely.

Liu Xian smiled and said, "Alright, I'll be going then." With that, he left.

Mu Anxiao breathed a sigh of relief and said to the two individuals in front of her, "You're early."

"Something's wrong," the small demon said with a serious expression.

"What is it?" Mu Anxiao frowned, suddenly feeling that something was about to happen.

"Master was hospitalized yesterday, at the same hospital as Feng Qishi," the small demon said.

"Wasn't he fine yesterday?" Mu Anxiao asked.

The small demon shook his head. "I don't know. You should go see him. Take this opportunity to get things settled."

"That's the only way," Mu Anxiao said, turning to look at Zhang Yan, who had stopped behind her. "I'm leaving."

"Be careful yourself," Zhang Yan said.

"Yes, I will," Mu Anxiao nodded. After a moment's thought, she asked, "Are you going out today?"

"I'm going to work now. After noon, I won't have much to do. Anyway, once things are finished, you can come straight back here," Zhang Yan looked around and said. "I'll rush back as soon as possible."

"Okay," Mu Anxiao said, then turned to the fat demon and the small demon. "Let's go."

"Goodbye, Uncle," the small demon and the fat demon said to Zhang Yan in unison.

Zhang Yan disliked being called Uncle and corrected them, "Call me brother."

"Goodbye, Big Brother," they said cooperatively.

Zhang Yan smiled with satisfaction, waved his hand, and said, "Alright, you can go now."

Mu Anxiao said nothing and walked away with the fat demon and the small demon.

Zhang Yan stood in place and let out a breath. He looked at Fan Yan, who was looking at him, and asked, "Why are you looking at me?"

"Boss, who did you just tell to call you brother?" Fan Yan asked, looking terrified.

"You," Zhang Yan pointed at Fan Yan.

Hearing this, Fan Yan's mind raced. He ran forward and, with a trembling voice, called Zhang Yan "Brother."

Zhang Yan smiled faintly. "Don't tell anyone what you saw, understand? Otherwise, you know the consequences."

"Yes, I'm happy that the boss has a young heart," Fan Yan said with a foolish smile. "I won't talk nonsense."

"That's good," Zhang Yan said. He reached out and placed his hand on Fan Yan's head. Then, without Fan Yan being prepared, he erased everything Fan Yan had seen, except for calling him brother.

"Boss, just..." Fan Yan began, then suddenly frowned and said, "Oh, what did I just see?"

Zhang Yan removed his hand. "Are you going to ask where Liu Xian went?"

Hearing Zhang Yan's words, Fan Yan nodded excitedly. "Yes, I didn't see Liu Xian when I came out just now. Where did he go?" he asked, looking around.

"Are you guys together again today?" Zhang Yan asked.

"No, I wanted to eat breakfast with him."

"He went to eat at the park entrance. If you go now, you should be able to see him," Zhang Yan reminded him.

"Thank you, boss," Fan Yan said quickly, turned, and ran off.

Zhang Yan watched Fan Yan's retreating back and smiled.

At this moment, Mu Anxiao had arrived at the bus stop.

"What are you doing here?" the small demon asked, stopping beside Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao glanced at the people around her and thought with her mind, *I can't use magic.*

Upon hearing Mu Anxiao's words, the small demon suddenly remembered Mu Anxiao's damaged vital energy and said, "Sorry."

Mu Anxiao shook her head. Her phone rang.

"Who is it?" she muttered, pulling her phone out of her pocket. "Hello, who is it?"

"It's me, your grandfather."

Mu Anxiao frowned, and as she walked onto the bus, she asked, "What is it?" She dropped her coin and entered the not-too-crowded carriage.

Zhang Yan stood at the courtyard entrance and said, "I promised Feng Qishi I would see him yesterday, but I don't have time today. Can you tell him for me?"

"Got it," Mu Anxiao said, and then hung up the phone.

Zhang Yan took out his phone and sighed, "That brat, she hung up before I finished speaking." He then walked away.

On the bus, as soon as Mu Anxiao put her phone back, she saw an empty seat. Just as she was about to step forward and sit down, she noticed the young man beside her. She withdrew her foot and said, "You sit."

"You sit," the young man replied with a smile.

Mu Anxiao found the young man's smile chilling, but seeing how polite he was, she managed a strained smile and sat down.
