Chapter 751 Drinking Water

Mu Anxiao watched Piaoxian’s eyes and spoke with feigned anger, “You know why you didn’t tell me sooner?”

“I…”

“We also came to this conclusion after discussing Xiaonian’s appearance, don’t be angry,” Feng Qishi said in Piaoxian’s defense.

Mu Anxiao glanced at Feng Qishi, then turned to Piaoxian and asked, “Is what he said true?”

Piaoxian nodded, “Yes, what he said is true, don’t be angry.”

Mu Anxiao was silent for a few seconds, then said, “Fine, I’ll just believe you then.”

“Just believe?” Feng Qishi repeated, saying, “Mu Shazi, the way you put it, it’s as if we conspired to say this deliberately.”

However, Mu Anxiao did not respond to Feng Qishi, instead focusing her gaze on the shattered teapot.

“Where’s Rabbit?” Piaoxian asked, looking around.

“I don’t know, she’s here one moment and gone the next,” Mu Anxiao squatted down, staring at the water still bubbling with foam, and said, “This clearly isn’t colorless and odorless.” As she spoke, she reached out.

Seeing this, Feng Qishi quickly said, “Don’t move.”

Mu Anxiao was startled and quickly withdrew her hand, tilting her head up to look at Feng Qishi, who maintained a defiant attitude, “Who’s moving? Why are you shouting?”

“Get up,” Feng Qishi said again.

Mu Anxiao glanced at the foamy water on the ground, and without protest, stood up.

“Step back,” Feng Qishi commanded.

Mu Anxiao reluctantly retreated several steps and asked, “Is that good?”

“Yes,” Feng Qishi nodded.

“You care quite a bit about her,” Piaoxian said, his tone laced with jealousy.

Feng Qishi darted a glance and said, “I just don’t want to see her die here, and then have no one to collect her body.”

“Can you stop cursing me?” Mu Anxiao glared at Feng Qishi.

Feng Qishi was indeed startled by Mu Anxiao’s glare and said, “I’m not cursing you, I’m just saying what I think.”

“You…” Mu Anxiao had just uttered one word when the door was pushed open by Xiaonian. She then glared at Feng Qishi and looked at Xiaonian, “Did you finish fixing it?”

“Mm,” Xiaonian nodded, ran forward, and looked up at Mu Anxiao, saying, “I want to drink water.”

“Oh, I accidentally broke the teapot when I came back. Come, let’s find a new teapot,” Mu Anxiao said, deliberately stepping forward to block Xiaonian.

Xiaonian did not notice the shattered teapot on the ground and said, “Okay,” then turned and walked ahead.

Mu Anxiao breathed a sigh of relief, signaled to Piaoxian, and followed Xiaonian.

Piaoxian understood her meaning. The moment Mu Anxiao and Xiaonian left the room, he cast a spell to instantly clean up the broken teapot and the poisoned water on the ground.

“Envious, aren’t you?” Feng Qishi said to Piaoxian.

Piaoxian said, “Thanks just now.”

“You’re welcome, with you here, I have at least one more companion,” Feng Qishi said with a grin.

“What companion?” Piaoxian asked, looking at Feng Qishi with a confused expression.

Feng Qishi chuckled a couple of times and said, “A companion who is ordered around and scolded by Mu Shazi with me.”

“I’m not your companion,” Piaoxian said, then turned and left the room.

Immediately, Feng Qishi looked at Yan and said, “Let’s go.”

“Where to?” Yan asked.

“Let’s go take a look, there might be some good drama,” Feng Qishi smirked, then strode towards the door.

Yan followed him.

In an instant, Mu Anxiao arrived outside the old woman’s room with Xiaonian.

The next second, just as Mu Anxiao was about to speak, Feng Qishi, sensing the situation, rushed to her side, “The woman’s personal maid is with you, be careful.”

Mu Anxiao gave Feng Qishi a sidelong glance, then shouted, “Steward, are you there?”

Inside the room, the old woman’s heart sank. She stood up and walked to the door, asking a question she already knew the answer to, “Who is it?”

“It’s us, open the door,” Mu Anxiao said.

Then, the old woman hesitated and said, “Oh, I’m busy with something right now, you should go.”

“Open the door,” Mu Anxiao said again.

The old woman’s eyes sank, but she still opened the door, “Why are you here?”

“I know about the situation. You shouldn’t come for the next couple of days,” Mu Anxiao whispered.

The old woman frowned and asked, “You know?”

“Mm,” Mu Anxiao nodded, then slanted her eyes and said, “Tell us to get lost.”

“Huh?” The old woman was stunned.

“Quick, someone is watching,” Mu Anxiao whispered a reminder.

Feng Qishi breathed a sigh of relief and turned back to Piaoxian.

Hearing this, the old woman immediately and cooperatively roared, “What are you doing here? Get lost!”

“You just said you’d get us blankets, how can your face change faster than flipping a book?” Mu Anxiao shouted.

Behind a tree, the personal maid watched the old woman’s red face and Mu Anxiao’s shamelessly retreating back, she smirked, stood up, and tiptoed away.

Xiaonian cautiously glanced behind her and said, “She’s gone.”

Upon hearing this, Mu Anxiao breathed a sigh of relief and said, “Alright, remember what I told you.”

“Mm,” the old woman nodded.

Mu Anxiao smiled slightly, then took Xiaonian’s hand and turned to leave.

The three of them stood by the tree where the personal maid had been, watching Mu Anxiao and Xiaonian leave. Yan asked, “Where else is Mu Anxiao going?”

“Who knows,” Feng Qishi shrugged his shoulders, pointing in the direction Mu Anxiao was going, “We’ll find out if we go see.”

“Okay,” Yan agreed.

Piaoxian said, “Mu Anxiao wants to change the old woman’s fate.”

“Never mind anything else, let’s go,” Feng Qishi grabbed Piaoxian’s arm.

Piaoxian was stunned for a moment and followed Mu Anxiao with Feng Qishi.

This time, Mu Anxiao brought Xiaonian to the woman’s room.

“Auntie, why are we here?” Xiaonian asked Mu Anxiao with a confused expression.

Mu Anxiao said, “Aren’t you thirsty? Come in and drink some water.”

“Perhaps not,” Xiaonian took a step back.

Mu Anxiao looked down at Xiaonian’s timid little face and said, “Don’t worry, you have your auntie here.”

“But…”

“No buts, let’s go,” Mu Anxiao said, holding Xiaonian’s hand as they walked up the steps.

At the same time, the personal maid happened to pull the door open. The moment she saw Mu Anxiao and Xiaonian, her face fell, “Why are you here?”

“I accidentally broke the teapot when I went back today, and we didn’t know where to get water, so we came here,” Mu Anxiao said righteously.

Hearing Mu Anxiao’s righteous tone, the personal maid’s gaze flickered and she said, “There’s no water here, you should leave quickly.”

“The child and I are thirsty,” Mu Anxiao deliberately made things difficult, “Anyway, I’m going to drink water at your place, what are you going to do about it?”

“What do you mean?” the personal maid asked impatiently, frowning.

Mu Anxiao coldly spat out two words: “Drink water.”
