"You can go back now," Zhang Yan said without turning his head.
"Are you angry?" Feng Qishi asked with a worried expression.
"Not angry, but my granddaughter seems displeased," Zhang Yan slowly turned to face Feng Qishi. "Let's talk about this privately." He then made a gesture as if making a phone call.
"Alright, I'm leaving," Feng Qishi agreed, turned, smiled at Liu Xian and Fan Yan, and departed.
Fan Yan glanced at Feng Qishi's retreating back, then turned to Zhang Yan and said, "Boss, isn't he recruiting students from that cleaning school?"
"I can see that," Zhang Yan said, looking at Fan Yan.
Fan Yan nodded.
On the other side of the wall, Mu Anxiao heard Fan Yan's words and instantly recalled the incident where the wolf demon used Uncle Chen as a substitute. She quickly stepped forward to the cave entrance and said, "I'll go work at that school."
Hearing this, Fan Yan turned to look at Mu Anxiao, his mouth twitching as he asked, "Can you handle it?"
Mu Anxiao ignored Fan Yan, her eyes fixed resolutely on Zhang Yan.
Zhang Yan glanced at Fan Yan and Liu Xian, who let out a sigh of relief, and said, "You two, go outside for a moment."
"Okay," Liu Xian nodded, reached out to pull Fan Yan, and they left the room.
Afterward, only the two of them remained here.
"Did the wolf demon escape?"
"You heard it," Mu Anxiao said, looking at Zhang Yan through the cave entrance.
"Vaguely, but," Zhang Yan took a step forward, "you don't have to work there; you could just go inside."
"No, I must protect the biology teacher because I'm worried the wolf demon will find him," Mu Anxiao said firmly.
Zhang Yan understood Mu Anxiao's intention and confirmed, "Are you sure you want to go? That job isn't easy."
"Why didn't you say that when you asked me to before?" Mu Anxiao asked.
Zhang Yan gave an awkward smile. "I knew you'd refuse then," he said. "Who knew, now that you've agreed, I'm actually a bit hesitant to let you go."
"It's okay, I can do it."
"Then fine, I'll inform them."
Mu Anxiao nodded, then suddenly remembered Zhang Yan's words from last night and asked, "By the way, didn't you want me to work for you, and you said I couldn't appear during the inspection? Why has it changed today?"
"I was just saying that casually. I inquired this morning too. You can stay here, but there's no position because your stay is too short," Zhang Yan explained.
"Then how will you resolve my identity?"
"You're just temporary. I have a way to help you bypass this," Zhang Yan said confidently.
"Then where will I sleep tonight?" Mu Anxiao asked, looking at the large hole.
"We'll tidy up in a moment and put a board to block it. It won't be a problem," Zhang Yan arranged appropriately.
Mu Anxiao said nothing and turned to look at the small jade gourd that had fallen on the ground, sighing.
"I'll go make arrangements. They said they need someone to start tomorrow," Zhang Yan said.
"Okay, thank you," Mu Anxiao said, stepping forward and crouching down. She began to use her cultivation to repair the small jade gourd, thinking, The wolf demon must not have fled far. I should go look for it later. With that thought, she picked up the repaired small jade gourd and stood up.
However, Feng Qishi returned not long after leaving the courtyard.
"Why haven't you left?" Liu Xian asked, looking at Feng Qishi, who had stopped at the courtyard gate, with confusion.
Feng Qishi pursed his lips and stepped in front of Liu Xian, smiling sheepishly, "No, I can't go back yet."
