Chapter 321 Fearing Misunderstanding

"Why, give me a valid reason."

"Shi Momo's sister is dating early, I need to help resolve it," Feng Qishi said intentionally.

Upon hearing that it was related to Shi Momo, Madam Feng immediately agreed, "Alright, you wait."

Feng Qishi didn't speak. He moved his phone aside and glanced at the male homeroom teacher standing at the door. Before he could say anything, the teacher's expression became anxious. "Qishi, are you feeling unwell? Have you taken your medicine?"

"I have, it's just a bit..."

Feng Qishi was halfway through his sentence when the teacher's phone rang.

"Just a moment," he said, taking out his phone and turning away to answer. "Hello, you're speaking."

"Hello, I am Feng Qishi's mother. Um, I'd like to request leave for him. He said he wasn't feeling well this morning," Madam Feng said with a gentle smile. "I've already sent my driver to pick him up. He's at the school gate."

Feng Qishi leaned forward, watching the teacher's retreating figure, and a smile crept onto his lips.

"Alright, I understand," the male teacher said. He hung up the phone, turned back to Feng Qishi, and said, "Okay, go pack up. Your mother has sent someone, so get your things and leave."

"Okay," Feng Qishi agreed, pretending to walk slowly into the classroom.

His deskmate, a girl, saw Feng Qishi return and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"

Feng Qishi picked up his schoolbag, added a few more test papers, and looked at his deskmate. "I'm fine, thank you."

"You're welcome," his deskmate replied with a faint smile.

Feng Qishi slung his schoolbag over his shoulder and left the classroom, passing by his classmates.

Meanwhile, Zhang Yan was closely following Mu Anxiao. "Uh, I have something to tell you."

"Say it," Mu Anxiao replied without turning her head.

"I told Feng Qishi the truth," Zhang Yan said weakly.

Mu Anxiao frowned, turned to look at Zhang Yan, and asked, "No, why did you tell him the truth?"

"He's going to find out about some things sooner or later. Besides, if he asks you about his sister, how are you going to answer?"

"How I answer is my business. Now that you've said it, how am I supposed to talk to him?" Mu Anxiao expressed her helplessness towards Zhang Yan for the only time here.

"I didn't do it on purpose."

"You did it on purpose. However, since it's already happened, I'll explain it to him," Mu Anxiao said. She took out Zhang Yan's old flip phone from her pocket and quickly dialed Feng Qishi's number.

Seeing Mu Anxiao's professional demeanor, Zhang Yan couldn't help but smile. "I didn't expect this guy... to remember Feng Qishi's number."

Mu Anxiao glanced at Zhang Yan and remained silent.

Feng Qishi walked out of the school gate. He glanced back at the security guard behind him and took out his phone. Before the last ring, he answered, "Who is it?"

"It's me," Mu Anxiao said softly, uttering two words.

"You still have the nerve to call me? I asked you to check on my sister, and what did you do?"

"I clearly said I was going to monitor Yan Ruoruo, and only then would I check on your sister. Of course," Mu Anxiao said, "I admit I forgot about it."

"Do you remember what I said that day about my sister's abnormal behavior?" Feng Qishi asked, not wanting to dwell on the matter too much.

"Your sister is fine," Mu Anxiao stated decisively.

"My sister hasn't spoken to us for several days and is indifferent to my mother when she returns. I'm worried she's possessed by that second evil spirit," Feng Qishi whispered.

Mu Anxiao thought for a moment and said firmly, "Impossible. The second evil spirit was clearly targeting Shi Momo and has nothing to do with your sister. Don't worry," she glanced at a passerby, and continued, "She'll be fine."

"Where are you going?" Feng Qishi suddenly asked.

"Why are you asking me this at school?" Mu Anxiao frowned slightly.

"You know I'm in class, yet you still called me," Feng Qishi said intentionally.

Mu Anxiao paused for a moment and replied, "Then why did you answer?"

"I've asked for leave. Tell me where you are," Feng Qishi said calmly.

"I'm going to a certain shopping mall," Mu Anxiao said very casually.

"I know," Feng Qishi said, then hung up. He walked to the roadside, signaled, and a taxi stopped in front of him.

Mu Anxiao took out her phone. Before she could speak, Zhang Yan said, "You actually told him? Are you stupid?"

"I just want to show him the reality so he doesn't overthink things," Mu Anxiao said, actually still worried that Feng Qishi would misunderstand her.

"Alright," Zhang Yan nodded.

At the same time, Yan Ruoruo had arrived at the place where Shi Momo had invited them for coffee that day. A young man in a floral shirt sat by the floor-to-ceiling window and waved at Yan Ruoruo.

Yan Ruoruo smiled and quickly walked to the table and sat down. "You're so nice," she said, then lowered her head to look at the ordered juice.

"This one is cheaper," the young man said, winking.

"You're so nice," Yan Ruoruo said, picking up the juice and taking a sip.

"You didn't bring any bodyguards, did you?" the young man asked intentionally.

Yan Ruoruo nodded and smiled, "Don't worry, I've already lost that guy."

"Does she bother you every day?"

"Yes, for several days in a row. I don't know how she has so much persistence. However," Yan Ruoruo said, "Don't worry, I've already lost her. She definitely won't find me here."

"That's good then," the young man said, relieved.

"You ignored me these past few days. I thought you disliked me," Yan Ruoruo said with a hint of grievance.

The young man smiled faintly. "Actually, I was angry."

"I knew it," Yan Ruoruo said, lowering her head dejectedly.

"However, I wasn't angry at you. I was angry at that person."

"Actually..." Yan Ruoruo said. During her interactions with Mu Anxiao these past few days, she found that Mu Anxiao wasn't that annoying. Hearing the young man's words, she hesitated.

"What were you going to say?" the young man asked, picking up the coffee cup in front of him.

Yan Ruoruo forced a smile and said, "I wasn't going to say anything."

"Why do I feel like your smile is so fake?"

"She kept inviting me to meals these days. I think she's... quite nice," Yan Ruoruo said in a small voice.

Hearing Yan Ruoruo praise Mu Anxiao, the young man clenched his fist, but maintained a smile on his face. "It's okay. Perhaps my judgment and yours are different. However, I think she was trying to buy you off."

"I don't think so..." Yan Ruoruo said softly.

The young man deliberately ignored Yan Ruoruo's words, took a sip of coffee, and asked, "Where are we going later?"

"Let's watch a movie."

"Okay, but," the young man said with a smile, pointing to the coffee cup, "you pay for this."

"Huh?" Yan Ruoruo exclaimed, her mouth twitching. "No, I'm a girl, asking me to pay, isn't that a bit much?"
