Chapter 1312 Strange Jade

Wan Sha calmly watched the green jade stone in Mu Xiang's hand emitting a faint green light. A smile played on her lips. "You're too naive," she said, reaching out to touch the stone.

Seeing this, Mu Xiang quickly closed her eyes.

In the next moment, Wan Sha's hand was enveloped by a ball of green light. Her other hand, which had been holding the lantern, loosened, and the lantern fell to the ground. The hand surrounded by green light, no longer under her control, turned her around and propelled her towards the mansion gate.

Mu Xiang watched Wan Sha being carried away by the green light, then breathed a sigh of relief. She clutched the jade stone to her chest and mumbled, "Thank you." Turning, she looked at the old man's grandson, who had appeared at some point, and said, "Brother."

Although the old man's grandson hadn't seen Wan Sha, he had seen the jade stone in Mu Xiang's hand begin to glow with a green light.

"Your mother is indeed a demon," he stated.

"My mother is not."

"Not? Then fine," the old man's grandson pointed to the jade stone Mu Xiang held tightly in her palm. "How do you explain the demonic light emanating from your jade stone?"

"That's not demonic light."

"You still say it's not. Just after you took that out, it became cold around here. Now," the old man's grandson said in an accusatory tone, "why isn't it cold anymore? How do you explain that?"

"I..."

Mu Xiang's mother, a humble servant during her lifetime, had peculiar habits. Especially strange was the jade stone her mother had given Mu Xiang.

Ever since Mu Xiang was young, whenever she encountered danger or was bullied by her half-brother, she would take out the jade stone. Afterward, the weather would change dramatically. Particularly in the summer, as soon as Mu Xiang produced the item, the weather would turn cool.

This was something the old man's grandson had always found perplexing, but he had no proof that Mu Xiang was a demon, so he could only endure it each time.

After what had happened outside the mansion, the old man's grandson harbored a grudge.

Seeing Mu Xiang at a loss for words, he interrupted, "Stop trying to explain. Hand it over to me." He stepped closer to Mu Xiang.

Mu Xiang blinked in surprise. "Why should I give it to you? My mother gave it to me."

"You've always used that thing to scare me since childhood. You haven't taken it out in recent years, and I had indeed forgotten about it. However," the old man's grandson smirked, "it seems that thing is quite valuable now. If it were sold, it would fetch a good price, wouldn't it?"

"My mother gave it to me," Mu Xiang said, stepping back.

The old man's grandson laughed. "So what? As the saying goes, a married daughter is like spilled water. You're about to marry that fool, and his family is a cultivator clan. If they see this demonic object, they'll surely discard it. Rather than that, you might as well give it to me."

"I don't want to," Mu Xiang refused, shaking her head.

The old man's grandson narrowed his eyes. "Your refusal is useless, sister. I haven't forgotten about you and that brat bullying me earlier. Give it to me now, and I won't say anything about you meeting him in secret. Refuse, and don't blame me for being impolite."

"What do you want to do?"

"I'll let everyone know that you were meeting someone secretly in the middle of the night. You..."

"If you dare to say anything about me, I'll talk about you and that young girl. Your wife has always asked me to supervise you. You should know this."

"You..." This was the old man's grandson's greatest weakness. Hearing Mu Xiang's words, he became furious. "I'll kill you!" he exclaimed, lunging at Mu Xiang.

Mu Xiang began to dodge.

On the street.

Mu Anxiao walked beside the old man, patting her forehead. "Oh, I forgot something."

The old man glanced at Mu Anxiao's exaggerated behavior and asked, "What did you forget?"

Mu Anxiao replied, "I forgot to ask your granddaughter about the agreement between you and that brat."

"It's no longer important."

"Why isn't it important?"

"Because, I..." The old man sighed. "I remember now."

"What agreement? Tell me about it," Mu Anxiao said, her face full of excitement.

Seeing Mu Anxiao's persistent curiosity, the old man smiled. "You really want to know."

"Yes, I do," Mu Anxiao said, grabbing the old man's arm.

Just then, Feng Qishi, walking towards them, saw this scene. "Mu the Fool, what are you doing?"

Hearing this, Mu Anxiao tsked, let go of the old man, and stopped with him. They turned to look at Feng Qishi, who had stopped opposite them. "You've come at the perfect time."

"What are you talking about?" Feng Qishi asked, his face full of curiosity.

Mu Anxiao raised her chin. "You want to know."

"Isn't that a stupid question? If I can ask, then of course I want to know."

"I'm not telling you," Mu Anxiao glared at Feng Qishi.

Feng Qishi let out a soft hum, returned to his normal demeanor, and looked at the old man. "Has your business been resolved?"

"Yes, thanks to her," the old man gestured towards Mu Anxiao.

Upon hearing the old man's words, Mu Anxiao straightened her back. "That's right, it was me."

"Look at you," Feng Qishi chuckled, then looked down and noticed the slightly swollen half of Mu Anxiao's face. "Mu the Fool, who slapped you again?" he asked, reaching out and gently touching that side of her face.

Mu Anxiao looked at Feng Qishi indifferently. "None of your business," she said, pushing his finger away.

Feng Qishi smiled. "Must have been a woman."

"You..." Mu Anxiao's eyes flickered. "Stop guessing."

Feng Qishi stared at Mu Anxiao's eyes, which deliberately avoided his gaze, and smiled. "Grandpa, is that right?" He looked at the old man.

The old man was not good at lying. When Feng Qishi asked, he nodded. "Yes, that girl was impolite and scanned her, and she was unhappy, so she scanned her back. That's how she was misunderstood."

Hearing the old man's words, Feng Qishi laughed uncharitably. "Mu the Fool, you're a man. If you look at a woman like that, and she doesn't hit you, who will?"

"..." Mu Anxiao looked at Feng Qishi's arrogant expression, pouted, and raised her hand. "Laugh one more time, and I'll slap you. Believe it or not."

"Go ahead and slap me," Feng Qishi leaned down in front of the old man, brought his face close to Mu Anxiao's, and stared into her eyes. "I'll see if you dare."

Mu Anxiao met Feng Qishi's gaze calmly, her mouth twitching. She pushed his forehead away. "Don't get so close to me." She then took a step back and removed her hand.

Feng Qishi felt no embarrassment and calmly said, "That old man took the girl named Alun inside." He then straightened up.

"What?"

Because Feng Qishi had changed the subject so quickly, Mu Anxiao hadn't had time to react, and her excitement got the better of her.
