“So good,” the little follower raised his hand.
The Yin messenger in a suit continued to smile, bending down.
The little follower gently patted his shoulder and said, “Get up.”
The Yin messenger in a suit straightened up obediently, “Little boss, please lead the way.”
“Okay, follow me,” the little follower pointed at the Yin messenger in a suit.
The Yin messenger in a suit nodded, “Yes, little boss.”
“Let’s go,” the little follower waved at Zhang Yan and crouched down, disappearing.
Then, Zhang Yan looked at the Yin messenger in a suit and said, “You play your part well.”
The Yin messenger in a suit put a finger to his lips and hissed, “Don’t say it, this is our secret.” He pointed at Zhang Yan and then at himself.
Zhang Yan looked at the Yin messenger in a suit’s feigned innocence with disdain, waved his hand, “Hurry up, let’s go.”
The Yin messenger in a suit winked, turned, and passed through the wall, leaving.
Zhang Yan couldn’t help but shiver.
In the blink of an eye, the little follower appeared at Feng Qishi’s feet. Feng Qishi, without paying attention, stepped on his head, “Did I step on something?” He stopped and turned to look at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao looked down at the little head at Feng Qishi’s feet and said, “You did step on something.”
“Oh?” Feng Qishi said calmly, stepping back and looking down at the little follower crawling out from underground, smiling, “Oh dear, my apologies, little one.”
The little follower rubbed his head and said, “It’s okay, it’s okay. Let me introduce you to my partner.”
“Aren’t those kids your partners?” Feng Qishi asked.
“Of course not, we’re just colleagues. But now it’s different, I have a real partner,” the little follower said, looking around. “Wait a minute, he might not have followed me.”
“Didn’t he come up from here like you?” Feng Qishi stomped his foot and asked.
The little follower shook his head, “He’s different from me. If he were like me, I wouldn’t have to bring him along.”
“That’s true. If he were like you, I could step on two heads,” Feng Qishi said flippantly.
The little follower narrowed his eyes and said, “Next time, I definitely won’t let you step on my head.”
“Alright, then I’ll try not to step on your head either,” Feng Qishi spread his hands.
Mu Anxiao looked helplessly at the two equally bored and childish figures and sighed. Then he turned and saw the Yin messenger in a suit walking towards them, asking, “How did it go?”
“It’s resolved,” the Yin messenger in a suit walked up to Mu Anxiao. “Chihuahua and Stubborn Dog will be punished after Hu Yuan’s death, and the female demon will be soul-scattered.”
“And you?” Feng Qishi looked at the Yin messenger in a suit.
The Yin messenger in a suit’s face stiffened, and he looked down at the little follower.
The little follower put on a mysterious air and said, “Do you want to introduce yourself, or shall I?”
“Little boss, you first,” the Yin messenger in a suit said respectfully.
Mu Anxiao frowned.
Feng Qishi swallowed and said, “Wait a moment,” he looked down at the little follower, “He isn’t your partner, is he?”
“You’re smart,” the little follower crossed his arms.
The Yin messenger in a suit glanced sideways, too embarrassed to speak.
Feng Qishi’s mouth twitched, and he said, “Aren’t you bullying him!”
“Huh?” the little follower exclaimed, “How am I bullying him? Without me, he’d probably be unemployed by now.”
“Really?” Feng Qishi looked at the Yin messenger in a suit and asked.
The Yin messenger in a suit nodded very reluctantly, “Yes.”
“No, the plan I gave you was foolproof, how did you get punished?” Feng Qishi asked, full of confusion.
“The original plan was just to lure out that female demon. Who knew that Chihuahua and Stubborn Dog would also confess. If I didn’t receive some punishment, it would get out that the demons in the demon realm would say it was unfair, and then there would be trouble. So, I had to be punished,” the Yin messenger in a suit explained in detail.
Feng Qishi listened and nodded, “That makes sense. But you must have a great time following him.”
“Great,” the Yin messenger in a suit forced out the word.
The little follower said, “Why are you so reluctant?”
“No,” the Yin messenger in a suit immediately smiled again.
Mu Anxiao looked at the Yin messenger in a suit’s deliberately fake smile, wrinkled his nose, and said nothing.
Feng Qishi looked at the Yin messenger in a suit and casually said, “It must be tough for you.”
“At first, I couldn’t accept it and wasn’t used to it, but,” the Yin messenger in a suit glanced at the little follower and smiled, “After following him around, I’m very, very, very happy.”
Hearing this, the little follower tugged at the Yin messenger in a suit’s clothes.
The Yin messenger in a suit looked down at the little follower and said, “We just came to tell you this news. Now that we’ve said it, we’ll be going.”
“Bye,” Feng Qishi waved.
Mu Anxiao asked, “Is your punishment time-limited?”
“Fifty years,” the little follower said excitedly.
“Oh,” Mu Anxiao nodded and said nothing.
Then, the little follower and the Yin messenger in a suit disappeared.
Mu Anxiao sighed.
Feng Qishi said, “That punishment is quite severe.”
“What’s so severe about it?” Mu Anxiao asked.
Feng Qishi thought for a moment and said, “If you had to play hide-and-seek with brats every day, would you get tired of it?”
“No,” Mu Anxiao said, “At least, it’s a position. If it were given to me, I would definitely do it with all my heart. Even if it’s just playing games, I would make sure they have fun playing with me.”
“Are you envious?” Feng Qishi asked.
Mu Anxiao sighed and said, “Alright, let’s go find Hu Yuan.”
“Mm,” Feng Qishi didn’t want to provoke her further.
Before long, Mu Anxiao and the others entered the hospital and arrived outside Hu Yuan’s ward. Just as they were about to go in, a passing nurse said, “The patient in this room has already been discharged.”
Hearing this, Mu Anxiao turned to the nurse and asked, “When did he leave?”
“A few hours ago,” the nurse said.
“Okay, I know, thank you,” Mu Anxiao said politely.
The nurse replied, “You’re welcome,” and walked away.
Feng Qishi looked annoyed, “How could he be discharged given his condition?”
Mu Anxiao, after ensuring no one was around, said quietly, “The wolf demon is helping him, why are you in such a hurry?”
“Do you know where his home is?” Feng Qishi asked.
Mu Anxiao looked at Feng Qishi’s anxious expression and said, “How much do you like that Sumu Spear?”
“Very much,” Feng Qishi stated firmly, pointing at Mu Anxiao’s pocket, “Make the call quickly.”
Mu Anxiao’s eyes narrowed, “Speaking of which, are you worried about Hu Yuan, or do you just want to try out the Sumu Spear as soon as possible?”
“Of course…” Feng Qishi shifted his gaze unnaturally and said, “Both.”
Mu Anxiao couldn’t help but let out a soft scoff, “I think your concern for him is fake, and your eagerness to try the Sumu Spear is real.”
