Chapter 550 A Beauty

"What are you doing?" the man in green asked, turning his body.

"I have something to attend to, I'm leaving now," Mu Anxiao replied, waving the paper in front of the man in green's face.

The man in green took the paper and glanced at the rabbit spirit, "You'd better come back quickly."

"Depends on the situation," Mu Anxiao said, looking down at the rabbit spirit who had sensed the dog-headed demon's scent. "Don't speak, I'm going."

The rabbit spirit's eyes glowed red. "You can't go."

"Shut up," Mu Anxiao growled.

The man in green looked at Mu Anxiao's strange expression and asked, "Are you encountering some trouble?"

"No," Mu Anxiao said, shaking her head at the rabbit spirit.

The rabbit spirit was genuinely afraid of the dog-headed demon, so it obediently lowered its head.

Mu Anxiao breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm off."

"You..."

"We'll meet again," Mu Anxiao said, cupping her fist.

The man in green, influenced by Mu Anxiao, cupped his fist as well.

Mu Anxiao forced a smile and turned to walk out of the shop.

The man in green lowered his hand, looking at Mu Anxiao's hurried departure from the tavern with a puzzled expression. He then looked down at the rabbit spirit and said, "Hey, can you smell if there are any demons around here?"

"I..." The rabbit spirit was speechless.

"Your behavior and that guy's just now were very strange. Tell me," the man in green narrowed his eyes, "are you hiding something from me?"

"She told me not to say," the rabbit spirit shook its head.

"What can't be said?" the man in green said, his eyes darting. His expression became serious. "Tell me, have you been doing bad things behind my back?"

"No," the rabbit spirit quickly replied, afraid of offending the man in green.

"No," the man in green repeated, his eyes now filled with indifference. "Then tell me, what exactly did that person go to do."

"She's being chased by a demon," the rabbit spirit reluctantly revealed the truth.

"A demon?" the man in green said, turning his head to look in the direction Mu Anxiao had left. "She's just a mortal, how could she be chased by a demon?"

"She has an immortal aura, but I don't know why you can't sense it," the rabbit spirit told the truth.

"What's her name?" the man in green asked, looking down at the rabbit spirit.

The rabbit spirit thought for a moment and said, "I don't know."

"You've been with her and you don't even know her name," the man in green found it incredible.

"I am a rabbit, I don't have a name, so I naturally didn't think to ask others for their names," the rabbit spirit said, feeling wronged.

"Before you, what did your owner call you?" the man in green asked.

The rabbit spirit thought and said, "They all named us according to our fur color."

"Xiao Bai?" the man in green guessed.

The rabbit spirit nodded. "Yes, that's what they called me."

"Xiao Bai, that's a bit too common," the man in green said disdainfully.

"I think it's fine," the rabbit spirit said, as the one involved.

"No, from now on, you'll be called Hong Yan," the man in green said, stroking the rabbit spirit's head.

"Hong Yan..." the rabbit spirit was speechless.

The man in green saw the obvious displeasure on the rabbit spirit's face and asked, "What, you don't like it?"

"In the past, they named me based on my fur color, but you're naming me based on my eye color. What's the difference between you and them?" the rabbit spirit said, turning its head away. "You're all so casual."

"No, have you misunderstood something?" the man in green asked, looking at the rabbit spirit with helplessness.

"I won't be called that name," the rabbit spirit refused.

The man in green looked at the rabbit spirit's refusal and recalled what she had just said. He smiled, "I didn't name you based on your eye color. I named you Hong Yan, not Hong Yan. Did you hear me clearly?" the man in green said, leaning down to look at the rabbit spirit.

"Those two words..." the rabbit spirit said, looking up and meeting the man in green's eyes. Suddenly, for some reason, the rabbit spirit's heart began to beat violently. It turned its gaze away and said, "Are they different?"

"Of course they are different. Hong Yan sounds much better than your eye color," the man in green said, still staring at the rabbit spirit's side profile.

The rabbit spirit swallowed and said, "Can you move your face away?"

"Why?" the man in green asked.

"I don't know why, but when I look at your face, my heart feels uncomfortable," the rabbit spirit expressed its feelings.

Upon hearing this, the man in green casually grabbed the rabbit spirit's ear and lifted it. "Are you sick?" he said, and then he hugged it.

The rabbit spirit had never been cared for like this before. Now, lying in the man in green's arms, it felt peaceful.

"Why aren't you talking?" the man in green asked, gently shaking the rabbit spirit's body.

The rabbit spirit said, "No, it's just a strange feeling."

The man in green looked at the rabbit spirit's small head and then at the dirt on its white fur. "Let's go, I'll take you to get washed."

Upon hearing this, the rabbit spirit struggled in the man in green's arms.

The man in green looked at the rabbit spirit, which had suddenly started struggling, with confusion and smiled. "Don't worry, I won't wash you; you can wash yourself."

"I don't want to wash," the rabbit spirit said while struggling.

The man in green looked around and then whispered in the rabbit spirit's ear, "Let me tell you, if you stay this dirty, you'll regret it when you transform into human form."

"Why?" the rabbit spirit asked, looking up.

The man in green smiled at the rabbit spirit at close range. "If you're this dirty, your human face won't be good-looking. But if you wash up, maybe you'll be a great beauty."

"A great beauty, as beautiful as an immortal?" the rabbit spirit asked.

The man in green smiled. "More beautiful than an immortal."

Upon hearing this, the rabbit spirit agreed without thinking further. "Okay, I'll wash."

"Let's go..." the man in green started to say, but then suddenly remembered Mu Anxiao, who had left temporarily. So, he sat down again and said, "Let's go rescue that person first."

"Okay," the rabbit spirit said, instantly agreeing as it remembered the ferocious appearance of the dog-headed demon.

"Alright, let's go," the man in green nodded and stood up.

"By the way, what's your name?" the rabbit spirit asked as the man in green stood up.

"My name? I'll tell you when you help me find the immortal destined maiden I like," the man in green said, putting the silver on the table and then walking around the chair, holding the rabbit spirit as he walked out of the tavern.

Meanwhile, Mu Anxiao met Xu Lanyan, who was walking towards her in the marketplace. Upon seeing Mu Anxiao, Xu Lanyan was also surprised. "Why are you here?" he couldn't see the dog-headed demons and ran directly in front of Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao looked at Xu Lanyan with feigned calm and said, "Long time no see."
