"You're my brother's friends." Feng Feng completely forgot her situation, lifted the quilt, and leaned out to say, "What's wrong with my brother lately? So many friends, it's great."
Feng Qishi looked helplessly at Feng Feng's overly familiar demeanor and said, "Sister, you've recovered too quickly."
"Brother, I'm in the hospital now, so naturally, I'm cured," Feng Feng said, glancing at the Wolf Demon and Zhang Yan. "How did you two meet my brother?"
Zhang Yan was speechless.
The Wolf Demon cautiously looked at Mu Anxiao and whispered, "If you knew this would happen, you might as well not have messed with her memory."
Mu Anxiao stepped back beside the Wolf Demon and said, "Cut the nonsense."
"For someone like this to become like that is truly a... " The Wolf Demon shook his head, "miracle."
"Boring." Mu Anxiao glanced at the Wolf Demon and said, "Alright, we're leaving."
"Aren't you going to stay here to look after my sister?" Feng Qishi asked unnecessarily.
Mu Anxiao froze for a moment, glanced at Zhang Yan beside him, and said, "Your sister has already recovered, so naturally, you don't need me anymore, right?"
"No matter what, I'm her brother, so," Feng Qishi smiled faintly, "I'll trouble you tonight. We'll leave first." As he spoke, he stepped forward and stood in front of Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao furrowed his brows, unable to fathom Feng Qishi's thoughts.
Feng Qishi patted Mu Anxiao's shoulder and said, "Alright, let's go."
"Brother, you stay," Feng Feng called out.
Feng Qishi stiffened, his expression freezing, and turned to look at Feng Feng. "Sister, it's inconvenient for me to stay here. Just let..."
"You all stay together," Feng Feng said excitedly, smiling. "It'll be more lively that way."
"You've recovered too quickly, haven't you?" Zhang Yan asked casually.
Feng Feng glanced at Mu Anxiao and said, "Some things are easy to let go of. I just got stuck in a rut, and that's how I ended up like that. After attempting suicide, I've realized that people should be happy. The most important thing is to protect oneself."
"Your realization is truly profound," Zhang Yan said helplessly.
Mu Anxiao sighed.
Feng Qishi hadn't expected his sister to be in this state after her serious illness. He paused for a moment and said, "Sister, you should get some more rest."
"Yan Ruoruo apologized to me today, Brother," Feng Feng frowned. "What do you think, should I forgive her?"
"That's up to you. Why are you asking me?" Feng Qishi replied helplessly.
"I've offended most of my classmates lately. What should I do?" Feng Feng asked again.
Feng Qishi clicked his tongue. "You ask me, who else would I ask?"
"You ask him," Feng Feng pointed at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao furrowed his brows. "What you want to do is your business. You have to ask yourself."
"I think," Feng Feng pondered for a moment, then said seriously, "I need to leave that place."
"Are you going to cause trouble?" Feng Qishi asked.
"That place has become a shadow in my life. If I continue to stay there," Feng Feng's eyes darkened, "it will only be detrimental to me, with no benefits. I need to leave that sorrowful place."
"You..."
Before Feng Qishi could utter a word, Mu Anxiao exclaimed, "Since you want to leave, then leave."
"Silly Mu, what are you saying?" Feng Qishi turned his head to look at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao didn't look at him but stared directly at Feng Feng and said, "From now on, start over for yourself."
"It's so comfortable talking to you," Feng Feng smiled.
Mu Anxiao smiled with his eyes lowered.
Feng Qishi looked at the smile in Mu Anxiao's eyes in surprise, then at Feng Feng's smile, and had nothing more to say.
Zhang Yan was relieved to see Feng Feng becoming more cheerful.
The Wolf Demon made no comment, took out his long-vibrating phone from his pocket, and answered it.
"Hello, what is it?" he asked impatiently.
"Where are you?" a woman's voice asked from the other end of the phone.
The Wolf Demon sighed. "Damn woman, what does it matter to you where I am?"
"I'm your mother. Does it matter to me where you are?" the woman said gently, not daring to raise her voice.
The Wolf Demon paused for a moment and then hung up the phone.
"This isn't good for you," Zhang Yan said after hearing the concern in the woman's voice.
The Wolf Demon put his phone back into his pocket and said, "They keep telling me to take medicine and get shots. I've had enough. They all wear fake concern on their faces, and it makes me sick."
"You're quite cold-blooded," Feng Qishi remarked.
"Take good care of your sister. Your sister isn't exactly a hassle-free person."
"How am I not hassle-free?" Feng Feng protested, pointing at the Wolf Demon and asking.
"You're hassle-free, you even tried to commit suicide," the Wolf Demon said. He took out his phone again and checked it. It was a text message: I'm waiting for you downstairs at the hospital.
Zhang Yan leaned over to look at the text on the screen and asked, "Do they always manage to find you like this?"
"I can see that."
"This is more effective than Mu Anxiao's circular disk. That thing is always malfunctioning," Zhang Yan said, pointing at the phone.
"What's going on?" The Wolf Demon was confused as to why his body's mother could find him at any time. This feeling made him uncomfortable.
"What are you guys talking about?" Feng Feng asked.
Zhang Yan hadn't expected Feng Feng to hear his words. His expression stiffened, and he turned to say, "Nothing, we're discussing his mother."
"Is that so?" Feng Feng said. She then looked up at Feng Qishi and was instantly startled. "Brother, why are you glaring at me?"
"Sleep," Feng Qishi said, pointing at Feng Feng's face.
Feng Feng's mouth twitched, and she said, "Fine, I'll sleep, but..." She glanced at Mu Anxiao, who was acting as a spectator, "You two must stay."
"I don't have to," Mu Anxiao said coldly.
"No, stay," Feng Feng insisted excitedly.
Feng Qishi, considering Feng Feng had just recovered, reluctantly compromised.
"Then you stay too," he said, turning to look at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao looked at Feng Feng's completely changed demeanor and, as a reward, agreed. "Okay, I'll stay."
"Yay, this will be lively," Feng Feng became excited.
Mu Anxiao rubbed the back of his head and said nothing.
Zhang Yan glanced at the Wolf Demon and said, "Let's go."
"Go," the Wolf Demon agreed, looking at Zhang Yan. "But you have to promise to let me go home with you."
"No," Zhang Yan refused outright.
Upon hearing this, the Wolf Demon stepped back and sat down on the sofa. "If that's the case, I'm not leaving."
Zhang Yan looked at the Wolf Demon's childish behavior and considered the hospital's rules, then reluctantly said, "Fine, let's go."
"You agreed," the Wolf Demon said, looking up.
Zhang Yan nodded helplessly.
Mu Anxiao glanced at the Wolf Demon and said, "I'll come find you tomorrow."
"Okay," the Wolf Demon readily replied.
Zhang Yan waved goodbye to Feng Feng and the others and turned to leave first.
After they had all left, Feng Feng burst into laughter. "Haha, this is actually my first time being hospitalized."
"Sister, you're a bit too unconcerned," Feng Qishi said, placing a hand on his hip and looking at Feng Feng.
