"Thank you." Mu Anxiao didn't even look up.
Shen Yan completely ignored the girl.
"After eating my food, you're my person."
Hearing this, Mu Anxiao was startled and choked. She put down her chopsticks, turned her head to look at the girl standing behind her, and said, "At your young age, can you be more careful with your words? What do you mean 'my person'? Your father sent this to me. What does it have to do with you?"
"Let me tell you, that person said that if I marry you, I can directly ascend to immortality. If you don't have this ability," the girl smiled, "I wouldn't have brought you back."
"You're using me..." Mu Anxiao pointed at Shen Yan. "Us."
"Don't lump me and you together," Shen Yan emphasized again.
Mu Anxiao became agitated. "Young Master, she has improper thoughts about you. How can you be like this?"
"She said marrying you, not me, Young Master," Shen Yan said intentionally.
Mu Anxiao froze, glared at Shen Yan, then turned back and picked up her chopsticks to continue eating.
Shen Yan continued to wipe the kettle.
The girl stood awkwardly behind Mu Anxiao and said, "Since you're ignoring me."
Mu Anxiao squinted, took a sip of porridge, and said, "This must be a cultivation sect. Even the food is so bland." She picked up a piece of meat. "The meat is all lean, not fatty at all. I still prefer fatty meat."
"You're ignoring me." The girl said, extending her hands and conjuring a rope, then pulling each end with one hand: "This is what happens when you ignore me."
Shen Yan cleared his throat and uttered two words: "Be careful."
"Huh?" Mu Anxiao was startled. She quickly stuffed the meat into her mouth and twisted her body away as the girl wrapped the rope around her neck.
Immediately, the girl leaned down and met Mu Anxiao's eyes at close range: "If you don't agree, I'll strangle you."
"Strangle her, then she'll be my little Yin official."
Hearing this, Mu Anxiao struggled against the girl while glancing at the Yin official who had appeared beside them, saying angrily, "Why are you everywhere?"
"Who are you talking to?" the girl asked, loosening her grip.
Mu Anxiao looked back at the girl and said, "I'm talking to you. Who else would I be talking to?"
"What?" The girl was bewildered and removed the rope from Mu Anxiao's neck.
Mu Anxiao rubbed her neck, glanced at the relieved Yin official beside her, and asked, "Miss, you came to find me so late, is this the only thing you wanted to say?"
"I just wanted to see you," the girl pointed at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao turned her chair to face the girl and said, "At your young age, you should say less about getting married in the future."
"Why?"
"It's too strange. Why?" Mu Anxiao was still rubbing her shoulder.
"I'm already fifteen."
"You're already fifteen," Mu Anxiao mimicked the girl's tone and snorted, "I'm eighteen and not thinking about marrying anyone, but you're fifteen and you are. It's too strange."
"You're only eighteen." The girl smiled as if she had heard good news.
"What do you mean by 'only'?" Mu Anxiao tilted her head and asked.
"I thought you were only thirteen..."
"Can you speak properly? Thirteen? Are you blind? I clearly look like I've been through a lot. Thirteen? I should at least look like fourteen."
Shen Yan gave a dry cough.
The Yin official couldn't bear to look at Mu Anxiao's current state and stared blankly at Shen Yan's kettle.
