"It's not about who you are. Do you understand my situation with him? Do you understand him? Do you understand me?"
"I don't understand either of you, but I only believe what I see," Mu Anxiao said coldly.
"What did you see? Tell me," Shi Momo shouted.
Mu Anxiao's expression was blank. "I see a scumbag who doesn't cherish or value life, someone who is vain and wants to control others' lives," she said, glancing at Feng Qishi. "A spoiled rich girl."
Hearing Mu Anxiao's words, laced with cold disdain, Shi Momo trembled with anger. "You're asking for it," she declared, quickly pushing the man aside and raising her hand towards Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao calmly observed Shi Momo's raised hand. "If you strike me, I'll take it as your admission."
"I admit it," Shi Momo said, promptly slapping Mu Anxiao across the face.
The next second, Mu Anxiao's head turned to the side.
"Shi Momo, you've gone too far," the man exclaimed sternly.
Shi Momo looked at the man. "I thought you'd stand your ground, but I guess you're just like that."
"For the past month, I've been trying everything to keep you, and I even comforted myself multiple times when I saw you dating different men, telling myself it was your mother's decision. Only yesterday did I realize it had nothing to do with your parents," the man said. "I admit, just moments ago, I felt like losing you meant losing the world. But now, I see clearly. You are, just as she said, a vain woman who loves whoever is closest, a true渣女 (zhānǚ - a derogatory term for a woman)."
"Let me tell you the truth. During the years I was with you, I was also involved with other men. Did you think I bought this necklace myself?" Shi Momo tugged at the necklace around her neck and said, "Let me tell you, other men bought it for me. They are far more successful than you."
The man didn't get angry. Instead, he smiled faintly. "A month ago, I would have cried and gotten angry. But now, I just want to tell you, keep playing your games. When you get tired of it, you'll understand what kind of person you are. By then, even if you came looking for me, I wouldn't give you a second glance."
"Keep being so narcissistic," Shi Momo scoffed.
Feng Qishi watched Shi Momo's retreating back and said, "You can leave."
Hearing this, Shi Momo paused, turned back to Feng Qishi, and said, "Qishi, this is between him and me. It has nothing to do with you. Let's go."
"I've never had a girlfriend before. If I got involved with you, I'd be at a disadvantage," Feng Qishi stated frankly.
"As your elder sister, I will treat you well," Shi Momo said, returning to stand in front of Feng Qishi.
Feng Qishi took a step back. "No need. You're not my type."
"You..."
"Is your face okay?" Feng Qishi intentionally interrupted Shi Momo, walked around her, and asked Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao rubbed her face and said, "I'm fine." She then turned to the man. "I'm happy for you that you can see things clearly."
"Thank you," the man said with a shy smile.
Shi Momo took a few deep breaths, turned to Feng Qishi, and said, "Feng Qishi, don't regret this." With that, she left.
A few minutes later, as the three of them watched Shi Momo's car drive away, Mu Anxiao said, "Driving her away won't do you any good."
"If I go back, I'll just get scolded by my mom. It doesn't matter," Feng Qishi shrugged.
