"I won't say any more words of forced affection for her. I've decided to dedicate my efforts silently," Shi Yi chuckled foolishly, "to move her heart."
"Move her heart? Are you sure you're using the right word?" Feng Qishi deliberately picked at his words.
"Touch her heart," Shi Yi corrected, looking at Feng Qishi with a foolish grin.
Feng Qishi offered a wry smile.
The man in green, resting his chin on one hand, looked at Mu Anxiao, who was drinking tea, and asked, "What are your plans?"
"Xiu Xian Men is not an easy place to get into," Mu Anxiao said after taking a sip of tea.
"Why wouldn't it be easy to get into?" the man in green frowned.
"It's protected by a demon barrier... no, it should be called a demonic obstruction, set up by the rabbit spirit. So, ordinary demons, humans, and immortals cannot enter," Mu Anxiao said leisurely.
"Can't we just force our way in?" The man in green was constantly worried about his beloved being brainwashed by that rabbit spirit, his heart filled with anxiety.
Mu Anxiao lowered the teacup nearing his lips, narrowed his eyes into slits, and then slowly turned his face to look at the man in green, saying, "May I ask, do you not understand what I'm saying?"
"You..."
"What 'you'?" Mu Anxiao opened his eyes, his tone filled with impatience towards the man in green. "I already said humans, demons, and immortals cannot enter. If you say you want to force your way in, aren't you seeking death?"
"Then what can we do? Are we just going to watch Hongyan be brainwashed and become our enemy?" the man in green asked, his face full of nervousness.
"If it truly comes to that," Mu Anxiao sighed softly, "there's nothing we can do. After all, they spend more time together than we do."
"Hongyan is a good demon. It would be too much of a pity if that happened," the man in green lamented.
"Whether it's a pity or not, we," Mu Anxiao picked up his teacup again, "will wait and see."
"What do you mean by that?" The man in green looked helplessly at Mu Anxiao's pretentiously profound expression and asked.
Mu Anxiao drained his teacup in one gulp and said, "Just saying, don't take it seriously." He said, then turned his head to look at Feng Qishi and Shi Yi, who were standing there staring at them. "Why are you standing there? Come over."
Shi Yi heard Mu Anxiao's voice and couldn't help but smile. "She's asking us to come over. Let's go."
Feng Qishi sighed, pulled the silver rope, and turned to go first.
Shi Yi followed, then stopped behind Mu Anxiao. "We're here."
Mu Anxiao felt a tingling sensation on his scalp.
Feng Qishi saw Mu Anxiao's expression was off and directly pulled Shi Yi to his side. "Sit down." He then sat down himself.
"I want to sit with her," Shi Yi pointed at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao rested his chin on one hand, deliberately not looking at Shi Yi.
Shi Yi felt nothing, still staring at Mu Anxiao with a foolish smile.
The man in green looked curiously at Shi Yi, who was foolishly smiling at Mu Anxiao, and asked, "Who are you?"
"Rat spirit," Feng Qishi said.
Shi Yi's brow furrowed. He came back to his senses and looked at the man in green. "Correction, my name is Shi Yi. I am no longer a rat spirit." His tone became less friendly. "I heard you are her fiancé."
The man in green was stunned.
Feng Qishi cautiously glanced at Shi Yi's smug face and coughed twice. He spoke telepathically, "Say yes. This guy likes Mu Anxiao and is pestering her. If you say yes, it'll be right."
The man in green slanted his eyes at Feng Qishi and asked telepathically, "Why don't you say you're her fiancé yourself? Aren't you slandering me!"
"Help me, I'll go back. I'll find a fairy maiden you like," Feng Qishi said telepathically, lowering his head.
The man in green's lips curved. "You said it. Don't go back on your word."
"Mhm, I won't," Feng Qishi said telepathically, lowering his head and resting his forehead on his hand.
Mu Anxiao turned to look at Feng Qishi's expression and asked, "What's wrong?"
Hearing this, Feng Qishi quickly removed his hand, looked up at Mu Anxiao, and smiled. "Nothing."
"Oh." Mu Anxiao responded, then looked at Shi Yi, who was inexplicably staring at her. "What are you looking at me for?"
"Is he your fiancé?" Shi Yi pointed at the man in green.
The man in green slanted his eyes at Shi Yi, and at the same time, he and Mu Anxiao said in unison, "Yes."
Feng Qishi didn't expect Mu Anxiao to be so in sync with the man in green. His expression immediately changed.
The man in green looked at Mu Anxiao's cooperative behavior with surprise, secretly disdainful, but his expression didn't change. He smiled at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao deliberately made her smile natural. "He is my fiancé."
"Do you like him?" Shi Yi asked.
This question truly stumped Mu Anxiao.
"You don't like him, do you?" Shi Yi asked again when Mu Anxiao didn't speak.
Mu Anxiao's lips twitched. She glanced around and said, "It's the decree of our parents, the words of the matchmaker, and destiny. Whether we like him or not is meaningless to us."
"You don't like him, do you?" Shi Yi looked at Mu Anxiao deeply.
Mu Anxiao let out a dry laugh.
The man in green saw Mu Anxiao's predicament and deliberately spoke, "Feelings can be cultivated. What, you like her?"
"Yes, I like her," Shi Yi nodded.
The man in green was stunned. He slowly turned to Mu Anxiao and gave a wry smile. "What do you like about her?"
"I like everything about her. If you don't like her," Shi Yi said with a simple smile, "give her to me."
"Huh?" The man in green was startled.
Feng Qishi's face turned cold. "She's not an object to be given away. You're thinking too wishfully."
"Exactly. She's not an object. You're thinking too wishfully," the man in green deliberately echoed.
Mu Anxiao was truly uninterested in this topic. She sighed and said, "Enough." She looked at the man in green. "He has a way to enter Xiu Xian Men." She pointed at Shi Yi.
Shi Yi saw Mu Anxiao pointing at himself and smiled. "I can take you there, but the condition is, you give her to me."
"Am I an object?" Mu Anxiao asked indignantly.
Shi Yi smiled. "Aren't you an object?"
Mu Anxiao was speechless.
Feng Qishi glanced at the man in green's changing expression and said, "Mu Anxiao is a person with feelings, not an 'object' as you say. Speaking like that," he glared at Shi Yi, "is very disrespectful."
"I..."
"Alright, don't try to threaten anyone with your words anymore. If you don't take us to Xiu Xian Men," Feng Qishi said with a cold smile, "your fate will be simple." He then tugged on the silver rope.
Shi Yi, who had forgotten about the silver rope binding him, compromised the moment Feng Qishi pulled the rope.
"Fine, I won't say anything more. I'll take you." he said.
"You know how to get to Xiu Xian Men?" The man in green asked Shi Yi in surprise.
Shi Yi gave the man in green a sidelong glance and said nothing.
Seeing Shi Yi's reaction and then looking at Mu Anxiao, the man in green asked, "Do you really like her?"
"Yes," Shi Yi nodded excitedly.
